Her conversation with Hyeonyi sheds light on Yiseo’s insecurity of her role in Saeyori’s life and her convincing herself that she was only allowed to show affection because she made his business successful and that's how their relationship was. That scene honestly broke my heart.
The way I see it is that she simply loves him, that’s why she always got his back, cause when you truly love someone, all you want for that person is to be happy in any way

I rewatched this drama and realized that he had feelings for her almost the entire time but just didn't realize it until toward the end. They drop hints about it whenever he yells at her. Sooah even notices how he's more emotional around Yiseo than her. Toward the middle of the drama, we can also see Hyunyi giving Yiseo and Saeroyi looks as if she knows how they feel about each other.
I've been trying to make people understand that he just didn't start loving her towards the end... When Yi Seo got Evidence against Geum for Saeroyi... That was the first time that it was rather clear to the audience that Saeroyi felt so much for Yi Seo

That 2:37 moment in the drama really made me cry 😭 when everyone said Yiseo is selfish, i would rather think of her as selfless. Cause everything she did and want right from the beginning, is to help Saeroyi to achieve his dream. And she knows that Saeroyi perhaps wouldn't reciprocate her love at all. And this 2:37, i just think that perhaps Yiseo is almost at her limits, that maybe she would stop hoping anymore but thankfully Saeroyi finally realized his long unknown feeling to Yiseo is actually love 💙

But like Yiseo said, the one thing that is similar for them is both of them didn't know the warmth of others. Yiseo only learnt to build friendship when she knows Saeroyi, which she learnt to be friend with Hyun Yi, Toni and Seungkwon. While Saeroyi, like you said he is too focused on revenge and his first love, that he didn't know how to appreciate everything that he actually got which is nice loyal friends and a girl who loves him veryyyy much. I think it would be better if we have one extra episode so that they can show how much Saeroyi actually loves Yiseo when he realized it. I thought of the same thing regarding the 2:37 moment too...many people seem to have believed that there's no way Yi Seo would have thought of giving up but everytime I rewatch that scene...starting from how she ran away from the restaurant after seeing Royi with Soo Ah, her exasperated expression when her mom mentioned going to Europe for holiday and finally her desolated expression😞after the lights are turned off (which she probably got from pondering over her mother's word, "But if this has been going on and on for years, doesn't that mean there's really no chance for you?") Everything about that scene kind of implied that Yi Seo did consider the thought of giving up her pursuit of Saeroyi.From how she reacted in the hospital after regaining consciousness,with her not giving a single damn abt her health and went straight to babbling abt ways to destroy Jangga, we obviously know that she hasn't really given up on Saeroyi after all yet I still feel like the 2:37 moment is the first time in her life that she ever did seriously ponder over the thoughts of giving up on Saeroyi

Idk if we are both saying the same thing lol but When I watch it I thought she was giving up on pursuing him romantically but she would always love him unconditionally because her love for him was so complex and she knew in her soul it was one of a kind. But I think she was facing reality that it was gonna be painful imagining herself having to move on, and perhaps him moving on with someone which is why I think she broke down.

Wonderful character development in Itaewon Class especially for Yi-Seo. She goes from an uncaring ruthless spoiled rich girl to this successful hardworking woman deeply in love with Ro-Yi. Instead of breaking hearts she gets hers broken. It just goes to show how powerful an emotion love is. How transformative it is. And finally he ends the denial he has towards her and realizes how much he loves her.

@@christielimable It was frustrating, because I really enjoyed the Vagabond series up to that point. Lots of great action scenes, plot twists, schemes and villans. But the love interest tease, without a payoff for me, was such a downer, it left an overall bad memory of the series, which sucks. If you are looking for entertaining, but not worrying about a love story. I recommend "The Uncanny Counter". Fun, action packed series, a tiny touch of romance, but not the focus of the story.

