So just for anyone who didn't know, as I myself did not know until recently, the main writer and original creator of The Stanley Parable, Davey Wreden, is streamer DougDougW's (or just DougDoug on RUclips) older brother and so he was invited on stream by Doug after TSPUD's release and had a lot to say about the game and his involvement with it. For anyone interested, there's the full VoD stream on DougDoug's Twitch channel and his archive RUclips channel (DougDougDougDoug) as well as an edited version that's about 1h shorter on his other RUclips channel (DougDougDoug). Highly recommended, Davey's a really cool dude and the two of them are the most brotherly brothers I've seen in a while. Complete with made-up embarrassing stories from childhood that they got their mom to confirm/deny on stream via text message. I'm only shilling because it's probably the closest we'll get to a developer commentary on the game and it's actually interesting to hear where a lot of the stuff came from.

It is kind of incredible how the game tricks you into caring about the bucket, simply by investing time and effort into the bucket's effect on the game. It was introduced as a joke, but when Dan fired the bucket off into space, he sounded genuinely upset when the bucket wasn't there the next run through the office, and the run after that, when the bucket reappeared, he instantly grabbed it, saying, "I need the bucket".
same with the button that says your name, it makes you forget that it exists then go on a journey then you come back to it and the “stanley” actually makes you kinda emotional 🥲

Hey RT, there's at least one more Easter egg hidden, but you'd need an access to jump. Which would mean resetting the whole progress, cuz there's no other way to get the jumps back 🤔 The method isn't too long, you just have to jump and reset the game while being midair, then you'll get unlimited jumps outside the circle. Next step is to go to the ending with the vent ending (1:32:50, thanks Sea Slug for the timestamps, you're great! ❤️) and look for something to jump on
Everything related to the new content felt like the narrator and the person at startup were terrified of the idea of appeazing the fanbase, making what they wanted while making something profitable at the same time. Just the narrator repeating "the end is not the end." over and over while being alone in the skip ending just made me incredibly sad. I know RT said to just add more but I think the point of this game is to talk about the concept of a sequel and how nervewracking it can be.

@RTGame Stream Archive: Not just for you, but for other that are not aware, the purpose of putting the pass code before the narrator is done talking, obviously without the bucket, his to unlock speed run mode, since the next time you go in the boss office he will open the door without the key pad, and then the next time the door will be open with him saying two word which will be the fastess opening, and one more thing that you need for the speed run, you need the blue room that is square because you can walk the center and reach the two door immedialty that appear randomly at the start of the game since it his the only one short enough to reach the two door as quickly as possible.
Not understanding the "8"-achievement probably means Dan hasn't played the Stanley Parable Demonstration (The demo is new content, not in the main game)
Honestly, The Stanley Parable is the only Post Modern thing that I find enjoyable. 99.99% of the time anything "post modern" I have ever experienced is just being an unbearable, contrarian, A-Hat for the sake of being such.

That is the point the game devloper intended the player to cheat the 10 year achivement, because if changing the calandar is cheating that it would not be program to work that way. For example in paper mario, I do not remember which one, but one of the NPC call you a cheater for advancing the clock 24 hour just to play the lottery again, and that is only meant as joke, and also you do not play the lottery because you did that, so that is an example of not working because you cheated
