Epic Smallmouth Bass Fishing on Arizona’s Black River

- On this trek we traveled on the San Carlos Reservation to fly fish the Black River to target some big small mouth bass! We spent one night and two days on the Black River catching over 50 fish during a span of 2 days fishing! We caught a variety of species from small mouth bass to round tail chub to even a small brown trout! With multiple fish breaking the 15 inch mark, most of the fish ranged from 8-10 inches! It was a blast catching these small mouth bass and was worth the drive out there! Make sure if you fish the reservation that you get your permits! What a blast! I really enjoyed this video. I haven''t been on that stretch of the Black River for years. It sure makes me want to visit again! I used to see a lot of bears and rattlesnakes down in there years ago. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you I appreciate that! Surprisingly we didn’t see any bears that trip. There was a bear hunt going on so maybe that had the bears spread out!

I asked a buddy he got permit to camp the same place he got his license to fish up there