Itaewon Class was beautifully done. I just loved how it ended. The story, the characters, the diversity, the revenge, the acceptance, the forgiveness, the success and the love. I’m so glad Saeroyi succeeded, it was inspiring. I’m also glad he chose Yi-seo over Soo ah. Yi-seo deserved Saeroyi’s love more. This is my favourite kdrama and it really resonates with me. I never knew I could love a show so much where it has me thinking about it a lot. I hope I’m able to find unconditional love one day. I really learned a lot from Saeroyi. Being honest with yourself is very important. This show is going to take me a while to get over it.
When Saeroyi said love isn't give and take I realized that Yiseo knew that there was no assurance that he would love her back but still stood by him. Then when she confessed and said age was just an excuse you could tell that she was willing to do everything for him if it meant being able to be by his side.
Great edit the way she persevered and stayed and supported him throughout was admirable and in the end he realised that he cannot live without her such a great storyline
Itaewon class is such a great show , i had lots of happy , sad , touching , encouraging moments . The narrative is so clear as well as the true acting we are pleased to watch one of the precious things in this drama is this relationship, do you realise that yi seo and seuroyi have fallen in love with each other hearts and admirable valeu in life ? Not by looks or anything superficial , it took time but yiseo continued to wait , he loves her for whom she really is and that is love besides they have the best chemistry!!! Also " how does that taste? " will ever be remembered.
The moment she started sobbing seeing his scars from past and Saeroyi shared his story I lost it all 😭❤ if that's not emotional intimacy I don't know what else is !

She never gave up and continued to love all through the hurts and that's why i love her charachter and i loved how she grew up as a person. You know, out of all the FMV I watched (and believe when I say I watched A LOT, I'm still THAT obsessed) this hurt me the most. The song choice is everything! A man of action, and not just words. Loved it when he told her mom he would take care of her, then he told her, "you know I'm not just talk". A power couple. A man like Park Saeroyi, that's a MAN and his dad raised him well! Yi Seo is the main lead. She started off the show talking to a therapist, and she and Hunni are in the main series cover with the other boys, not Soo Ah. Absolutely loved this series! 💙
I feel this was the hardest moment for her (Yi Seo), she knew he didn't like her all along but just preferred having it one sided for now. To be very honest one of the worst feeling someone can experience is to get rejected even before confessing your feelings to the person. To make this scene more sad was the OST from Hotel Del Luna, I just love this drama not because of the romance and all but this drama wasn't that much of romance. There was more to learn💖 forever one of my best kdrama of all timw😊
I think Saeroyi has never loved Soo-Ah. Yes he had a crush on her and probably liked(not love) her in high school, and they went through the same tragedy which is Mr. Park’s death. So I think it’s just trauma bonding. Also I don’t think his romance with Yiseo is forced. I watched it for the second time, and it’s obvious he stared at her and smiled a lot. Also he was able to be himself and be vulnerable with her, while with Soo-Ah, he always said he’s okay with whatever she does.
I cried as I felt her pain and know too well how this feels! I’m happy she continued to love him and fully devote herself to him despite his rejection time and time again. That’s real unconditional love. He grew to learn and love her as he never knew a love like this and was able to see how she loved in the good and bad times. 😔❤️😭😭
What a show I'd need something equally Mind-blowing to fully get over it. Love shows and stories and characters that make me introspect and reflect on myself.
In her case I really don't call it UNREQUITED because sae yori knows her feelings and she never fails to show and remind him she how much she loves him. It was more like a one-sided love where the chance of sae yori to love her back was slim and almost impossible but she remains in love and choose to fight until she wins her over. So over all it wasn't unrequited it was one sided.
Kim feel singing in the back ground feels like smooth 🧈, im just watching this drama now and when he rejected her after she admitted to him she loved him it felt like he was lying. I can't wait to get to the final episode,i thought this drama was boring but my mother was right its actually pretty good.
IC is hands down my favorite drama!! Absolutely phenomenal writing and acting, especially from Park Seo Jun and Kim Da-Mi. Saeroyi and Yi-seo were always endgame - and there is so much evidence of that throughout the show. Tbh I don’t see how anyone could ship Saeroyi and Soo-ah. The intensity of who Saeroyi was demanded a love and dedication as intense and relentless as what Yi-Seo showed him. They are perfectly matched, and it would have been a sad travesty had he ended up settling for a “love” as lukewarm and fickle as what Soo-ah offered. It would have been an injustice.
I feel that it’s good Saeroyi didn’t encourage her feelings and tried to reject them. She was 18 and he was a decade older then her. If anything went wrong everyone would blame him. I’m 21 and even I don’t want to be with someone who is younger then 19. I feel like I would be exploiting them. Age is not just a number. People can get abused if they meet someone bad.

