OH SOMETHING I FORGOT TO MENTION- The ripped tag from Throw Down, which has the name "Rei Kirisaki" on it and the crossed 'XY', proofs that the person Shidou was trying to save was male = it has to be one of his children, not his wife!!
From the 20 questions its implied that his family was involved in a Car accident. So I believe that his children instantly died while his wife is brain dead and he tries to save her.
4:57 I think it could be that Shidou consider himself a liar because he believed in killing braindead people to save other people until they asked him to do the same with his son. But this is just a theory. A GAME THEORY.
Also when he said it breaks his heart to be hated by children and that he likes them What if he’s reflecting to when he had his children and he sees something in them.. that he wants to save them as he couldn’t save his own It’s why he doesn’t want to die anymore so he can be there for these ones
in the first voice trailer, Shidou says “SHE’s not dead, i finally understand what i’ve been robbing from other people” so idk about him saving his child instead of his partner?
I believe that triagr doesnt change his history in any means. Forst, triage is a medical term that is used to express "priority" between patients(example, someone with cancer will get treatment first than a guy with a broken leg; they are both important; but the guy with the broke. Leg is probably going to survive). This, his voice drama anf the mv show a change on his perspective. He wants to be forgiven, but not for him; for the other prisioners. Triage is a message from shidou to es saying that his priorities were wrong and that he knows that the things he did were wrong. BUT now he prioraties him saving people from kotoko I am REALLY srry for my crappy grammar, english is not my mother tongue.
Nah because I honestly feel bad for Shidou and I think he needs a retry in life, since I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t go back to doing that due to obviously regretting it so much to where he wants/wanted the death penalty. Though I hope Ez tells him in the next trial that he shouldn’t live for others and should live for himself but I doubt that’d happen😭
I feel like I'm gonna forgive him for 2 reasons. 1: Clearly he isn't a wholly bad person, he's trying to save his son. 2: I'm kinda forced to, he said without his help, Mahiru will die and nobody wants that. I actually still don't understand why Mahiru was voted guilty.
There wasn't initially enough information given for Mahiru's murder aside from the fact we know it was her boyfriend. People just assumed the worst with what little info they got and voted guilty. It's an understandable deduction, but it probably wasn't the right answer.
This is a really good theory! I will say that the song covers aren’t meant to be related to the MILGRAM plot, so I wouldn’t think too much about the songs given for Shidou to cover. That said, I do have a possible explanation for those songs based on my very limited knowledge of what they’re about (sadly I’m only vaguely familiar with Delusion Tax and less so with Liar Dance). Liar Dance, to my understanding, is widely regarded to be a response to Ghost Rule from the POV of the lover who was on the receiving end of Ghost Rule’s lies. This could be in reference to Shidou’s relationship with his wife and how she feels betrayed by Shidou. Perhaps she left him after learning that he failed to save their son? She feels lied to, believes her husband didn’t try hard enough, and/or feels brutally disillusioned from his prior promises. Now onto Delusion Tax, a song about paying dirty money for a fantastical future that will never come true. Not too far from Shidou’s organ harvesting in a futile effort to save his son, no? And all his attempts to convince families to give up their hopelessly lost loved ones so he can save his own, only to lose all of them in the end. Truly, Shidou paid the gravest delusion tax. This might be too much of a stretch, and again, the song covers are unrelated to the story of MILGRAM, so at the end of the day it’s not very productive to give them this much thought. Regardless, I think Shidou deserves to be forgiven for his crimes, and he definitely needs to stay innocent for this trial to prevent any of the other prisoners from dying.
First of, good theory. This has already shown me a lot of details that’s people could easily miss and prove a good for others to look at. For me, my take would be some want different: I think only the older child is in a coma. The ticket he had was the same as the “veggies” that he bought home, which symbolizes the life( or organs idk) of the brain dead patients he ask to “kill” and took those organ from. He called himself a liar and didn’t forgive himself is because he had lied about all of the good things that the organ could help others and not trying to understand the patients family pain to give up on their hope until it happen to him and he couldn’t do the right thing that he has always do for the sake of other lives. That he have been ending lives that can still exist even if it’s just barely living for the sake of hope. Oh and I think Shidou and his wife divorced and she takes the younger child. Yeah that’s about it, I have another theory but I’m pretty sleepy so not now.
Hey, OP! While watching this theory video, I also just noticed that in the scene where Shidou is surrounded by pancakes, there are four of them. It could be that they represent him and his family! The two on the opposite far sides have syrup splattered around them, almost like bl00d. Two or three of them have knives stabbed into them. And then there's the one closest to Shidou's arm. It's protected by a plate which is broken half-way down the middle. No knives piercing it, no syrup splattered around it- could it perhaps represent Shidou and what happened to his family...? maybe...? idk
If you look at Es' music video (Under, I think it's called?), you can see Es saying quotes for each prisoner that reflects their sins, and Shidou's quote is "To deceive or be deceived" which leads me to think there is a possibility that Shidou may be lying to the audience in some way. I'm not really sure; I'm just theorizing, but I do remember how Shidou discussed his perception of a certain emotion, and I believe he stated how the body simply reacts to things biologically which perhaps suggests a distance from his feelings? (the first voice drama) I'd need to rewatch it, but for the lying theory, it strikes me how Shidou acts so happy about "throwing down other people's value" (first music video) and he only shows regret when his attempts fail. While many people think Shidou has low self worth, I think this may suggest more of a god complex rather than an inferiority complex. Don't get me wrong, I'm still voting him innocent, but this is just something I've thought about. Again, no evidence, just a thought :p Edit: First off, Es' video is called Undercover which actually relates to what I'm about to discuss. I think the overarching theme (or plot twist) is that Es is somehow related to these crimes, or that Es is a prisoner as well that is "undercover", and Es and Shidou discuss this in the second voice drama. They discuss how Es is also a prisoner, sort of. In Es' video, in between the clips of all the prisoners smiling evilly at their crimes, you can see a brief glimpse of a black figure with the same smile which I'm assuming is Es which suggests Es also has some sort of crime. There is probably some symbolism in the use of the boxes with the prisoners' number (and songs, I think), but I think Milgram is a project that, in the end, will focus on the audience rather than the prisoners. In the end of the music video, you can see Es in normal clothing as he vanishes into the box, leaving Jackalope alone. Since Es is the representation of the audience, Milgram is suggesting the audience is also guilty. I think this is an interesting theory, but I am unsure if it is actually valid lol
In his 2nd voice drama he says he felt that he was lying to himself once he realized the organ harvesting was detrimental to the families bc he has experience. He might be referring to himself being deceived in undercover.
