SUMAN in general are cooked Glutinous (Malagkit in Tagalog) Rice and WRAPPED in Banana or Coconut Leaves. COCO JAM or Matamis na Bao in Tagalog is made from Coconut Milk and Molasses (Panutsa in tagalog), that's why it has a Brown color. What you're eating is Suman sa Ibus or just IBUS and is truly Pilipino.

Para sa akin tama yung gawain ni Vika na maligo sa gabi para malinis ang katawan at buhok bago matulog kasi malagkit katawan pag nagsweat ka tapos yung buhok natin nagaabsorb ng alikabok at smoke lalo na pag labas natin ng bahay, ganyan din gawain namin ligo bago matulog para hindi malipat yung dumi ng buhok sa pillow at magcause pa ng pimple sa mukha. I take a bath at night too because it's fresh but if I go out or did something that makes me sweat like exercise or cleaning, I'll take a bath twice or even thrice a day. I just want to add that this is my first time hearing about suman with milo. It's weird for me but I respect other people's taste buds. 🤣
Coco Jam is from the coconut milk or gata. So you cook the gata (coco milk) together with panutsa or (palm sugar). We cook it like that and then you add Pili nuts here in bicol. So the best coco jam is in Bicol kasi may pili nuts kasi you only get pili nuts in Bicol.
You can buy bamboo shoots in a can. Wash them good and boil them. After boiling , squeeze off the water and you can add pepper and fish sauce or salt to taste. The other way to cook the boiled bamboo shoots are to stir fry by putting oil in a pan, then add the minced garlic. Add the squeezed bamboo shoots and keep stirring until they turn a little bit brown. Then it’s ready to be eaten.

Atsara nga tambò kag kapayas from Antique. Suman is "Ibos" in Panay.
