i wanted so bad to do this job, but for 15 or 16 bucks an hour? HELL NO!!! There is NO EXCUSE for this to pay less than a nurse just working the floor. I will gladly go to school for 2 years, be a dental hygienist and make an easy 100k - 200k plus depending on where ya live.
I agree, the Surgical Tech plays a Critical role in the OR which is why here in CA they are offering 27/hr right out of college and 37/hr adter 2 years experience as a Traveling ST
