Great video, the HST you said was powered by the EMT power cars was actually an EMT train purchased from EMT, their trains have 8 carriages, virgin trains have 9 carriages, the power cars on the EMT HST hadn't been painted into virgin livery, they still haven't been painted
225s also only have on part driving them! Need a fully clear path out of Leeds or they will stall on the hill and have to go back down and restart their climb..
Fabulous video absolutely enjoyable with an awesome selection of trains and some cracking tones from the drivers. I particularly enjoyed all the HSTs and 91s. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
That was a SPECTACULAR film. 1 hr of ECML goodness. Awesome stuff. Could you do rush hour Bristol TM at some point! Would love to see that. Great stuff as usual mate Cheers!
Thanks very much, one of the longest films I've ever done but totally worth every minute of it :) I don't think I could do Bristol in the rush hour period as it would take to long for me to get there from where I work
Enjoyed the footage on platforms 3/4 because you got a good view of the new platform 5 being built for terminating Moorgate services. Very varied service, great video.
I will be coming back here once the new platform is completed as it will give this station a whole new prospective. I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
It's a new series I'm putting together to try and get more people interested in my channel and it seems to be working rather well, I'm not gonna hold anything against you for not watching this whole thing haha, I don't think I would be able to listen to myself for that length of time haha
This video was fantastic. It would have been a lot better if I was there. I would love to have been there for the hour filming. I would definitely have enjoyed it. None the less I have enjoyed it and hopefully soon you'll come back again and I promise I will be there.
@ 14.32 I was wondering which HST Powercar at least achieved the world speed record for diesel traction back in November 1987. Thank You Jarred for helping me to find out about that it's greatly appreciated. 43302 ex 43102
Some pretty deep history still. So it pretty turned and grew so much as a resettlement City for Veterans and those left without homes after the Raids, maybe even a Construction Hub. Quite the honorable feat, circumstances aside. I feel for the coach drivers, but at the time they became the first Inner-city Cabbies (Darker bright-side) Anyway on to the film, stretching the batteries yeah... Happy Hour is more like it! Habit all the way, I thought you might have to hold that fence at times, Ladies were fast. Seemed like a great day for it too. LNER 43's and 82's I love the look, workhorses. I also dug the 313's & 365's (hope I got it right) In truth, you make it easy for a know-nothing like me to catch on somewhat quickly. Thanks! I've seen you under pressure with such fast-paced traffic, but I have to say you handled this like it was no bother, almost machine like. I still think you deserve a proper T.V. slot (Travelling Spotter??) you have a knack for catching enough footage and being verbally savvy to carry the lull, just sayin'! Anyways brilliant film, feature length and all with "Through the Gap" @42:30 awesome work. Top Shelf! B.P.
I guess when you look at what the railways have done for this country you can comfortably say that have done so much good for communities and businesses everywhere, even if at the time it looked like they were going to overtake everything and put people out of a job. This was an incredible evening spent here and there was so much going at times it was hard to try and keep track of everything! I have often thought about approaching various TV companies and seeing if they would be interested in doing some sort of programme, Maybe one day that will happen!
I like this evening peak series you've got going, If it continues can I request you do West Horndon, Burnham, Cheddington, Watford Junction, Broxbourne and Shenfield during rush hour?, thumbs up from me Jarred, thoroughly enjoyed watching, great weather you got as well, keep up the good work
I thought I would try something new with my channel instead of just the regular trains at episodes that I'm known for, it seems to be doing rather well so far and it's something that I will probably keep as a constant thing on my channel now just to change things up every now and again. I have a rush hour film coming out tomorrow that is from Watford Junction :)
