I got Camo version in .177 and have never had any problems loading pellets and cocking very smooth. Maybe just a lucky one. Silencer does make a huge difference and very accurate. I've put a bipod on it and BSA 4-12x44 scope on it. A great piece of kit. Fits perfectly in rat catcher bag but silencer has to be removed but fits nice into the pocket in bag.
One commenter warned against tightening the CO2 cap using the leverage bolt, saying it makes it too easy to overtighten the cap, that the leverage bolt is actually for loosening.
I own a camo effect version of this gun and agree; its a cracking little combo. In reference to the magazine issue; I discovered (the hard way) that some pellets will NOT work in the magazine, my original pellets work fine in the single shot tray, but they were too soft for the magazine and they jammed the magazine EVERY time! I bought a different type of pellet and they work perfectly fine with the magazines, so you may wish to use trial packs to figure out what pellets work best for you and stick with those :) In reference to the interchangeable barrel, I noticed the seals look VERY delicate and if you wish to switch them out frequently, you will probably need to invest in plenty of spare seals since they are likely to break easily!

@@bigmacntings7451 Since I now own one of each (.177 CP2 and .22 Diana Chaser, same gun, different brand) I have found they definitely have their quirks on what does and does not work: For my .177 I prefer marksman no.1 pellets for accuracy on the single shot tray, but they're WAY too soft for the magazine. If you inspect the magazine you'll see the carousel - that's the part that rotates within the magazine - doesn't rotate far enough. It's a simple operation to disassemble the magazine and carefully file the edge of the carousel that stops against the lug on the case. Look thru the pellet exhaust hole - the same hole the first pellet is inserted into - to check the alignment as you go. I've fixed 4 so far, taking about an hour each.

I would be interested in the legal situation with this in the UK. If you put the longer barrel on without the cheek piece , could it still be considered a pistol thus going over the 6 foot pound legal limit in the UK ? Or am I missing something?
Note ! the entire plastic moulding is MUCH STRONGER than it appears to the eye. With a magnet I discovered it's got a STEEL frame in the moulding. Use a drop of Pelgunoil on Co2 capsule tip before use, avoids chances of sticking when emptied. Myself, I will OIL any barrel seal-ring before fitting the barrel.
Great review, clear concise and straight to the point. Already have a couple of Air rifles but I'm thinking of getting a CP2 just for plinking in the back garden at 10 meters.
DUDE.... you HAVE TO tell people the weight you're shooting... i mean you might as well not even chrony the thing if you negate the pellet weight......
Are you still alive pal? For such a well spoken, knowledgeable lad seems strage you have left for 5 years plus. Ive only just found your channel. 09.2023. Hope your alive & well sir. Mike
Ive bought this combo and the mags let it down big time as it makes the accuracy suffer greatly. You also need to be careful changing the barrel too often as it destroys the o rings on the end of the barrel. Shame really as the price is awsome for what you get.
Thanks for your comment Gary mate not sure if you'll read my reply? Are the Mags a real problem for 5he victory as have been considering buying one and they seem amazing kits
How does the mag affect accuracy? Ince the pellet is pushed into the breech it starts off at the same point as the previous pellet so not sure how the accuracy would be affected 🤔 Unless the mag pushing the pellet ranges the skirt, that would affect accuracy
Not my type of style, I prefer the traditional looking rifles, I have an SMK XS78Co2 and a Remington Tyrant. Great review and very detailed too, subbed.
Cool airgun! I am in Canada and have purchased a Diana 'Chaser" .22 caliber Co2 pistol carbine kit in which looks to be a rebranded version of this Victory CP2 AirGun. I think it would look alot better with an M4 style adjustable stock.
