Challenge idea: Take all of the “era” teams and put them in the modern era. So showtime lakers, 80’s Celtics, dynasty bulls, and 01’ lakers. See which era is truly the most dominant in today game. (Extra idea, try putting those teams in other eras and see what the result is.)
Steph isn't just a 3 point shooter, he's also an elite mid range shooter and has the quickest shot release in nba history. I think he would have scored plenty of points in any era even if they weren't shooting as many 3s.
I think he would have been a 24 ppg type scorer in most eras, because the way they play defense since early mid- 2000's has allowed pg's numbers to inflate...and the shots he takes wouln't be allowed and the coaches would sit him down....
yeah Curry's not just a three-point shooter not only that if he plays in the earlier errors with a mid-range jumper matters he'll dominate mid-range easily

The salary is why many players had a second job in the summer. It wasn't that plumbers were playing basketball, it's that professional players had to get additional employment all the while having to maintain a certain level of fitness and basketball ability.
I bet it’s the coach’s game plan that makes them shoot less 3s. If no plays are made for Steph to shoot a 3, he probably only does it late in the shot clock or before a quarter ends
I thought it might be that 2k just lowers 3pt tendency across the board by some amount the further back you go. That would be a really easy algorithm to do and tendencies pretty much dictate everything about how the AI plays and simulates players.
