As any pick up would have occurred months ago I have re-purposed my distress beacon to pick up comms frequencies from your science divisions and the GNN. And here is what they have to say in regard to particle lances. **Warning advice contains some spoilers regarding the tech tree and mod** If you research the Particle Lance, You will unlock the Particle lance and Giga Cannon tech trees, as well as ships that can use the X size slot, for this mod, you will unlock the Conqueror Class SD, and, if enabled in the mod settings, one of the research branches you need for a death star. Also shack keep an eye on your SD's and Venators, because after a certain tech (not sure what it is myself) you unlock the octane weapons battery for the ship, so the 3rd weapons slot would then be able to equip 8L instead of your current 4L, and the Conqueror will go from being able to have 1 X size weapon to 2 X size weapons.
Your Imperialness, I must report that you've forgotten to upgrade the fleets propulsion systems. We have the technology, let us make it impossible for our foes to outrun our superior might! Edit: In addition, the proposed Particle Lance Project would have the particle weapons outfitted on Conquer- and Venator-Class Vessels.

I use the same mods you use, and I am a bit further than you right now (about 30k fleet power). When I pull my fleet out of orbit my monthly energy credits go from +50 to -200. So Im afraid on the long run positive energy at war times wont be possible. I am forced to stock up on energy for a few years between wars.
The virtual combat arena you were talking about at about 43 minutes in is called The Void. Its an arena in the U.S. They have a traveling version as well, but their main center has a few themed options and looks pretty awesome.
@ TheXPGamers Armor will be better then shields until you get your big ships to 90% armor rating but you should only do it on your battleships and dreadnoughts maybe your cruisers once you get neutronium armor. You should really focus on upgrading you sensor techs in the physics tree as that will unlock the neutronium, lythuric gas, and dark matter strategic resources. Unlocking neutronium will give you access to the tier 5 armor and if you have the resource in your territory it will buff your ship armor by 15%. Dark Matter is a 15% research buff and lythuric gas is a 15% sheild hp buff. You may also gain access to Zro which gives you a massive buff to your FTL travel speed and Sensor range. Going for Hyper shields would be fine just expect to need more power on your ships. Warp drive 3 is something you neither need nor want as it has a high chance of causing the unbidden to spawn and wrecking your game. Highly suggest getting your sensor tech upgraded to max as it will help with hitting targets and unlock all those strategic resources as stated earlier.

Shack, use afterburners on corvettes and your small fast ships, DO NOT use them on large ships, it doesn't do them any good compared shield capacitors. It comes down to the evasion of the ship that afterburners are useful.
Also, if your empire and the Jusskan were to fight, jusskan may end up overpowering your fleet. Your fleet power is tied up in a couple heavy hitters, take out a few battleships and your power drops heavily. The jusskan outnumber your largest fleet 4 to 1, with fleet power being about equal or more in your favor. In terms of armies, they outnumber you in raw manpower by about half. Nothing stops them from sending a large force to occupy your fleets while their armies run rampant. You sit on a stockpile of 200 per month, throw down for more smaller ships with faster tracking to hit their corvettes. Small weapons=faster targeting. Destroyers and corvettes are a good counter to them. Also make the fleet more diverse in weaponry.
Jordan Miles the 501st was only all clone, because ALL the clone battalions were. Once the Empire came, the clones were slowly fully replaced with storm troopers in all battalions, by around 4 years after the clone wars, the Empire had pretty much stopped using clone soldiers.
The Venator and the conqueror models can both support the particle Lance so I'd suggest going for that first for the damage and then going for the shields

btw shack not sure if you noticed but you can upgrade the Hushko fleet to bring them up to specs, you should also make sure to do a tech trade with all your subject races, bring them up to your tech level to speed them along on to the path to integration while making sure they can actually produce fleets worth deploying
I noticed on the shipbuilder option, there is a Check Box above the options on the Left Side that Auto populates the Options for the Module for weapons or power options you wish to select for your ships. It helps so you dont see ALL the items you may not care to worry about.
An extremely good idea, after the war with the Nuurians is to start looking at some of the "Northern" empires and deciding how you want to interact with them, a good idea would be to vassalize or become a protectorate of the smaller territories and bide your time with them, and the in one fell swoop integrate them into the Empire, then you'll have more territory and resources to decimate the Republic and the Holy Mandate.
Shack, when you research an XL sized weapon, you gain access to those slots. One of them in on the Conqueror class Battleship. Plus, with the range advantage you'll have, it's well worth it.

