I just want to say I love that it's called Sungai Kalimantan. A nod to the Indonesians in the Netherlands and part of our national history. Props to Adventurepark Hellendoorn: I've never forgotten the name (or our ties with Indonesia for that matter)
Cool, I grew up with the now defunct white water river ride at Dreamworld built by an amateur in 1984, Gold Coast, Australia and a log ride. Was basic but fun probably same length 480 metres. They had logs changed in place to create waves. Originally the centre settling pond held movie nights and it was a pool party

It's awesome to have these videos available in English aswell so my girlfriend can pick up what is being said aswell, and not just me having to translate everything that's said or having to turn on the auto generated subtitles with google translate on. :P
Dang, I thought the other way of making the waves was having a pump house with an electric blower. Then there would be a part in front of it with a series of flaps that go to chambers to distribute the air evenly, causing the water to be forced out of the chambers, therefore creating waves. Thought that instead of the paddle.

That's why there are some extra 'brakes' for the boats in the ride. The boats will stop there and will end on the bottom of the empty flume.