Realistically I feel a girl deserves to be chased and I wouldn't want to be loved on the guy's terms. Also, I feel it is always good to accept a better guy that comes along. That makes it equal. It is a drama but I feel realistically it would'nt have ended that way.

Many says that it's a forced love for Saeroyi, but I don't think that... I think, he's just afraid to romanticize his feelings when he's not yet finished to achieve his goal. For me, I love the ending🥰 Yiseo was there to support him wholeheartedly.
Had it really been a ' forced' or 'gratitude' love,then Saeroyi wouldn't have thought of Yiseo and his regret of rejecting her feelings the day she confessed her love moments before he almost died of the car accident.In an extremely vulnerable moments like that,you can't lie to yourself anymore so Saeroyi thinking of her at the time,not specifying Yi Seo as his friend to his dad(while he's in coma) while saying Soo Ah and others as his friend,and Yi Seo being the person he remembers just before he backed down from the afterlife bridge is strong proof of his love towards Yi Seo.And it also confirm what some people have been saying abt Saeroyi not being able to recognize what romantic love really is which is why he's confused abt all of the feelings Yi Seo incited inside him but once he made up his mind,he's devoted to her
I mean it’s what happen in the real world. The one that get the person is the one that always there no matter what. Love will build as time goes by

@@inefebriani7758 I know that but some people have been convinced that the scene of him of realizing his feelings towards Yi Seo after seeing her drawing of him was just out of guilt and Yi Seo's manipulation(their words not mine) of him.I just wanted to point out the fact that the way the writer made Saeroyi constantly think of Yi Seo all throughout his time in the purgatory is another way to establish that Yi Seo has a place that nobody, not even Soo Ah, can ever compete with in his heart

@@christielimable It was frustrating, because I really enjoyed the Vagabond series up to that point. Lots of great action scenes, plot twists, schemes and villans.
But the love interest tease, without a payoff for me, was such a downer, it left an overall bad memory of the series, which sucks.
If you are looking for entertaining, but not worrying about a love story. I recommend "The Uncanny Counter". Fun, action packed series, a tiny touch of romance, but not the focus of the story.

Itaewon Class was beautifully done. I just loved how it ended. The story, the characters, the diversity, the revenge, the acceptance, the forgiveness, the success and the love. I’m so glad Saeroyi succeeded, it was inspiring. I’m also glad he chose Yi-seo over Soo ah. Yi-seo deserved Saeroyi’s love more. This is my favourite kdrama and it really resonates with me. I never knew I could love a show so much where it has me thinking about it a lot. I hope I’m able to find unconditional love one day. I really learned a lot from Saeroyi. Being honest with yourself is very important. This show is going to take me a while to get over it.
When Saeroyi said love isn't give and take I realized that Yiseo knew that there was no assurance that he would love her back but still stood by him. Then when she confessed and said age was just an excuse you could tell that she was willing to do everything for him if it meant being able to be by his side.
Great edit the way she persevered and stayed and supported him throughout was admirable and in the end he realised that he cannot live without her such a great storyline

I felt so depressed after she got rejected.. so glad with the ending..the drama would have made me feel horrible if he had ended up with Soo-ah

Itaewon class is such a great show , i had lots of happy , sad , touching , encouraging moments . The narrative is so clear as well as the true acting we are pleased to watch one of the precious things in this drama is this relationship, do you realise that yi seo and seuroyi have fallen in love with each other hearts and admirable valeu in life ? Not by looks or anything superficial , it took time but yiseo continued to wait , he loves her for whom she really is and that is love besides they have the best chemistry!!!
Also " how does that taste? " will ever be remembered.
The moment she started sobbing seeing his scars from past and Saeroyi shared his story I lost it all 😭❤ if that's not emotional intimacy I don't know what else is !