how about he does the war-hammer empire, and taking advantage of the next update and dlc of stellaris he gets this weird trait thing they've put in that your empire is basically ultraxenofobic and declares war to everyone. And its balanced out, i think, because you get bonuses to combat and stuff.
You will get a special front for your ISDs that can hold Particle Lances. I gave this ship a name of ISDX during my play through on this mod. This is from the Stellaris and it works with this mod quite well :)
The Partial Accelerated cannons are tier 10 or X rated weapons the shot beams of particles the size of atoms at light speed. Like the weapons the protheans from mass effect used.
Unless you have regenerative hull tissue then armor is ishy but then again you want stronger shields because if I'm correct shields are weaker by a significant amount compared to armor

best way to get some territory it to humiliate your opponent when fighting wars, although it cost 10 warscore also, do increased naval capacity research. it's cheap and helpful.

Your going to need like 220 engineering after you beet the dreadnaught if you want to take control of it plus you need warp drive 3 to merge it with your fleet
My Thoughts. Make sure to use the first first task force fleet you gain control of every few cycles because you keep forgetting about them. use them to reinforce the husko territory during the war. I would focus on warp drives for the future long distance engagements so you could possibly outrun the enemy if you need to or get to places faster with the first fleet. Another thing you've gotta do shack is start rebuilding your ground forces!!!! You're running out of troopers to send into the fray during times of crysis and war. Also don't forget to keep the Elegon system under control. I wouldn't free them just yet because they want to obliterate everyone but you, so keep them under lock and key until you go to war with the republic, then unleash armies of Elegon against the republic. Also make sure you keep upgrading other weapons like the plasma thrower... maybe that might be blocking other tech's like better torpedoes, etc.
Just so you know, the colonization screen allows you to see colony ships you already have built and choose from what planet you build new ships from. What you did in this episode was sending 1 colony ship first to one planet, then sending it to another, and then sending it to a last third. So you only colonized one planet this episode. :P
Shack, you should be more aggressive in your military strategy. Palpatine was building up the Empire in preparation for the yuuzhan vong invasion, you should prepare for a similar invasion!
Particle Lance's! Also for the War demands think you only had the Ikaanan's but left out the Nuurians. To speed up research try more research agreements with friendly empires. Also if really want to build up influence then free the slaves and stop their faction suppression. For happiness can also build monuments to purity to replace unneeded farms.
Just to let you know Shack. If you play Star Ruler 2, which is an awesome 4x game btw, it has a race that lives only in space stations. It is a really cool race and you should try it on the channel.
Both the Venator and Conqueror can have the x weapons the conqueror has its own unique one and with the new update we can now build Secutors. All empire ships have star wars weapons.
Get the Particle Lance. Once you get a weapon that uses the "X" slot, then ship sections that allow for that should show up. Sort of like how you can't see the hangar version of the CR-90 until you unlock something to put in them.
The particle lance will open up a new weapon slot for your ships. The XL slot or just X. It's known as a fixed weapon slot on the front of most battleships that do a butt load of damage. Do it, think of the particle lance as a mini Death Star laser for battleships.

Armour or shields... I keep forgetting which defends best against what. But if Empire at War is any indication, the empire has a thing for transferring shield energy to weapons, so maybe lots of shields is the default.
i think the particle lance will be used on the ssd, haven't tested it on my game yet, though i was researching it when i got smacked down in a war in my most recent game, so i'm stuck at the beginning again, so give it a quick month and you'll know for sure, not sure of the predators, i mean its another quick war just for longer wait, and who knows what your allies will think, so i have no idea sorry captain

It takes place in the Star Trek enterprise era so the creation of the federation. Also ships don't have small slots to extra large slots it instead has tactical, engineering and I think science slots but don't hold me on that last one.
You get more influence for proximity and power, in rivalries. Then protectorate small empires and thats a boost as well. Then there is the influence research path as you know.
I would actually love to see either a mass effect or a halo or even a Warhammer season but it would be awesome to see someone do a homeworld play through!