I will probably forgive him, because I just kinda feel bad for him, his son died, his other son is in a coma, his wife left him, etc. Also thanks for making this video, I can usually tell a bit from the originals but I'm not good at finding little details, so this really helped me to understand more!
I'm gonna forgive but I feel like the 3rd one he may beg us to vote him to not forgive him as he no longer has an use .It's like yuno I'm scared what voting to forgive her will do this time. I did but what if it makes her go off the deep end.I forgive him as well but the line about the fang I hope he doesn't mean to try to fight ko because that wouldn't end well.
I will say... I want to spread this word around, but I don't have quite the audience. Me and a friend group was talking about what we should do from Shidou and going forward. We all came to the conclusion that we should stop voting. Especially for the next one which is Mahiru. Shidou himself said that "This may be outside of my profession, but her mental health is deteriorating as well." "Both their (Mahiru's) minds and their bodies are at their limits." " Let's stop this already, Es Kun." "Even now, Shiina-kun (Mahiru) is in a condition where any digression could be fatal. She can't live without my treatment. " we (my 3 person friend group) don't think she can take a decision like innocent and guilty in her current condition. Both potential votes can only come out bad in our opinion. Despite the fact that Milgram is (more or less) a jail to test people of their sins / murder. I think we should try and at least keep them alive. We also agreed that the innocent vote for Yuno this season is unneeded. We already know of Yuno's crime. And if we just don't vote, we don't think anything would happen and Yuno would just exist as how she is already. We don't know how all these prisoners are dealing mentally when it comes to our decisions of Innocent and Guilty. In the case of Mahiru, There's no other options than to not vote. It's just that there isn't a "no vote" button and instead we're doing it in belief that it will have an effect on something. Just wanted to share my two cents and my friend's too lol.
I disagree that this will do anything, though, because Mahiru could just interpret it as "so I am not worthy of neither an innocent nor a guilty vote?" or something along those lines. First of all, not voting is realistically impossible to achieve and secondly, I am sure Jackalope could twist that decision to backfire. So the decision to not vote doesn't do much, we should instead figure outwhat the best course of action for Mahiru is.
@@foderis8777 hmm.. true, I guess our best bet for Mahiru would be to see how really bad off she is before voting, with the idea of not voting on the side. Yea maybe it’s impossible, but it’s worth a good try.
In My Case I do find your theory interesting! And as for his Cover Songs I believe they're about how her wife isnt an Angel as most people think, I do believe She in some Kind manipulated Shidou to try everything to save His children, after all both His Covers Talk about Lies, in Liar Dance case Talks about a lying relationship, and the "sister Song" of Liar Dance is Ghost Rule, which specifically Says about a partner Who has Lied and Feels regret of doing so, ruining everything, similar to how Shidou Says "I can't anymore, I can't Keep the taking" and Delusion Tax Talks about Someone asking their other to Keep lying and doing what they're doing to make everyone Happy, with This Said, I believe Shidou's Wife, after the accident forced him and manipulated him Into lying and extracting Organs, after a while, he regrets this, this IS why he IS tired of lying, tired of keeping This Up, with this after the youngest child died, She left him, leaving him more Scared.
I don't fully agree with the video on triage being before throw down bc it's just showing what he did in his work (the flower body is not his child but an image of the people he's saved from organ harvesting from braindead patients). He's emotional detached bc he convinced himself it was for a good cause until his family was put in a similar situation. We see more emotion from him around him family in general, he probably couldn't show emotion while convincing other families to pull the plug These are also just my thoughts so I stand in theory and not in fact
OH SOMETHING I FORGOT TO MENTION-
The ripped tag from Throw Down, which has the name "Rei Kirisaki" on it and the crossed 'XY', proofs that the person Shidou was trying to save was male = it has to be one of his children, not his wife!!
What's Shidou's last name ?
@@regalseagull kirisaki
@@amburg37 thanks, it could have proven or disproven the theory, so I preferred to ask
But wouldn''t the fact XY is crossed mean that the sex is XX?
Rei is a gender neutral name and xy being marked means that the patient was female so I don’t think so
From the 20 questions its implied that his family was involved in a Car accident. So I believe that his children instantly died while his wife is brain dead and he tries to save her.

5:17 I think he is talking about reparing the damage she caused
Yeah, extract it, not break it, right?
I feel like the shared piece of fabric has a meaning to it. The wife and older kid’s belts and younger kid’s scarf. But I can’t pin point a reason

he doest felt guilty base on the MV and to be voted makes him debate if he deserves to not be PUNISHED OR spared by Es (us)
