This place situated at Gazipur town of District Fatehpur. Fatehpur district is in between Kanpur and Allahabad (Prayagraj)
Fatehpur district has played an important role in the freedom struggle of 1857.

Ghazipur fort was built by Maharaja BirSingh Dev of Argal(Gautam Rajput) which was later given to Khichars(khinchi Chauhan Rajputs) as dowry with jagir of aijhi pargana and other nearby parganas.

This fort was built by argal maharajas(gautam rajputs) who gave Gaj dev(a khinchi chauhan) singh a jaagir of 64 villages, pargana of aijhigarh(which is named as now Ghazipur) with 2 forts.