Warp drive doesn't have any effect on triggering the Unbidden. They are triggered solely by Jump Drive tech, and only if it's actually used in a ship.

Another thing you've gotta do shack is start rebuilding your ground forces!!!! You're running out of troopers to send into the fray during times of crysis and war. Also don't forget to keep the Elegon system under control. I wouldn't free them just yet because they want to obliterate everyone but you, so keep them under lock and key until you go to war with the republic, then unleash armies of Elegon against the republic. Also make sure you keep upgrading other weapons like the plasma thrower... maybe that might be blocking other tech's like better torpedoes, etc.

Just so you know, the colonization screen allows you to see colony ships you already have built and choose from what planet you build new ships from.
What you did in this episode was sending 1 colony ship first to one planet, then sending it to another, and then sending it to a last third. So you only colonized one planet this episode. :P
Shack, you should be more aggressive in your military strategy. Palpatine was building up the Empire in preparation for the yuuzhan vong invasion, you should prepare for a similar invasion!
Particle Lance's! Also for the War demands think you only had the Ikaanan's but left out the Nuurians. To speed up research try more research agreements with friendly empires. Also if really want to build up influence then free the slaves and stop their faction suppression. For happiness can also build monuments to purity to replace unneeded farms.
Just to let you know Shack. If you play Star Ruler 2, which is an awesome 4x game btw, it has a race that lives only in space stations. It is a really cool race and you should try it on the channel.
Both the Venator and Conqueror can have the x weapons the conqueror has its own unique one and with the new update we can now build Secutors. All empire ships have star wars weapons.
Get the Particle Lance. Once you get a weapon that uses the "X" slot, then ship sections that allow for that should show up. Sort of like how you can't see the hangar version of the CR-90 until you unlock something to put in them.
Shack, the farther an empire is from your borders, the less influence a rivalry will give you.
The particle lance will open up a new weapon slot for your ships. The XL slot or just X. It's known as a fixed weapon slot on the front of most battleships that do a butt load of damage. Do it, think of the particle lance as a mini Death Star laser for battleships.

Armour or shields... I keep forgetting which defends best against what. But if Empire at War is any indication, the empire has a thing for transferring shield energy to weapons, so maybe lots of shields is the default.
i think the particle lance will be used on the ssd, haven't tested it on my game yet, though i was researching it when i got smacked down in a war in my most recent game, so i'm stuck at the beginning again, so give it a quick month and you'll know for sure, not sure of the predators, i mean its another quick war just for longer wait, and who knows what your allies will think, so i have no idea sorry captain
that automated Dreadnaught is no joke. I went at one with a 30k fleet and lost around half of it.
Checking if you have special weapons modules available, and designing a special Lancer class ship would be an awesome addition to the imperial fleet!

The solarairians might not have surrendered if they had high war enthusiasm, or a powerful Ally, It has happened to me in many paradox strategy games.
hey shack just a FYI the more power produced by your ships the more damage you laser weapons will output i have noticed this in my own play troughs.

Also for the next play through if you want it straight up mod driven look into the Star Trek new horizons mod. It takes place in the Star Trek enterprise era so the creation of the federation.
Also ships don't have small slots to extra large slots it instead has tactical, engineering and I think science slots but don't hold me on that last one.
You get more influence for proximity and power, in rivalries. Then protectorate small empires and thats a boost as well. Then there is the influence research path as you know.
When I see and hear the Star fish people, I immediately think of the Furlings from Stargate "200"
Get the Particle Lance! You get the ship part with the slot when you get it!
Swap your scientist to match the research type. The dreadnought is void craft. It will finish quicker
I would actually love to see either a mass effect or a halo or even a Warhammer season but it would be awesome to see someone do a homeworld play through!