Good review, looks like a nice gun. The mag obscuring the front sight doesn't look good, is it a problem? Also wondering if the co2 window also acts as a vent when changing capsules? Cheers
Note 2 ! There are 11mm width micro grooves in the Rear Sight fixing area , so I am going to attach a sturdy Red Dot on mine, my old eyes need optical assistance these days Ha ha ! I guess the rear sight assembly is easy to remove to clear the area ready for the Red Dot fixing on.
a great little pistol and rifle and i like them a great video well put put about info and how to set it up i used to shoot pigeons with a bsa scorpion so i think this will do the same
Quite an informative review but... You had an o ring missing off your rifle barrel. If that was missing when you used the chrony it may well have hindered the results. Not only that but you didn't state the pellet weight so the results are not much use to us. You really should do the middle grub screw up first as that makes sure the barrel is in the correct position. If people in the UK do as you did and change the barrel before putting the stock on you've actually just broken the law and committed an offence. Even though the instructions tell you to do that. Don't forget, there's a space to store a spare C02 capsule in the handle. Mine came with the 2 required allen keys in the box. I use RWS Superdomes and have never had a problem with the magazine. I think the guns in general can be a bit hit or miss regarding cycling issues from what I've seen. I would definitely recommend this gun though, you can't go wrong for the price.
Hi Nice vid btw. There is a vid on yt where the pellet was stiff from the mag so he drilled out the first part of the barrel and now it loads perfectly. You might want to look at it I am going to purchase the pp800 as the stock fits the cp2 so you can have a rifle that is pcp. I'll upload my work when don't. Keep up the good work.
I have the experience that the type of pallets determine if you have troubles using the magazine. I use hollow points from crosman and the slide in like in... Butter:)
According to Other Reviews - the 2 mm Allen Key & the other one IS supplied in with the kit, maybe you were just unlucky or it's slipped down in the packaging somewhere?? I've Allen keys galore from my time in Engineering lol.
This thing comes under a lot of names, mine is called artamis cp2 paid about 100 euros for it, its my cheapest pistol i own expected nothing from it but its surprisingly good for the price i do like it never had a problem with it ..nice vid.
sry maybe i asked wrong maybe i did not understand your answer, i was asking about just inside shooting (about 10m)not outside, i dont want something loud because of other people in house (sry english is not my native language)
You can shoot it indoors if you want it very quiet with moderator on. I shoot my 2250xl indoors at about 18 feet. So no problem there. Just get a good back stop and sorted.. Cordy 1.77...
Ihad the same trouble with the magazine and sometimes with the single tray. I overcame this by grinding a slight bevel on the barrel end, no problem now, all my pellets seat easily. Another improvement over the cp1 is the trigger, it's now two stage, much nicer.
Didn't install barrel properly, tighten middle grub screw first, that aligns the transfer port. Also I had the pellets loading problem, don't like pointed pellets plus there was no o ring at the end of the barrel 😭 just thinks to look out for

I from across the pond n it’s sold here as Diana Chaser 177 or 22. Although when trying to get the 22 model it was on back order so I got the .177 instead. It has been a good toy out of the box although I had to send the first one in cos the screw on the sight for the long barrel was missing. I called Pyramid Air to just send me the screw but they gave me an return ok to send them back to get a. New one!! Well good to say it worked out n was quickly dispatched as soon as they received my rifle. This time everything was in place n the silencer was removable on this new model!! I love this rifle and would get the 22 when it gets in stock again. I use it for pigeons trying to use my solar panels on the roof as a home n shit all over the place. Too bad I can’t use my real 22s to rid them.
Great video but didn’t hear you say what ft lbs, it did, although we saw the chrony figures not sure what your pellet weight was, else I could work it out , cheers Shane , mine is quite low on power 4.8 to 5.2 in rifle mode cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
I have had one for a few months now , great in all modes , one problem the rails on mine are off Center tried all sorts of sights and attachments nothing Center’s they are off by a few degrees and it’s really annoying , also not the only one to have this problem . ... seems it’s a design fault ...... as for the cartridge I find that the bsa .22 are fine no problem, few probs with the Remingtons ...
I've just bought one of these and was wondering if you could recommend the best pellet to use with it please? The available range is a bit bewildering to say the least! Thankyou.
@@Plough78 I hear they're good with the CP2, but couldn't get them when I bought mine; I found BSA Storm pellets work very well in my .177 (they work nicely in both the tray and magazines). I tried .177 marksman pellets and while they were great in the single shot tray, they deformed badly in the magazines and took me quite a while to remove the mess afterwards!
Different barrels of same models are likely to shoot different pellets accurately. The only way to get the best accuracy is to test a big number of different pellets.