The 387's to Kings Lynn is 387109, 387113 (not 103) and 387127 make their return from London Kings Cross. So u said 103 but is 113 in the middle of this set to Kings Lynn service but I least I helped u to remember the train number return back. Thank you for reading my comment Tornado922, your the best ever. Love Arnold. 💜😊
8:12 I saw that at Potters Bar (while missing the Kings Cross 700 that arrived at Potters Bar at 17.13. Did you see that before the video by any chance?
I didn't know that great northern trains still went to Peterborough. I thought It was only Thameslink LNER Cross Country Greater Anglia and East Midlands Trains
Thanks very much, I wouldn't;t know if they hold the title for the fastest accelerating trains in the UK but I would have thought that they would have been very close
I wonder why Virgin/LNER would use a 225 set for the (rather) short run to Newark Northgate, It's only about an hour's run out of Kings Cross. Wouldn't a 365 or 387 set be more appropriate?
GN operate services to Ely, Kings Lynn and Peterborough as well as local trains from Moorgate to Welwyn Garden City and Hertford. Thameslink operate on the MML and the ECML running from Brighton into the midlands
Keiran Clarke Noooooo nowhere near fastest in the world! That honour goes to the new Maglev trains they’re building in Japan at a whopping 603km/h! The 225 sets can do 225km/h, hence the name 225 sets
Keiran Clarke they try to keep them on Leeds and Newark Trains because they can only do 110mph and they accelerate faster than the HST and I think faster than the 91 too which makes them more suitable for the services with more stops.
It was '387116', '387115' (at the middle set) and '387118' at the rear. Tornado, u don't know the middle set of the 387s don't you. And I was to helping you to know the middle set of the 387s when you don't miss out or you don't know what the number at the middle. Text back me back if you don't know the middle set of the 387s. I can help with that. 😉
The only way you would have been able to know the middle numbers of that set is to pause the video in every frame that the train went past in order to try and get those numbers
Here's a tip, stop complaining about people trainspotting on videos and grow up, people like you are a blight upon the world, if you can't accept it, then you should bugger off and never come back
55:44. Good lord!! That 43 moved meekly and the 91 just stormed brutally past. That 91 really wanted your attention, LOL!!
I love the look of the 717’s. I got a picture of it as my front screen on my IPad.
Great video, the HST you said was powered by the EMT power cars was actually an EMT train purchased from EMT, their trains have 8 carriages, virgin trains have 9 carriages, the power cars on the EMT HST hadn't been painted into virgin livery, they still haven't been painted
My apologies I meant LNER
Another fantastic video.
Keep them coming. Appreciate the time and effort you put in.
Thanks a bunch.
Thanks very much for saying so it really is greatly appreciated
This was a phenomenal video well done! :)
Thanks very much :)
Spectacular video tornado 922 love all the trains
Thanks very much I'm glad you liked this
Great video.
I loved the GWR HST as well.
The 717 looked great.
22:38 you said the 18:10 Thameslink service was going to Cambridge.
He meant the one on platform 4
@@keiranclarke2955 OK
I love this video
Instablaster.
Love your work keep it up. I love when you do the stations with many types of rolling stock and trains comings through
Thank you very much for saying so it is greatly appreciated
I see some tones from the drivers well done 👍
225s only need 1 pantograph....shows how good they are
They are very versatile and powerful locomotives
225s also only have on part driving them! Need a fully clear path out of Leeds or they will stall on the hill and have to go back down and restart their climb..
Fabulous video absolutely enjoyable with an awesome selection of trains and some cracking tones from the drivers. I particularly enjoyed all the HSTs and 91s. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, I loved coming down here it was an amazing evening
First time seeing a great Northern Class 717 Desiro city
I have to say I quite like them
I do I still prefer the 313
Super video!
Thanks very much

