I like the Trax but I also have eyes for the Ford Escape which has more cargo room. Wondering if I can put my mountain bike in the Trax, I know it will fit in the Escape without even taking the front wheel off. Hard to find the true dimensions. They usually just list the volumes for cargo areas.
The Trax is fairly small however I believe with the seats folded down you could get your bike in the back without taking the wheel off. The Escape is more in line with the Equinox.
Currently I drive an 08 Cobalt. I bought it used of course back in 2012. Since it’s 12 years old now and having some problems, I might be looking into getting a Chevy Trax. It looks like a very nice car

I have a 2019 Trax LT - just picked it up five months ago. Nice little crossover thought I do wish it was AWD. Now once this is paid off I fully expect GM to produce a pure electric version. And the engine is an I4-LUV.
That's one of the biggest problem with GM. The way they trim their vehicles. My 2013 Escape ( Mid trim SE ) HAS those fog lights. My 2013 VW Jetta Comfortline ( Mid trim ) HAS fog lights. WHAT THE FUCK GM????

For all viewers that own this vehicle. You must change the oil often in this engine. Do not go extended milage between oil changes or you will pay the price. And repairs can be hefty. Small oil lines will become clogged and ruin the turbo. Sludge is a major problem with this engine. Turbo engines need a lot of air so change the air filter regularly. When you reach your destination. do not immediately shut off the engine, let it idle in park for a minute or two to cool down the turbo. Please do not brush this off. I am trying to help you avoid expensive repair bills. Many have voted the 1.4 liter turbo engine in this vehicle as the worst engine GM has ever produced, so you will have to do your part to make it live.
I was going to get the trax but decided on getting a Subaru outback. Love the way the trax looks but most of them are 2 wheel drive and not as much safety features as my outback.
My company is switching our fleet cars from Ford Focus over to these. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. Some more cargo space would be nice. Any idea if push button start is standard now?
Push button is still optional on LT cars but standard on Premier. Comes with the most popular (convenience?) package on LT so most have it anymore. Hopefully they buy fleet cars with the push button option because it is nice to have.
Do you mean like auto-down? Because I'm looking into an LT and it has auto up and down on front and back windows but that has the convince package in it not sure if that makes a difference.

@@toyoscio nowadays these new cars are so light weight. The rear doors don't weigh a thing plus front and back bumpers are all made of plastic. Back then cars were tanks and with big blocks and less horsepower. Well there are ones with good horsepower as well. Nowadays engines are small, more fuel efficient as well with pretty good horsepower.
I have the 2015 and I hate it. Not enough space and it rides like a bucket of bolts. Any time you hit a bump, it's BRUTAL. The engine is way too small so it doesn't provide enough power. Interior is cheap and plastic. The 2015 is nice looking on the outside, has a "cutesy" face. It's annoying the door panel buttons don't light up at night. The gear shift button sticks underneath the plastic wrapped around it, so I have to rip my fingernails off every time I reverse/drive/park to get it out. But it doesn't even lock into place, so if you accidentally hit it, it will shift. After Jiffy Lube changed the oil once, my AC won't work on level 4. Idk if that was them or whatever. I'm nervous about picking up Ikea furniture next week because idk if it will fit. I'm going out to measure right now. This thing is a waste of money. I'm buying a Toyota Rav4 next time. Not hate on your video, you give a good review. But I thought I'd add my personal experience. I'd never recommend this vehicle.
@@thatslyra Thats touch because I do not have experience with the Toyota. I would look at both and spend time with them as how you would normally use it. I can tell you the Toyota will have more features available. The 2021 Trailblazer coming soon will be the one to get if you can wait a little longer.
My fathers friend was going 45 and a drunk 19 year old was going 98 mph and rear ended them. The 2 occupants of the 2016 chevy trax we're pulverized and died on the scene.
Had one as a remtal and hated it. The winter performance is abysmal. Felt very unsafe. This vehicle is too tall and the center of gravity is too high for its weight. Lots of body roll. All interior buttons, steering wheel controls and materials feel ultra cheap which is not surprising on a chevy but I kinda forgot how cheap that brand felt. So overall, it's a no. Go to a hyundai venue or asian equivalent instead. The venue is almost 4k cheaper with longer warranty and overall better performance.
@@JustinKelly it's not much of a difference between both (except for wheelbase) but the venue is taller so it should be more comfortable for big persons. As with every car, you should test drive it before buying it.
@@RafaelPernia Huge differences in chassis, engine, transmission, and features between the Venue and Kona. The Venue rides on the same platform as the Accent sedan and the Kona rides on the slightly larger platform like the Elantra GT.

This car is not worth over 18k for a new one this car is so simple. I wouldn’t pay over 13k for this and it’s missing a middle console storage that’s a big no no for me and no air vents for the back seats or usb charge ports.
This is 4th car i have purchased.. n its the worst car i have ever bought.. i don't know why its so heavy to drive.. n steering is so tight.. its a junk.. n engine makes so much noise..
I was approved to finance a 2013 back in February if this year and I love it. Simple and gets me from point A to B with no problem.

@@toyoscio The Ford ecosport has a 1L engine. But Europeans always managed to get small engines deliver relatively good performance.
runs better with K&N Air Filer, Oil Filter etc. for extra horsepower and way better gas mileage.🙂

Yes. Backup cameras are federally mandated for all cars after the 2018 model year.
