- In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of running Node.js in Visual Studio Code (VSCode). Node.js is an open-source JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine that allows you to build scalable, server-side applications using JavaScript.
If you're new to Node.js or Visual Studio Code, don't worry. We'll provide step-by-step instructions on how to set up Node.js in VSCode, create and run a basic Node.js application, and debug your Node.js code.
We'll also cover some fundamental concepts related to Node.js, such as installing packages using npm (Node Package Manager), working with modules, and handling errors. By the end of this tutorial, you'll have a solid understanding of how to use Node.js in Visual Studio Code and be able to build and run your own Node.js applications.

This video was very helpful. Thanks so much.
Does it normally take a LOT of time to complete the installation of necessary tools (from 3:00)?
Because I was doing it and it was saying it was “installing” something but it took some time so I just pressed the cross button at the top right, and since I didn’t get any notification saying “it will stop the installation” I thought it was okay?
But now after watching some videos, they showed that at the finish, you actually had to type “enter” to end the installation process which I didn’t get.
Am I doomed?
Got confused at a point but back on track
This is the best tutorial 👍
