This was perfect. Even if it’s not the same type or brand of scale. I purchase one from Amazon and the instructions were unclear. So this really helped…Thank you! 😅
A few days ago I bought a Taylor digital kitchen scale at Target. One can measure using lbs/ozs, grams, fluid ozs, or milliliters. I found the lbs/ozs display difficult to understand. It's got 0: to the far left of the display screen and at the far right 0.00 lbs/oz. To me, I interpreted the lbs/oz was at the far right; I didn't know what the 0: at the left was for. The instructions that came with the scale had no information on how to actually read the scale. Apparently, the manufacturer assumed everyone would know. I had a 40 lb. bag of horse feed that needed to be divided into 2.8 lb. ziplock bags. I measured it out to 2.80 reading on the far right. As I continued to fill bags, I realized that it couldn't be correct. I googled how to read a digital kitchen scale and came across this RUclips site. This demo unfortunately does not explain how to actually read the digital display. I also discovered I was not the only one who was confused as to how to read the lbs/ozs display. However, it was either one of the comments here or on another site that someone suggested converting lbs to grams (1 lb. - 453.592 gm) and use the gram option on the scale. I did that and then switched to the lbs/ozs display which showed that one lb. on the lbs/ozs display reads as 1: (far left) 0.00 (far right).
Has anyone found out how to turn it off? Something SO damn simple that everyone would need to know, somehow isn't addressed or easily found on the device. DUMB!
i accidently calibrated it falsely while cleaning it. How can i recalibrate it? hahahaha help pls soneone. Its gotta be some combination from the 2 touch buttons, but every time i hold the Power/Tare button, it turns off. Unit Button smh doesnt do anything.😥😥
I would have liked to see how to weight 1 pound of ground meat. Then how to weight 4 ounces of ground meat for a burger. I can't figure out how to read the display for what I need. I am so sorry I ever bought the electronic scale. It's to confusing for me.
Convert the pound and oz to grams. 1 pound is 454 grams. 4oz is 113 grams. So you need to just start with adding upto 454 grams of ground meat and then remove till it is 113 grams Pr start with a new weighing for each burger. Hope this helps. Also, have another video that explains it better.
@@sandiageorge6995 - Thank you for trying to help. I'm almost 70 yrs old & this gram stuff is real confusing for me. I'm lucky if I remember why I entered a room. LOLOL So even if I figure out what you're trying to teach me on just one batch of burgers, and even if I write it down, buy the time I go to make another batch, I'll forget where I put my notes! I hate old age. God Bless you for trying to help.
@@sandiageorge6995 - P.S. I think I'll stick your "logical "instructions to the fridge with a magnet. I just hope that I don't forget to look at the fridge, which I've done before. LOLOL Wish me luck!
This was super helpful, specifically the bit about the tare button being the power button. Thanks!

thanks didnt know how to use the scale very well i think this video now will help me
Omg , you saved My life
I love you
I have it set to LB:OZ. So if the display reads 0: 0.5 isn’t that 1/2 of an ounce and 0: 1.0 would be 1 ounce?
Frustrating that they don't get into that detail isn't it? I'm looking for this too.
Still looking

How to switch off the scale self

Great product review!!!Nice tips for using a kitchen scale!!
Would be nice to know how to turn the darned thing off.
Usually you just hold down the power button for a few seconds.
Returning this, never registered from the moment we opened the pack. All stayed at 0.00
Scale is decalibrated. It says that 1 kg sugar is more than 5kg.
If the amount isn't accurate between lbs/kilos, why is that?
Thnks w lot