Yeah !! I quite like it . I like the CP1anawl , so , which one would I have? And I think the CP1 has it , reason being is I have quite a few rifles , all top quality , and just fancy a pistol for close range plinking/target ( 10mtrs or there abouts ) not for pest control as I dont think this item would cut the mustard for that usage , even in the " rifle " format .. nice piece of kit though , and well worth the money , would make an excellent xmas prezzie for a lad/lass wanting too get into air gunning .. I wouldnt mind if someone bought it me for a prezzie .. so may show the mrs the review ...

You can get aftermarket parts www.trrobb.com/category/precision%20parts think that range is a bit far for rabbits, I've read in rifle form it's about 8 fpe but co2 depends on temperature as well. I'm probably gonna get one for plinking and just use in rifle form, my dad has the cp1 and loves it.

My cp2 is a 177. I have found out that the silencer that comes with the gun is not that good at all. It has very bad air flow so most of my shoots are all over the place. For 30 shoots it's rubbish. Just in case. You never know. One doesnt wish to void the warrenty before the expiration date This cp1 is going to get catchy in the USA. i see a niche for the right guys. Unless crossman gives us the multi shot breech for 22xx of which they already have the magazines available , this could put a small dent in sales. Its time to stop being stubborn in R&D and lets do this. Can ya tell im loyal to the red white and blue? but like so many of us enouph is enough. Small Mods for improvements and pimping sure! But no more totally rebuilding a gun, not when the cp1 & cp2 are available. Thanks again. MC...
Really great video mate for a fantastic little piece of hardware.
Nice review Matt... think I might have one of these for Chrimbo
Can wait to get one. On my wish list... Cordy 1.77
They're great fun Lee, you'll love it
I have the 22 in camo it's a lovely little set up with a pao red dot fitted !
Good point about the magazine
Not my type of style, I prefer the traditional looking rifles, I have an SMK XS78Co2 and a Remington Tyrant. Great review and very detailed too, subbed.
Instablaster
Good review. Looks a sound gun.
Your longer barrel missing an o ring!
Is this the same as a Diana Chaser?
Are you missing a seal on the longer barrel?
Cool airgun!
I am in Canada and have purchased a Diana 'Chaser" .22 caliber Co2 pistol carbine kit in which looks to be a rebranded version of this Victory CP2 AirGun.
I think it would look alot better with an M4 style adjustable stock.
From what I understand, Artemis, smk and diana are the same company, just location specific. :)
Like the Camo version , gonna get one , cheers for the vid Shane uk 🇬🇧
Good review, looks like a nice gun. The mag obscuring the front sight doesn't look good, is it a problem? Also wondering if the co2 window also acts as a vent when changing capsules? Cheers
got the same combo as you. .22 cp2 using RWS superdomes. getting nice close grouping like yours too.
I got 2 along keys in the box, one for the barrel and one for the rifle barrel rear sight !
How light is the trigger on this ,I have limited hand function and I,m looking for something like this for pest control.
Note 2 ! There are 11mm width micro grooves in the Rear Sight fixing area , so I am
going to attach a sturdy Red Dot on mine, my old eyes need optical assistance these days Ha ha !
I guess the rear sight assembly is easy to remove to clear the area ready for the Red Dot fixing on.
I did and its brilliant
I installed a cheap scope I already had and am waiting for my upgrade scope to arrive :)
a great little pistol and rifle and i like them a great video well put put about info and how to set it up i used to shoot pigeons with a bsa scorpion so i think this will do the same
I find JSB exact heavy and Daystate ft pellets all cycle smooth as silk in the mags and very accurate
In the US it’s called Diana Chaser n it come with the Allen key 2 diff sizes but they don’t have the magazine it cost $20 each!!
Great review thanks for uploading , subscribed .
Thanks Simo :)
Good review that mate any idea whats up next?
What distance were you shooting from at the target please didn’t hear you mention cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
How quiet is this when used with the moderator. Is it as quiet as firing a Airsoft spring pistol?
It's as quiet as hearing the striker ting, an pellet hitting the target. No pops, nothing.
Not true the barrel is so long it makes it instantly above the minimum lentgth even wjthout a stock
Shape of it dont matter its all about length just ask your mrs lol 😂😂
Hi
Nice vid btw.
There is a vid on yt where the pellet was stiff from the mag so he drilled out the first part of the barrel and now it loads perfectly.
