Hebrews 10:19-39 lesson by Dr. Bob Utley, retired professor of hermeneutics (Bible interpretation). Recorded at the Bible Lessons International studio.
Whenever anybody comes to a Scripture that indicates baptism actually does something, they squirm and try to sweep it under the rug. Why is it so hard to understand? We're saved by grace through faith-not by our own works. But baptism is a passive action in which God does the work (Romans 6:1-6; Colossians 2:12)
There is no ambiguity...one can turn or fall away from salvation. Period!
