I consider myself pretty darned lucky to have lived to see THREE such amazing female athletes during my lifetime -- Katie Ledecky, Simone Biles and Serena Williams. Amazing, amazing athletes!!!
serena isnt that amazing. margaret court has more grand slams and 12 less years of competition.
and the respective males in each sport are still better 😝 no one beats phelps
@@youtubeuser206 I am not going to belittle other athletes' accomplishments. That wasn't my intent. You apparently can't handle anyone complimenting someone you don't like without slapping someone's hand for it. Childish.
@@tacksscherbo7771 don’t bother, as*holes will be always as*holes and childish, they need to spoil other people’s opinion with their stupidity, they can’t help it!
Biles was fragile
i can't be the only one looking back on these races in 2024. can't wait for what Paris has in store!!
I do this every time the summer games are coming up. Ever since London. My gosh, what an Olympic games that was. Ledecky's first swim in Olympics. Phelps, Lochte, Missy Franklin, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney's perfect vault. Epke Zonderland's epic high bar routine. London was so special and fun.
And she did it again
she won gold!!
Erica Sullivan was spectacular in this race - she swam a very strategic race to win the silver medal and help the US go 1-2 here. Love it!!
I think she said she had a toe cramp for the first 200. Very impressive swim
Crazy how Sullivan was far back in the beginning
This race is historic because it’s the first 1500m freestyle in Olympic history !!!! I’m surprised it just now is surfacing online
No it’s not there was one in 2012 I think
@@jackp-w38862:51
@@jackp-w3886 first 1500 for the women. Tokyo also had the first 800 for the men. Before they would only do men 1500 at olympics and women 800 at olympics. Now they do both 800 and 1500 for both men and women at every olympics.
At 5.00 it's over. Ledecky is just warming up and the others seem to sense it. It must be hard to be swimming a olympic record pace and watch Ledecky just keep pulling away .
I literally cant be the only one watching back these swimming races in 2022.They amaze me.Its really cool to watch over it!
No, you're not the only one
@@jennycicek9645 I’m watching and enjoying just as much in 2022!
U aren't the only one
I'm watching em in 2023 lol
Watching in 2023. I’ve watched this at least 20 times. 😂
I can’t wait to see Simone biles and Katie Ledecky at the 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris France 🇫🇷
The fact that in world championships she dropp 5 seconds and she did the 6 best performances of all time is crazy changing her coach was the best decision ever
I like that once Ledecky reached the finish line she immediately looked into Sulivan lane!! 🤩😍😍🥰🥰
1 year later how Olympics end...cool, time management on very high level)))
Lmao so true
I can’t wait to see the 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris France 🇫🇷
I'm waiting on 2028 in LA!!!!!🇺🇲❤😎
Katie Ledecky is my favourite American athlete.
Battle for second was intriguing - first Wang, then Quadarella, then Kohler and finally Sullivan
I can’t wait to see Simone biles and sunini lee and Katie Ledecky at the 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris France
Thanks for including the medal ceremony. Most videos don't have that
Congrats to all three women! They were all so excited and I am so happy to see this!🥇🥈🥉
Great to see a one and two finish for the USA. I also liked seeing Erica Sullivan and Jay Litherland win medals in Japan since they are of Japanese heritage as well. Great job to all!!!!!
Katie ledecky is my favorite swimmer
FINALLY THANK YOU! p.s. go katie!
Finally! the whole game is uploaded here!
Thank uuuu
I hope all event in swimming can uploading after this♥️♥️♥️
“She doesn’t want those images echoing around the world”
The Thumbnail: one of those images echoing around RUclips
1500 is actually Ledecky ' s best distance where she races against the clock.
The masks of the US simmers look like mask of hannibal lecter...
congratulations Katie.
It gives a sense that this olympics is four years long.
my pronouns are she, because i’ll never be her
has anyone notice that kohler celebrating? Absolutely amazing!!
It's the best competition, very emotive, please share the competition of 100 m breastroke female Tokyo 2020
Ledecky also returned from the moon... Awesome!!! 😚😘
That air horn was so annoying.
Excellent
I love Katie Ledecky and her new teammate Erica Sullivan of the United States of America.
7 humans vs 1 fish
I didn’t even know her name was Kathleen until today
I don’t understand why they muted the national anthem?! 🤨 it’s not copyrighted, it’s public domain, isn’t it?!
i literally can't imagine swimming that many laps HAHAHHA
Her 50 meters moderate swim only takes 29 seconds, while my 50 meters sprint takes 40 seconds😩
Please post more full days!!
i'm 12 and i've learned how to swim 2 years ago, I can hardly swim a 200m and then there's people out there swimming 1500m 😭
I’ve experienced that one thing i learned was to never give up ❤❤
Sullivan it was amazing
FINALLY
Amazing. Such an inspiration. 🎉
Was expecting the video on Thursday. Werent you folks posting tokyo replay on Thursday?
Спорт, это то лучшее, что придумало человечество 😊😊😊
The constant bell or horn in background is incredibly annoying
Everyone 🎉🎉🎉
Announcer talking rubbish because they ran out of words 😂😂😂
Sullivan it was amazing
Kate Ledecky lo có đối thủ
Yea for you, yea for you honey.
Thank you Katie
What is the number they show each time swimmers turn?
How many seconds the other swimmers are behide
1:16 tooth breaking pause before spelling the surname 🤣🤣🤣
In the end, the whole kipezh began because of the American troops in Ukraine
Wang's technique is one the best.
incredibly exciting ?!
I would literally drown omg 1500 LOL
18:55 Both Sullivan and Kohler did butterfly kick when they get to the finish. Is it legal or something I don't know?
freestyle means you can swim however you want
Would not say that’s a full butterfly kick. More like they glided in and it just happened to be like that. Would be harsh to disqualify them for something as minor as that…
It would not be harsh because it’s minor, it would be harsh because it wasn’t any kind of infraction. No rule was broken.
@@Ineddiblehulk I mean, it's a common way for swimmers to finish. I do it all the time and I've never gotten DQ'd.
@@novpato39 like I said, you can’t get dq’d for it because it’s not breaking a rule.
