Im doing some shadow work to get honest with myself about my anger, hurt, ugly feelings that I’ve denied even having my whole 53 years. It isn’t even about telling anyone or involving others, it’s just time for me to be authentic and recognize I’ve been hurt, sad, grieving, betrayed, suffered loss, and all of that makes me human. Im human. Im allowed to expand my feelings and “go there”. My intention is to embrace my humanness. ❤

My intention for the year is to embrace uncertainty, and my one word for the year is Action.
To step out of my comfort zone. To stop hiding in the safety of my little introvert cave and step into my power. To finally start taking the steps to healing that I've been talking about for so long, but haven't yet done. 🙏🙏 2024 is a big year for us all as a collective, I feel. Change is on the horizon.

My intentiom at the beginning of this year was "reconnection". I've felt so lost in 2023 and wanted to connect to my old self again, the me between the age of 20 - 25. This month I found out I slowly started to shift my intention to "play". I realized that by playing (from a snowballfight with others in the snow to booking upcoming trips and getting hyped about it) I started to feel the freedom I used to feel before life became so weird.
So this year, I'm approaching everything, new and old, with a playful and curious behaviour. Get out of my comfort zone, make new friends, connect with old friends, do new things, etc. And do it with the playfullness of a child, with the wonder a child would feel. It already made January such a good month ❤
I feel like a heavy weight is slowly lifting from me. I start to feel like my old self more and more: the one who didn't take life too seriously and would go with the flow and enjoy the process more than the outcome. I feel much less stress on almost EVERY aspect of my life, and this within a few weeks time!
So yes, I shifted my intention to "play". Big words as "freedom" and "reconnection" and even "prioritizing myself" will come after I've mastered play again! 😊

All of this is so spot on, Sky! One thing I will add that I absolutely can't overlook in my own endeavors is self-celebration! Really allowing myself to be proud and excited for myself when I accomplish even the smallest tasks towards my intentions.
The 'word' is a game changer. My word for 2024 is 'joy' finding my joy and releasing energetic blocks of what could be my joy. I spent so long working on everyone else's joy that i forgot to work on my own. Here I am at 42, FINALLY giving myself permission to say YES to my JOY!

This is all so true. As a senior I get free membership to 24-hour gyms, rec centers and other membership gyms. My 2024 new year's resolution was to work out every day at the gym. But so far not once yet 😔. Just checked out HOLOS on Costa Rica and love it. You are so lucky to be there. I love the word excitement as your intention. My intention will be "joy".
My intention for 2024 is peace. I’ve been living my life for everyone else rather than myself and helping them through their hardships. This video is absolutely amazing Sky! I've set goals but would always feel anxious to accomplish them & would feel like I was going to miss the mark, leading to anxiety, pushing & burnout. This method feels right, gentle but focused + allows room for my intuition to guide me as well, rather than what my mind (or goals) say I 'should' do so thank you again. My intention is the word clear. At the start of this year I am continuing a process of clearing out physical and mental clutter and distracting actions. Being clear to me includes being focused at work, with my mind clear from distractions for certain hours of the day, so that I can earn money to support myself which I need to do. I aim to advance towards clean eating with real foods and ingredients, and most importantly a clear mind, so that I may be balanced and act rightly in life, and develop a clear channel to the divine. By the end of the year I intend to have strengthened my intuitive abilities. Thank you so much for this video!

Presence & Action is my mantra for the year! I chose around New Year’s Day.
If it feels too much I’m going to focus on Presence. I love that you called out the aspects of new year resolutions that both make them cringey for some people, unattainable for others, yet arguably work well for a small portion of us. Thanks for showing a different mindset option 😉🙏🏼

I haven't had time for a New Year's resolution yet, but I think it is important to clearly formulate the goals. I've been practicing this since 2000, and one thing is certain: short-term and long-term goals are equally important. Sometimes in the big work we forget a goal, and after 2-3-4-5 years we realize that we have the result.
Fortunately, a few things have been part of my life for several years/decades, and there is no need to invent new things. Dance, sports, gardening communities, health and science.
I have also been interested in the topic of sustainability for a long time, and it would be good to make a documentary about what the reality is and who uses the concept of sustainability purely for populist political/marketing purposes.

My intention for this year is to get healthy, mind body and soul. The three have been out of alignment for a long time. I think when I feel healthy in one aspect, the others suffer. I’ve been meditating daily, practicing gratitude, using hypnosis as a tool to dig deeper in my sub consciousness. Eating well, and connecting to my body and how it moves and the battles it has fought to get me to where I am and where it’s capable of getting me to this time next year. For the first time in my life I’m doing this for me and me alone and I’m at service to myself. I’m slowly becoming the person I’ve wanted to be for a long time but have been so self deprecating to step into. Show up, be strong, be consistent. That’s brave. Her definition of being in integrity is being the most authentic version of yourself. It's being in tune with your own inner truth and living in alignment with it to your highest ability.

TWIN SOUL REUNION. 3 words that can also be simplified into just REUNION. From Duality to Unity (Trinity). From Separation to Wholeness. This has always been the main PURPOSE of my life and since I made that commitment I feel HER closer and closer. This is the year. There is no more holding back. Self-awareness can’t be taught, in my experience. It was more circumstances than anything else that created the conditions in which I learned and gained self-awareness. It’s extremely hard work maintaining and improving it, but worth every minute. I’ve learned to take this as seriously as I do because my happiness is dependent on it.

I unknowingly followed a similar formula last year. I signed up to a charity run last January. Having never run before I signed up to couch to 5k. My intention would be 'I want to run a 5k' . My embodied identity would be that I am confident and am a runner, I became this person by getting running gear and becoming the part. Accountability was that I was posting on my social media each week after each run until the race day. A whole year later and I'm still running and still enjoying it. If it had been a new years resolution I would have given up after a month. Not sure what this years intentions are, I'm thinking 'exploration' perhaps. I want to explore different aspects of my life, I want to explore spirituality, to meet new interesting people, to explore new places and to be confident in doing so. I think this is something I will further explore.

My word is going to be performance. I used to be a busker and perform all the time and as that part of me has slipped from my life I am less happy. I also want to set up a business that gets people singing together so that would apply to that as well. Great video! I didn't bother with a new years resolution because I know I never follow through with it so this is a great way to get a new focus.

Thank you!! Honestly it’s just the jungle hair I think 😂 it gets so thick in the moisture here. But I use a rosemary scalp oil and just eating super healthy whole foods, not washing it a lot ☺️

I have dreams/wishes/a mission for a while now. And I decided to have a transformation each month, which flowed into every week,
which came to… as this year started, a daily-gratitude-video-message to my best friend each morning, and he sends one to me.
From that sparked my own YTchannel idea!
Daily a video of me sharing 3 gratitudes with the world, to inspire people to consistently take a moment for yourself.
For a kickstart, a concious stepping out of the ratrace, a chance to reflect. Whatever it gives you.

my 'new years resolution' was to go vegetarian/plant based and im on the path towards that all because I manifested it with my entire being and its working.
If this doesn't work out for you, also consider the break down around minute 6 of the video.
Resolutions fail because they are too ambitious, too vague, and have no action plan.
So, to develop a goal that works, make it achievable, specific, and have a plan that you can do. Also, bro tip, make it time bound.
Not "I'm going to exercise more", instead "I'm going to walk 10 minutes per day 3 times per week until the summer solstice."
Great advice! I have also experienced setting "SMART" goals and not having them come to life. For me, this method has supported me so much.
