- MMMA is one of the pioneering maritime schools in the Philippines offering industry-linkage programs like Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE).
MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy (MMMA) aims to support the shipping industry in supplying well-trained, professional, disciplined, and competent seafarers, who will man sophisticated ships of its tri-principals - Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, Fairmont Shipping (Canada) Ltd., and Mitsui O.S.K Lines Ltd.
MMMA’s history dates back to 1991 when A. Magsaysay Inc., in partnership with Fairmont and MOL founded MIS. They invested in a non-profit foundation to build a 4.8 hectare shipping institute located at Via Verde, San Agustin II, Dasmarińas, Cavite, with an initial goal to develop Filipino cadets from maritime colleges, into-world class seafarers and to prepare them to become officers.
The goal developed into a vision, the necessity of a well-structured and globally competitive maritime academy in pursuit of the continuing educational excellence and professional advancement.
Today, as one of the pioneering maritime schools offering industry-linkage programs in the country, MMMA shall ensure its commitment in strengthening institutional partnerships, promoting the values of excellence, discipline, and service, and utilizing the competencies of cadets by providing them with the latest facilities, equipment, curriculum, educators, and trainings.