You might want to look at it
I am going to purchase the pp800 as the stock fits the cp2 so you can have a rifle that is pcp.
I'll upload my work when don't.
Keep up the good work.
Love this gun!
How quiet is this mate? Thanks for the video.
I'll let you know Monday
Any chance you could do a silencer rebuild ?
You have to use domed pellets with the magazine.. good 👍🏻 review mate
Ps ,,,, I got 2 Alan keys in my box today in a bag with the spare seals
Same here 👍🏻
Why did you stop making reviews I feel this could have been a very Superior channel
Great review 👍
Is this the same breech as the cr600w
Can you use gamo lethal and other type of pellets in this?
I have the experience that the type of pallets determine if you have troubles using the magazine. I use hollow points from crosman and the slide in like in... Butter:)
shouldn't have any problem as my CR600 uses the same mags
“OK for small children,” that’s reassuring,
is that for them shooting with it or shooting them?
According to Other Reviews - the 2 mm Allen Key & the other one IS supplied in with the kit, maybe you were just unlucky or it's slipped down in the packaging somewhere?? I've Allen keys galore from my time in Engineering lol.
This thing comes under a lot of names, mine is called artamis cp2 paid about 100 euros for it, its my cheapest pistol i own expected nothing from it but its surprisingly good for the price i do like it never had a problem with it ..nice vid.
i want something that i can shoot inside of house this looks great but is moderator really that good ?
sry maybe i asked wrong maybe i did not understand your answer, i was asking about just inside shooting (about 10m)not outside, i dont want something loud because of other people in house (sry english is not my native language)
Chris Landry technically it’s a co2 rifle.. much louder ! But the mod makes a huge difference it’s silent
You can shoot it indoors if you want it very quiet with moderator on. I shoot my 2250xl indoors at about 18 feet. So no problem there. Just get a good back stop and sorted.. Cordy 1.77...
The moderator is brilliant !
Ihad the same trouble with the magazine and sometimes with the single tray. I overcame this by grinding a slight bevel on the barrel end, no problem now, all my pellets seat easily. Another improvement over the cp1 is the trigger, it's now two stage, much nicer.
What pellets are used in the CO2 pistol to get them choreograph marks
Left hand version ? The Bolt on Left !
yeahhh, he's prolly left handed I'm guessing
They all have the bolt on the left, which is where you want it for right handed pistol shooting.
Does anyone know why this gun comes with so many names? SMK, Victory, Snowpeak, Artemis, SPA, Diana Chaser...
Thank you for the excellent detailed review. ATB MMMD
Didn't install barrel properly, tighten middle grub screw first, that aligns the transfer port. Also I had the pellets loading problem, don't like pointed pellets plus there was no o ring at the end of the barrel 😭 just thinks to look out for
What pellets were u using.?
from my experience he was using .22, .177 is also available too though
Are these still in production?
Here it is under the Diana name, same gun different market, mentioned in other reviews here but includes a link .www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Diana_Chaser_CO2_Air_Rifle_Kit/4613#9002
well obviously
Alguien sabe a cuantos metros disparó/Anyone know how many meters he fired? Gracias!/thank you
It looks just like my Diana chaser.
Is this a first cousin to the " Diana Chaser '?
Great video but didn’t hear you say what ft lbs, it did, although we saw the chrony figures not sure what your pellet weight was, else I could work it out , cheers Shane , mine is quite low on power 4.8 to 5.2 in rifle mode cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Check your transfer port. Mine was like that and when i stripped it down I found it had a 2.5mm transfer port instead of the standard 3.5mm.
Was it ok to use in rifle mode with the bolt been on the left side, given rifles usually have the bolt on the right side?
I have no problem with mine :)
really easy to use,not a problem
Very nice! Q. The longer barrel increases the power but does the moderator also increase power, even just slightly?
Longer barrel makes it look a bit fugly
moderator reduces power, maybe 5% or so, but because it's quieter i have a better strike rate on this than I do with a full power springer.
What thread is end
I need to buy it sir
How to buy
I've just bought one of these and was wondering if you could recommend the best pellet to use with it please? The available range is a bit bewildering to say the least! Thankyou.
