Mystere is a show I saw as a kid and I remember it as something magical. Yes I'm very excited for this!
Science inspires Art. It doesn't get better than this! I grew up watching David Sazuki on Nature of Things. ❤️🇨🇦
Thanks Cirque for doing these specials on Friday. When we were quarantined, wow did they make my week! However, I've got to put this out. This special sucked. When 75% is a bunch of guys talking and characters crawling around the desert, it's not what you guys are about. That wasn't behind the curtain, it was in the classroom. The "O" behind the curtain was great! Behind the curtain would be hearing from the artists themselves. From the technicians, musicians and creative folks. Yeah Franco was there but even he didn't have much to say. Please keep doing these specials but remember why you are famous. It's because of great performers, directors, artistic folks and people with some of the best imaginations on the planet. I've seen many Cirque shows multiple times. I'm a huge fan and hope you guys get to return to the stage soon. Thank you guys so much!
True. I feel like I was watching a Discovery Channel program.
The OVO one I just watched was great!
I agree with your main point, but not so much that I'd say it "sucked". Even the poor videography zooming in so close you can see how fake the cosmetics & costumes are, even the degreed scholars speculating on what or what not will ever remain mysterious, cannot completely cause the epic music & acrobatics of Mystere to ever "suck".
They laid off a lot of the performers right?
@ Joe Blow; "but remember why you are famous"? In other words- keep giving me the part I want. Don't grow, don't change, don't go where your heart takes you. Just keep putting out the 'product' I want to buy (or in this case- the product I'm getting free).
I personally believe that if the ones who create something you love want to tell you something about what inpires and moves them, you might learn something by listening.
Edit- P.S. " it's not what you guys are about." They get to decide what they're about, don't you think?
Saw Mystere three times in the late 90s. Still the most impressive end to end experience. Hope to see it again soon.

I count the "baby" girl at 21:24 doing 12 flips in 8 seconds. How she's able to do that will always be a Mystere to me!

I saw this show in Vegas in February.. very lucky I got a chance to see it
The first cirque show I saw was Ka, now years later a second show, Mystere. I really liked the clowning from the baby and the guy who seems is not supposed to be there. The audience participation made me think how slightly different every show would be, in that the value of live performance

Cirque is almost always completely brilliant. But this special was awful. In all of the cirque shows I’ve ever seen, never once have I taken the time to think of how a piece of matter and a drop of water with a puff of air created the matter or performer I’m currently watching. Score 1/2 out of 10.
This is not behind the curtain... this is such a bunch of old guys making a bad sunday review about a normal day at the circus
Not the most entertaining documentary. A bit too much talking from non Cirque performers
Not much about the show. This was way too abstract, and did nothing to explain what a geneticist had to do with the making of the production...
