This came out really pretty!!! The paper choice is perfect for a bridal or baby shower. Even a birthday. Only thing I'd do different is cover or paint the inside, and put the paper on the bottom after the ribbon to cover and loose ends. The way you taped it, I can definitely see this box holding up long enough to become a keepsake box long after the event! Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you Miss Lady. I was looking for an idea for my aunt's 80th bday part and didn't want to do the 3-tier cake card box and I think this is it. So thank you for sharing your idea and the process with the measurements.

your last measurement is 8.8" for sides if lid box but then your 1st measurement (bottom of box) is written as 8.5"...so my question, is the 8.8" in measurement of 16th?? and the 8.5" measurement equivalent to 8 1/2 inches?? cause both are the same measurement if your decimal is in 16th form
