What is everyone cooking for Thanksgiving dinner and who are you spending it with?? What's your go to recipe?

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Eastern Europe :'( sometimes I wish we did because it seems like such a heartwarming holiday, especially when you get to celebrate it with your loved ones. However, we get to do that on Christmas. But instead of turkey, we cook a lot of pork 😅

@@itsblitzzz I actually was against having kids during the years I could have had them. Many reasons, most were coming from a dysfunctional family. Then I got an autoimmune condition that took me out for more years I also could have had a child.. When I came out of it I changed and really did want a child and had regret for the time I had lost. An ex of mine asked me to have kids with him during the time I was sick and I had considered it but ultimately said no. He has two beautiful boys now and I feel some sadness there but I am overjoyed for him and anyone who has them. I think my loss makes me more appreciative for others.

Obviously do your research and do what you feel is best. But that has definitely worked really well for all my babies.

We had a huge issue with our son’s gas and reflux to the point we brought him to the ER at one month old because we thought he was having trouble breathing. Long story short he was very gassy and holding him upright for 30 mins after a feed was the key for him.

  • @ambertestorelli1436

when she is being fussy because of gas put her on her stomach on your thighs and rub up firmly on her back. Not hard of course but firm from the lower back up between the shoulder blades. This will help move the gas. My baby had bad gas and the dr told me that he had acid reflux and to introduce a tiny bit of rice cereal to my breast milk when bottle feeding. I went back to work pretty early after having him at the 8 week mark so he had been bottle fed before. This helped alot. When I say it was a tiny amount of rice cereal I mean it was like 1/4 teaspoon. Maybe not for everyone but his pediatrician recommended it because he was so gasie and would vomit occasionally. The tiny bit of cereal helped with this. I would of course talk to the pediatrician before introducing this or trying it. Just a suggestion to ask them if this is something that could help?

My son was also so gassy that his pediatrician ruled it a milk allergy and I had to go to an elimination diet. It turned out to just be really bad gas, and in the end he had to just grow out of it around 5-6 months. Mylicon gas drops after every feed really saved us though. They didn't fix it, but they helped my baby not be so uncomfortable. I do not recommend adding them to a bottle, they instantly soured the milk! He took them happily just straight into the inside of his cheek.

To respond to the question about what helped our baby with gas…..
We used a small amount of castor oil topically over her liver. Clockwise rotations before bed.
Also - it takes 30 days of the dairy elimination to actually flush dairy from the body (and sadly a slice here or there starts you back at day 1 )
It was hard for me too but those two things helped tremendously

You put it in baby’s bum and it lets the air out like a balloon! I know you’re into evidenced-based research like me, I couldn’t find anything proving elimination diets helping for colic (of course there are real sensitivities/allergies) and unfortunately the only thing that really helped was time (started at 5 weeks, peaked at 7 weeks, resolved by 9 weeks.) You can look into the PURPLE theory. Some people love the baby frida product ‘windi’ but it didn’t seem to make a difference. We tried gripe water and gas drops too, I cut out caffeine, etc. I know it’s a hard phase, but it truly is a phase and you’re working through it with such grace!

Basically, you very gently move the baby's body into different yoga positions to help relieve the gas symptoms. Kind of like how we as adults can use yoga in the same way. Again, I know know nothing, but it might be worth researching.

Your baby may have a tongue or lip tie that is causing the gas! My son has this and it made a HUGE difference when we had it fixed!

As a 43 yes old woman who has had many a long night with many children enjoy this time. I know that the nights are long & the days are short, but it goes by so quickly. Soak in every minute, you'll remember them like it happened yesterday when she moves away, gets married, has children of her own if she chooses ❤️ y'all are doing fantastic

Nick giving Julia a tiny spoon in her soup made me laugh so hard because it's the exact type of "prank" I would pull. I watched that part like 10 times lol

Wow, the clip of Honor laying on the bed while you folded laundry… seeing her mesmerized and in awe by you was so sweet to witness. Thank you for sharing parts of your life with us- including her! ❤

My daughter also had terrible gas while I was breastfeeding. My Doctor suggested not eating onion, garlic, or peppers. Seemed to work for her. Best of luck!

Yes, onions an garlic lead to lots of gas when I was breastfeeding my kids.

It brings me joy to see you settling into motherhood so gracefully, although I'm sure it doesn't always feel that way. Watching you fold her little laundry reminded me of those precious newborn months.
My baby was also born 3 weeks early, and he too struggled with gas. We did bicycle kicks and warm baths a lot, but in all honesty I think the only thing that actually helped was growing older. My problem solving nature drove me to try a lot of methods from belly massages to gripe water, but the real relief came when he was about 4 months old. Sending so much love and positivity to your sweet little family.

Spent the entire day cleaning & decorating for Thanksgiving and just sat down for an itty-bitty break and found this vid.
I have been watching you for years. I am over the moon happy for you and Nick! You all look so happy, it made me “feel” happy. 😊
    Happy Thanksgiving!

As a parent of three girls, this video brings back good memories of that stage of parenthood and my marriage. Your playfulness with each other is great. Rooting for you both.