I love your edit and the song is so fitting! I was searching for a video with all the hurts she must have felt! She never gave up and continued to love all through the hurts and that's why i love her charachter and i loved how she grew up as a person. You know, out of all the FMV I watched (and believe when I say I watched A LOT, I'm still THAT obsessed) this hurt me the most. The song choice is everything! Just finished it. I cried feeling their pain and cried feeling their happiness. This is one of my all time favorites.
What burned me was the girl he was SUPPOSED to like wanted him to make all these sacrifices for her, but wouldn't lift a finger to support him. YS bet her life on him and supported him for years.

A man of action, and not just words. Loved it when he told her mom he would take care of her, then he told her, "you know I'm not just talk". A power couple. A man like Park Saeroyi, that's a MAN and his dad raised him well! Yi Seo is the main lead. She started off the show talking to a therapist, and she and Hunni are in the main series cover with the other boys, not Soo Ah. Absolutely loved this series! 💙
I feel this was the hardest moment for her (Yi Seo), she knew he didn't like her all along but just preferred having it one sided for now. To be very honest one of the worst feeling someone can experience is to get rejected even before confessing your feelings to the person. To make this scene more sad was the OST from Hotel Del Luna, I just love this drama not because of the romance and all but this drama wasn't that much of romance. There was more to learn💖 forever one of my best kdrama of all timw😊

I think Saeroyi has never loved Soo-Ah. Yes he had a crush on her and probably liked(not love) her in high school, and they went through the same tragedy which is Mr. Park’s death. So I think it’s just trauma bonding.
Also I don’t think his romance with Yiseo is forced. I watched it for the second time, and it’s obvious he stared at her and smiled a lot. Also he was able to be himself and be vulnerable with her, while with Soo-Ah, he always said he’s okay with whatever she does.
I cried as I felt her pain and know too well how this feels! I’m happy she continued to love him and fully devote herself to him despite his rejection time and time again. That’s real unconditional love. He grew to learn and love her as he never knew a love like this and was able to see how she loved in the good and bad times. 😔❤️😭😭
What a show I'd need something equally Mind-blowing to fully get over it. Love shows and stories and characters that make me introspect and reflect on myself.

In her case I really don't call it UNREQUITED because sae yori knows her feelings and she never fails to show and remind him she how much she loves him. It was more like a one-sided love where the chance of sae yori to love her back was slim and almost impossible but she remains in love and choose to fight until she wins her over. So over all it wasn't unrequited it was one sided.

Kim feel singing in the back ground feels like smooth 🧈, im just watching this drama now and when he rejected her after she admitted to him she loved him it felt like he was lying. I can't wait to get to the final episode,i thought this drama was boring but my mother was right its actually pretty good.

IC is hands down my favorite drama!! Absolutely phenomenal writing and acting, especially from Park Seo Jun and Kim Da-Mi. Saeroyi and Yi-seo were always endgame - and there is so much evidence of that throughout the show. Tbh I don’t see how anyone could ship Saeroyi and Soo-ah. The intensity of who Saeroyi was demanded a love and dedication as intense and relentless as what Yi-Seo showed him. They are perfectly matched, and it would have been a sad travesty had he ended up settling for a “love” as lukewarm and fickle as what Soo-ah offered. It would have been an injustice.

I feel that it’s good Saeroyi didn’t encourage her feelings and tried to reject them. She was 18 and he was a decade older then her. If anything went wrong everyone would blame him. I’m 21 and even I don’t want to be with someone who is younger then 19. I feel like I would be exploiting them. Age is not just a number. People can get abused if they meet someone bad.
She was 20....what you said is right though. It's a good thing he took time. It also showed us how strong and unchangeable her feelings were,not just some meaningless obsession like some people say.
