      No I disagree, this is a closeted white culture, that has so much conservatism it must be unbearable.

    IT is so sad to watch the world today compared to this era and wonderful superstars and movies! Poor Jean, only 26 when she died and Robert just 59❤️❤️

    Jean was bloated from failing kidneys, it is amazing she made it through this and started another film, she was dying in front of the camera.

    They were both the same age, born 1911; she was beautiful and he was irresistibly handsome....both died young.

      "blueseaev," And if "Personal Property" had been filmed only a few years earlier in the more natural 'pre-code era' Jean's charms would have been unhindered by a bra.

    Truly,
    She was adorable...!
    I didn't live at the time. But, we see photos of your daily life and studio photos. She was happy, friendly and adorable. Without living together, I felt it. Rest in peace, Jean Harlow. I love you forever !!!
    P.S.
    Her last weeks, the last photos, she is very swollen. Even near the end, smiling ... She Was a Kind and the Gentle Friend!!! 😞🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻😞

    Sadly their one and only movie they did together. SO very tragic that Jean died so young. She was just coming into her own.

    • @scvandy3129
      @scvandy3129 9 дней назад

      "HollyCranfan," " . . . just coming into her own." NOT.
      Harlow had been in front of the camera for nearly a decade and a STAR for half a dozen years beginning with "Hell Angels" (1930), "The Public Enemy" ('31) and continuing into 1932's duo "Red Headed Woman" and "Red Dust" then holding her own amidst MGM's top stars in "Dinner at Eight" and "Libeled Lady" both 1933. She'd far surpassed the 'coming into her own' point in her career by then.

    What a beauty and an incredibly talented and charismatic woman! She was taken from her family and her fans far too soon. Does anyone else notice her endearing habit of saying "uh" quite a lot. lol BTW that was not an insult of course just an observation. Just one of the many little things that I love about her.

    I think men and women's fashion in the 30's was amazing. The suits men wore look so much better than anything in the last 50 years. Fashion today is non-existent.

    I never thought she was a great beauty, but she acts well and has stage presence and tons of glamour. Glamour is something we need to bring back.

    I saw this film on TV and was amazed that in one scene Jean coughed. That's how sick she was. They didn't reshoot the scene without the cough, I suppose, because it was clear she wasn't getting better, and to just get the film done and let her go to bed.