Enjoyed the footage on platforms 3/4 because you got a good view of the new platform 5 being built for terminating Moorgate services. Very varied service, great video.

I love your videos @tornado922 I have been a massive fan of your videos
Thanks very much for saying so it is greatly appreciated :)
That's no problem I enjoy watching them great video's you put up 👍👍
Another Brilliant Video! I Really Enjoyed it :)
Thanks very much
Very well captioned as Rush Hour Trains.
Great selection of trains on offer at Stevenage.
That GWR HST was very nice by the way.
By the way sorry I didn’t watch the whole 1:03:55. I watched about 35 minutes of this and I was interested
It's a new series I'm putting together to try and get more people interested in my channel and it seems to be working rather well, I'm not gonna hold anything against you for not watching this whole thing haha, I don't think I would be able to listen to myself for that length of time haha

FIRST AT LAST! :)
Love your videos
I believe they are actually planning a 5th platform here
They are building platform 5
A very very good film mate
thanks very much
Your almost at 6,000 Subscribers!
It's slowly getting ever closer
That HST at 5:48 was a EX-First Great Western!
No it was a hst operated by hull trains.
@@BobaShakeMallow but it used to be a First Great Westen one
Great fantastic loved it, as I do all of your films 😐
thanks very much for saying so that is greatly appreciated :)
Rip hst, anyone else miss them already?
26:40 that was a fantasic tone

These great western railway HSTS have been the last HSTS in Paddington there wear replaced by class 800s and class 801s
Great video

22:38 Actually, It goes from Cambridge, not to Cambridge. It goes to London King's Cross.
Ok :)
The 387's to Kings Lynn is 387109, 387113 (not 103) and 387127 make their return from London Kings Cross. Well thank you kindly for the information that you have passed onto me
Great video mate can you do letchworth for your next video
thanks very much, I will look into going there in the next few weeks for you
Nice video! I didn’t know it was out?
I knew It was coming out. I was going to be over there on Friday.
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
Were the 365's formerly known as "Networkers"?
I believe so
Yeah they are
Still nice to get that 313 and a couple of 365s
It is good to see the older units still getting a decent run around the network
On the rear of the Doncaster set was 91200
@Rob'sTransportPhotography he meant 91120
Thought that crow was a buzzard trying to catch a rabbit...
It was a crow
8:12 I saw that at Potters Bar (while missing the Kings Cross 700 that arrived at Potters Bar at 17.13. Did you see that before the video by any chance?
I actually cant remember
Im guessing the LNER to hull is only the HST with EMT power cars
You would be correct
Yeah and sound beautiful
43:06 The Govia brothers
I didn't know that great northern trains still went to Peterborough. I thought It was only Thameslink LNER Cross Country Greater Anglia and East Midlands Trains
Well now you know!
40:27 Why did this high speed Train stop at this station?
You should go to Retford again
I don't have any intentions of ever going back to that station. I didn't think it was very good the first time I went there
Are the 700's known for the fastest
accelerating train in the uk?
Great video by the way
Thanks very much, I wouldn't;t know if they hold the title for the fastest accelerating trains in the UK but I would have thought that they would have been very close
Uhh wait thameslink still has 8 cars?
They've always had
I wonder why Virgin/LNER would use a 225 set for the (rather) short run to Newark Northgate, It's only about an hour's run out of Kings Cross. Wouldn't a 365 or 387 set be more appropriate?
No the 365s or 387s belong to great northern. Their routes go up to kings Lynn
On the rear of the double 91’s was 91112
What's the difference between great northern and thameslink?
GN operate services to Ely, Kings Lynn and Peterborough as well as local trains from Moorgate to Welwyn Garden City and Hertford. Thameslink operate on the MML and the ECML running from Brighton into the midlands
Nice video tornado922 I love the ecml my favourite trains were the class91s and 387s which were yours?
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, if in terms of which train is my favourite on the ECML it would have to be 225 sets and the 180's
I still think that the LNER 225s are the fastest trains in the world
Keiran Clarke Noooooo nowhere near fastest in the world! That honour goes to the new Maglev trains they’re building in Japan at a whopping 603km/h! The 225 sets can do 225km/h, hence the name 225 sets
the middle of the 387 was 113
Why do 90s only do the Stevenage LNER Services
Keiran Clarke they try to keep them on Leeds and Newark Trains because they can only do 110mph and they accelerate faster than the HST and I think faster than the 91 too which makes them more suitable for the services with more stops.
Why does Matt announce on platforms 3 & 4 and Anne on platforms 1 & 2
Haven't got a clue
You should go to London Bridge
I have been looking into going there for a long time now
29:18 I think it was 82223
Right ok :)
Second to last train Wass 91120 on the rear :)
We meet again, thanks for the information about the Class 700 speed the other week.

11:09 That was from Leeds
Right ok
Do you prefer 700s or 717s
I don't really have a preference at the moment because they look the same, I would need to travel on both first to make a decision
