If the car's title is in my name, are all of my assets at risk to a lawsuit if they get into an accident?

Great question. Generally no in New Hampshire; unless you knew your child should not be driving, such as for example because your child has a drug, alcohol, or medical condition that impairs their driving and you still let them drive your car. The legal claim would be called negligent entrustment in New Hampshire. That said, you should have car insurance that covers liability and you should speak with your insurance agent about such insurance coverage in that even if you and your child are safe drivers, accidents still happen and even if you or your child are not at fault one or both of you can be sued with a frivolous law suit and the liability portion of your car insurance should pay for the defense of that frivolous law suit. You can certainly require your child to pay the extra portion of you car insurance premium for having the extra car and extra permitted driver on your insurance. You should speak with your insurance agent regarding appropriate car insurance coverage for all your cars and the family members driving those cars.
