I was part of this video and the work crew at this camp two summers ago. All of us were there because we wanted to volunteer our time. We didn't get paid, but that is why it was awesome. This was the best experience of my life, not a cheap way to go to camp.
I was on Yong life work crew at Frontier Ranch in Beuna Vista Colorado in 1974 ( WOW Really that long ago) Everytime I look at this video I'm there, reliving every monent. A comment that was made was "Work Crew changed my life forever." True, True, True.

I did work crew at Windy Gap... a long time ago...will never forget it...
It's awesome I went to camp and timber lake, for wildlife. And seeing all the work crew and all they do meant a lot. I gave Jesus my heart. It was the best week of my life. One day I hope to help people like you!!!

Love this video. I was involved in young life and did summer staffing at rockbridge and sharp top cove. And And a work week at timber wolfe lake. I'm hoping to to this again sometime and help out with young life.

Rockbridge Session 1 Workcrew 2011
@play2winmd is a Christian based camp, they dont shove it down your throat! They speak about for maybe an hour a day. Camp is really just giving kids the opportunity to enjoy LIFE and LOVE and to be a KID. Younglife isn't manipulating anyone, you choose to go, and you choose to listen. YoungLife will forever be amazing to many many children!

What motivates these kids to volunteer is not money! How dare you say that? What motivates them is the chance to give other kids what camp gave them. And when you do work crew your not there as a camper so it has nothing to do with affording anything. And you don't get a "discount" of any sort. Even though yes this

i've spent the past 10 summers of my life paying to go to a fancy, expensive camp. they've been awesome summers but this summer i'm applying to do summer staff because i'd rather spend my time growing closer to Christ through service. my parents could send me to camp again this summer if i wanted, though. it's my choice to serve.
@play2winmd you know I got REALLY upset when I read your comments... But it's ok, it's human nature to judge when we don't understand things. So let me inform you. This is coming from a sixteen year old, graduating senior, who has been involved in Younglife/Wyldlife since seventh grade. I absolutely am in love with this organization. I did WC at Rockridge this summer and this video encapsulates all of the feelings I brought away from that experience. It's amazing to see so many great people working together to love kids and grow the kingdom of god.
Haha I love the part where I say "crumbs of nastiness." pretty much sums up being a server. I would not trade my experiences with this work crew/ summer staff for anything. I was so blessed by God at Lake Champion this summer, and I truly do have awesome friendships because of it. Love all of you people from Lake Champion June 2011 :))
I did W.C at a different young life camp this summer and I wouldn't have changed that experience for anything. It was by far the best. I loved it so much!

This video is awesome! I love when they are talking about how the jobs aren't always the funnest jobs, but you have to remember why your doing them and why your waking up so early and going to bed so late. Awesome video! Go Servers!
WC was the best four weeks of my life and being able to look at this video and seeing my friends and I serving is one of the greatest gifts I could imagine. I love every person in this video and thank God every day for allowing me to serve with them
