This anthem hits deep. During the protests I have learnt and interpreted a lot of struggle songs of which carry powerful messages and strange enough still apply to current situations. This shows that the struggle is still being fought for.
This should be a continental anthem. The words resonate strongly with all our brothers and sisters across the continent. This particular version is sad; a reflection of the plight of our beautiful continent in the hands of those who have no love for it.

This hymn was originally composed in 1897 by Enoch Sontonga, a Xhosa clergyman at a Methodist mission school near Johannesburg.
You can really hear that this song was composed by someone with a broken heart..!!! Touching
"They thought they were burying us, but they didn't know we are seeds"
Greetings from Kenya! I don't recognize the colonial boundaries.. We're all African brothers and sisters.

Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika
I used to sing "Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika" to my little one as a lullaby.
"Noma sekunzima emhlabeni sihlukunyezwa kabuhlungu nkosi siph'amandla wokunqoba silwe noSathane." Yooh lengoma!
