Thank you very much. Yes this is two year laters. But this means a lot has I learn everything I know about detailing from you. God bless you wherever you are
There is no wall load on the raft beam. only the slab. all the loads on the storeys above have been transferred through the columns down. If you add beam wall load you would succeeded to increase the load on the foundation which might reduce how optimum you design is.
hello, I discovered that while using the "user defined contour" you specified Y16 as your reinforcement but on the model, when the steel bars were introduced they were all Y12. What happened? Thank you
Yes, its been observed that the software would make equivalent provisions of selected steel. So it can create alternative provisions if there are other area of steel and spacing that can work in the place of the selected one. I hope you will understand my explanation
It is a stiffness parameter that is commonly used to define the support conditions of footings and mat foundations. This parameter explains a linear elastic response. Hence during the design, the pressure generated by the modulus of subgrade reaction is limited to the allowable bearing pressure of the soil.
Is it compulsory that all raft foundation must have slab?. What if you decide to use beam all through the trench of the foundation without slab, will the results be perfect?
I mean after raising all the reinforced trench to the DPC floor level, you will sand fill, compact and do your normal mass concrete floor with out reinforcement (as your DPC floor)
how to produce the raft detailing? If we do slab beam raft in prota how we should draw in our structural plan? is there any platform can I contact you?

@@ultimatedlegend8560 Wow Wow
I am so encouraged
It's a useful video. Thank you.
Good work boss, how can you include the ring beam of the last floor if the house your designing doesn't have aslab roof but has timber roof
I really enjoy your lecture, I am a Structural Civil Engineer. I need your mentorships. Thanks
Good day sir..
I am glad to get your feedback
Where are you connecting from?
@@Joshua_d_designer I am connecting you from Cross River State
@@GeorgeOmini-wj7kp adejumo.joshua1@gmail.com send me a mail sir
Nice video. I noticed u didn’t include beam wall load to ur raft beams.
How do we carter for that?
You can add beam wall load as we did for the other floors
@@Joshua_d_designer ok, thanks a lot. I have learned a lot from u.
@@Augustine_Alul I am glad to hear this. Thank you 😊

what does the subgrade coefficient in the parameters 50000kn/m3 represent?.

Is it compulsory that all raft foundation must have slab?. What if you decide to use beam all through the trench of the foundation without slab, will the results be perfect?
I really don't seem to understand your question, if you want to do without the slab in your raft, then what forms your foundation floor?
I mean after raising all the reinforced trench to the DPC floor level, you will sand fill, compact and do your normal mass concrete floor with out reinforcement (as your DPC floor)
@@victornwadishi6532 No,that's not raft. The foundation is a whole system and not just the beam

Yea,do reachout to me via mail; adejumo.joshua1@gmail.com
Why you put beams on raft and why level of mat foundation above earth
You should know that raft foundation are of different types, this is a beam and slab raft
@@Joshua_d_designer but the famous type is rested on earth and we use beams when the soil is very weak
My value is so low about 26.
How do i solve this problem
@@EmmanuelOshilim what value exactly?
👍
Thanks
Hello sir, have noticed that the design does not show the T2 and B2 how to do we treat it or go about it?
Yes, because that's how the program has been configured.
does a raft really have a beam
There's what we know has beam and slab raft...
As the name implies, it has a beam
