Why is everyone pressed about BTS?! What if someone came here to study because they got motivated by BTS?! What matters is the person wanting to learn the language for what ever reason it is. Learning it for BTS doesn't mean it's useless. The message BTS spread can teach you more than you can even do with what you learnt 🙃

im not sure if most people here will understand this considering the comments, but learning a language for a reason other than the one you may have is not a bad thing. personally, im learning because i like the korean alphabet a lot, but that doesn’t mean that people who are motivated to learn by bts are invalid. if bts is spreading their language and culture to people, then i think that’s amazing and im sure most koreans do as well. it doesn’t make you look better than korean learners who are learning for kpop if you say that you’re not. the privilege in learning comes from whether you enjoy it and whether you actually learn. if a kpop stan wants to gain knowledge through something that they enjoy doing, then they should do so without having to worry about pressed people who, for no apparent reason, think they’re superior.
I really love how people are using this for English and not just Korean 😊 Really hope this helps for Korean people as well and hope they learn some new phrases❤❤

But over time I have developed other reasons, like the feeling I get after a long study time when my brain is tired but I KNOW I LEARNED SOMETHING. Or when every day it gets easier and easier to read Korean. It is something I am thoroughly enjoying. Update: I wanna come back to this one day and feel nostalgic!

If a word confuses me I flip to the next page and spend 15 minutes researching that word and create a page for that word. For example: Goodbye. I thought Annyeong was the only way to say goodbye and when I say 잘가요 I did some research and it really helped! After that I go back and research every word and mark them as formal, polite, or casual