JSB exact
Yeh deffo ideal for beginners Mark and a perfect way to introduce them into the airgun world
@@TheAirgunHub
Hi The Airgun Hub. I have been following and watching your vdo for along time. It is cool. I am Khemtit from Thailand l like and want to buy SMK PC2 5.5 caliber Rifle. I would like to how nuch it costs and how I can buy one. Thank you very much for your details. I will wait for it. Thank you again. My ID line is 0934370880.
Did you get your CP2 Khemttit ?
seems like its something i want to put in my camping bag but the c02 lest it down if i can add a pump that would be cool am quit new to air guns so hummm
This stock fits the pp800 so you can have a pcp pistol / rifle
this is a perfect camping tool!!.
you can pick up the 12g capsules of co2 for next to nothing, they weigh practically nothing and you can have one active, one spare in the stock, and a couple in your hiking bag.the gun will dissassemble and reassemble easily, weights nothing and is accurate.
This gun is a serious piece of camping kit. Would recommend!
How much cost

I just pre-purchased the .22 Diana "Chaser" Co2 Rifle Kit from Pyramid Air,,,,,The gun looks Identical!, What I would like to know,,,,how does the .22 version w/ the long barrel attached perform in the "field"?,,,Would it be able to take down a Rabbit w/in 25-30 yd's w/ proper Ammunition,,,,a nice Fast round like a 13.4gr Air Arms "Falcon"/JSB Exact RS, or Alloy rounds like the Gamo Raptor, H&N FTT /Baracuda Green's??,,,,,and How does it Compare to Crosmans 2240 performance wise?,,,,,I know it's too early to see what, if any after-market part's will be avilable for "Modding",,,I sure Hope there will be, because this Shooter looks like it has the Capabilities of leaving the Ol' 2240 in the Dust!
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed it quite accurate out of the box n with the longer rifle barrel you’ll get your target
What caliber?
His was a .22 caliber, but the .177 is equally respectable!
How many good powered shots with a single capsule?
60 shots per 12g co2. Cordy 1.77
Lee Cordy thanks for answering. What pellets would you suggest for the maginze? I use smk spitfire pointed and they end up jamming
I am using thunder bolt pellets. Really good. I no they are hurting pellets but they fit nicely. Or you can try RWS superdome. Smk pellets are not the best. Cordy 1.77..
You should get about 45 50 solid shots from one CO2.... CORDY 1.77
I was thinking some hollow points for close range vermin shooting....something like bisley should be good?
So there is no SMK dealer in U.S.A. ---
It’s sold here thru Pyramid Air under the Diana Chaser w kit . Enjoy
were can I get one and how much. will they ship to the us
Again .www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Diana_Chaser_CO2_Air_Rifle_Kit/4613#9002
I got 1 and i use it in rifle
Nice video !!! I have subscribe your channel ;-) Thumbs up and greetings from germany
Thanks Waffenfummler :)
Waffenfummler gutten tag!
My cp2 is a 177. I have found out that the silencer that comes with the gun is not that good at all. It has very bad air flow so most of my shoots are all over the place. For 30 shoots it's rubbish. They for the last 30 it's get a bit better but not much. Plus you can't change the silencer because it does not have a 1/2 thread. So hums down for the cp2..... Cordy 1.77....
Most moderators will drop your power by about 10/15 % due to back pressure on pellet.
Window of life
No allen keys? Unforgivable.
1:20 you're wrong there
look really like Diana chaser..!!!
It is, same gun, different name. I have just bought same gun in .22 camo from Krale in Holland and its called Artemis CP2. Exactly same gun. Regards, Kevin in NZ,
Schick ;-)
When he said it was ideal for small children . hahaaaaaaaaaa
Already a guy complained, why would anybody want to interchange a weapon don’t be so cheap . That doesn’t even seem fun
People like me who dont have a car and public transport/walking down the street with a rifle case is quite alarming to people who are not used to it so police unnecessary hassle you without being able to do anything legally and its the convenience of being able to go from pistol for rats and small spaces and rifle for the longer shots
Well, this gun is brilliant, I've just put mine in rifle mode, added a telescopic sight, red dot sight, a bipod and butt bag, I will now be buying another so I can have a permanent pistol too. Just wish I could show mine in rifle mode as it looks awesome but here is a vid that shows it that looks nearly identical to mine. Awesome stuff. ruclips.net/video/-f46hq9oCPM/видео.html
