My 2 grandchildren born and raised here, who just graduated from Secondary High School couldn't even get a Low wage income in Fast foods chains to sustain them for their University. This wasn't the situation here 10 yrs. ago. Ang daming stambay na Canadian citizens ngayon, this is because all job markets are being occupied by IS and TFW, this is very evident if you go shopping in any Walmart Superstore, Canadian Superstore and in all other Superstores, Manufacturing, Warehouse jobs here in Canada, 75% are Temporary Indian workers. My family migrated here in Canda as Permanent Residents 30 yrs. ago and even before in our first few years, mahirap na talaga rin maghanap ng work kapag walang Canadian work experienced and Diploma, so what more now, nakiki agawan na ang mga Canadians sa mga Temporary residents. This is a very sad truth, we couldn't anymore recognize the country Canada, akala mo nasa India kami nakatira sa sobrang dami nila at sila pa ang feeling very "Entitled"
I totally agree with you. I feel like I live in India. No matter where I go, from Tim Horton’s to Walmart to McDonald’s…they are all brown people working there who are mostly international students. My daughter could not even find a part time job anywhere. This is completely the fault of the government. They did not think about the repercussions of bringing in so many of them and they dare protest. I am sorry, I would rather have Pinoys come in to the country.

When I was new in Canada, I was told not to make a mess, not to be involved in trouble, rally etc in short make your records clean. Which I did. I think your right, this rallies might be a contributing factor.
I remember way back 2014 kadarating lang namin dito sa Canada as tfw, then biglang nagpatupad ng moratorium ang Canada, hindi sila nag renew ng LMIA sa mga papaso na need talaga umuwi, then kami may 2yrs contract pa naman pero nagiisip na kami ng way para makapag stay pa, then 2015 or 2016 naglabas sila ng Express Entry program dun kami nagkaron ng pag asa, yung ibang pinoy lumipat ng ibang province, yung iba umuwi muna habang hinihintay ang renewal sa employer namin na na grant naman, kami ng asawa ko nakapasok kami sa express entry federal program dun kami na PR 2017. Kaya habang may panahon pa wag mawawalan ng pag asa, sa 8months mo marami pang mangyayari kapit lang… kapag para sa iyo ibibigay sayo yan 😊

Goodluck sainyo. May 8 months ka, make the most of out of it. Mag-ipon or subukan magpply sa ibang pathway. Parang mali naman na isisi sa Canada ang nangyari. At the end of the day tayo ang dayuhan dito, merong right ang Canada magbago ng mga decisions nila. TFW - name itself already states temporary so no need to explain. Sad to say na ang daming Pinoy ang nadadamay. Madaming immigrants kasi ang umabso sa mga rules.
My advise apply not in a short cut way. Why not apply as skilled worker or provincial nominee. Risky talaga yang TFW or student permit, matagal na pong bestado yan ng Canada government. Kung magbabago pa sila, Palagay ko Hindi na. Kasi maraming PR at Canadian Citizen na talagang affected sa economy ngayon. If you want to stay here for good do it in a right way, not in short cut. When I applied as skilled worker it took me 11yrs to wait but my waiting is sweet because Permanent Residence kaagad binigay sa buong 6 members of my family and after 3 yrs we applied as Canadian Citizen and we are now citizen for just 3 1/2 yrs here in Canada. Not risky, and all free benefits from government makuha mo din, from free education, free health care, and even bursary for your children. Wag na kayong makipagsapalaran sa risky na buhay, Iba po dito sa Canada at seguro sa ibang bansa din. Just my friendly advise.

I guess hirap din ang domestic economy and Trudeau is now failing as a leader, so his liberal policies are catching up on him. Ang naiipit ung mga talented na kababayan natin who invested much for their status but apparently, it appears that the Federal focernmentc was complicit in exploiting immigrants without an honest approach to jobs, settlement, and protection of inmigrants' rights.

Sila mama noon 2008 if I'm not mistaken, nanny days sila from HK to Canada. Super tagal nilang naging Permanent resident dito sa Canada, nakuha kaming anaks and apo around 2015 na, imagine the long wait before. Ngayon yung ibang Filos or not even Filos gusto short cut ways talaga. Wag po nating irush lahat, yung mga pangako nang mga agency sometimes it's not 100% true, still depends sa IRCC talaga. Sad to say pangit na ang Canada talaga daming unemployed pati mga Permanent Residents.
i feel you kabayan. I was also a TFW with a hard construction job but God manage to lead me find an application for self stream AINP- Alberta Immigrant nominee program. Took the IELTS, passed and submitted all the requirements for the nomination. It wasn’t easy and almost loose hope because my nomination was delayed and in queue for a long time almost reaching a few days before my work permit expires. God has a plan,for whatever reason may the best thing will happen for you and your family. Keep praying kabayan. 🙏🙏

25 years in restaurant business. 10 years abroad ops manager sa international resto. Same scenario new immigration law, napauwi, re-applied, denied. Actually when pandemic started nakakuha ako ng WFH with crypto company. Hindi kami investment but teaching filipinos to do crypto trade. Marami kaming OFW and filipinos living abroad na nag-aral and nag -aaral. Sabi nga nila, when someone closes the door for you, GOD will open his entire house and welcome you. i feel you kabayan. I was also a TFW with a hard construction job but God manage to lead me find an application for self stream AINP- Alberta Immigrant nominee program. Took the IELTS, passed and submitted all the requirements for the nomination. It wasn’t easy and almost loose hope because my nomination was delayed and in queue for a long time almost reaching a few days before my work permit expires. God has a plan,for whatever reason may the best thing will happen for you and your family. Keep praying kabayan. 🙏🙏

Actually when pandemic started nakakuha ako ng WFH with crypto company. Hindi kami investment but teaching filipinos to do crypto trade. Marami kaming OFW and filipinos living abroad na nag-aral and nag -aaral. Sabi nga nila, when someone closes the door for you, GOD will open his entire house and welcome you. Prayers lang and hopefully, you will find the best plan God created for you.

Hi Mang Jose. Try apply to Australia. They need a lot of chefs. My wife's nephew got a job here as chef. He got a temporary that will expire in 2028. His employer will sponsor him to get PR next year. His family will arrive here in Australia next May 2025.
