Halton County Radial Railway and the Connecticut Trolly Museum move 1917 GE CN Box Motor 6714

  • Halton County Radial Railway and the Connecticut Trolly museum came to an agreement that CN Box Motor 6714 be moved from Connecticut to Ontario.
    Being that this was the only Box Motor built in Toronto with Canadian General Electric parts from Peterborough for the Mount Royal Tunnel line in Montreal in 1917. This Box motors ran in continued service from 1917 to 1995 everyday. It’s quite significant of a heavy electric Box Motor that ran on a Canadian Line and fits the mandate for HCRR. HCRR plans to restore the unit to operating condition
