Hello description readers, welcome to my first video! This one is about Nick Jr./Noggin, the history of its shows and the channel’s overall evolution. I know this has been done quite a few times, but I decided to make my own as the ones I saw are either outdated or excluding some shows. Oh yeah, sorry if the quality is bad, it’s just that the better quality options took too long to export. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
NOTE I FORGOT TO PUT IN THE VIDEO: Some shows like LazyTown and Dino Dan got new episodes even after their end dates here. Those episodes were made when the shows moved to other channels though, so it wouldn’t make sense to put the dates that don’t apply to Nick Jr. in here. Hope you understand!

I grew up with this program most of my childhood. Even my next door neighbors kept there mail box panted like the one from blues clues for a couple of years
I used to watch Shimmer and Shine but it's canceled and I remember it.

Out of all the nick Jr shows that were shown, the ones that I mainly like are Max & Ruby, the Backyardigans (which those two I mainly keep and watch on DVD), ni Hao Kai-lan (five episodes), sort of bubble guppies, butterbean’s cafe (ten segment episodes), Abby Hatcher (twelve segment episodes) and corn and peg (fourteen segment episodes).
Those are all my kids' favorites too. (exept for Ni Hao, Kai Lan and The Backyardigans cause they never watched those two shows)

I remember watching Wow Wow Wubbzy, Wonder Pets, Team Umizoomi, Ni hao Kai-Lan, Yo Gabba Gabba, Backyardigans, etc. in 2014 as an 8 year old.
These days my little siblings are watching Bluey, not that it’s a bad show, but they will never experience the shows I watched.
I like Bluey slightly better, but all those shows brought more happiness in my life.
From around 2008 to 2013 was my entire childhood

Loved how when Blues Clues ends, sad music plays. Pretty sure everyone was sad about that. I know I was.
Fun fact: Maisy, Franklin, Maggie, Little Bear, and Ms Spider were all moved down to Qubo.

He missed bob the builder and that was moved to Qubo but after it was discontinued it got it’s own tv network in North Carolina, specifically Virginia dare trail

@@8boll767no, people didn’t get scared when Qubo shut down in 2021, inspector gadget was the last show to air on qubo. Some shows got moved down to Pluto, some of which only air at like, 12 AM or something, here are the shows: Maggie, Bob, and Ms spider.

But anyways I have a question. I could have the wrong channel but I remember there was a show made by the same creators of peppa pig that aired for like one season or something. Was that nick jr or some other channel?

A lot kept going till 2012 like Maggie, miss spider, jacks big music show, Gullah Gullah island, the upside down show, wubbzy, and oobi, and that’s pretty much it

For me, when I was watching Nick Jr in 2014-2015 it was going well until someone of my favorite shows canceled in late 2015, but It was still good in 2016 but more was canceled in late 2016 then in early 2017 the all of it was canceled, but I kept watching until 2021 😢😢😢😢😢

I’m surprised they still do THE BLOCK!! They have a channel for it, the block should go. I even tweeted them that.
True.. So Nickelodeon can have time to air other shows besides SpongeBob, The Loud House, and the Casagrandes. I love SpongeBob but sometimes it can get a little tiring after a while

Nickelodeon knew they messed up with cancelling some of those shows so they tried to bring them back but it flopped
I recently was introduced to The Backyardigans in 2021. I literally loved it and still love it today! Sad to see it cancelled in 2013.

I truly believe that Paw Patrol saved Nick Jr from becoming *shallow and pointless* in the early 2010s.

The 2000s were the Golden age of Nick jr. I love all those shows growing up and I still do. But even back then, there was still some pretty Bad ones (like Peppa pig).
And Paw Patrol looked like it had a lot going for when it first came out in 2013. (And it made a hell of a lot of money for nickelodeon)
(Just because I LOVE Paw Patrol doesn't mean I HATE all the other shows from the past, you Idiot).
As a kid I mostly watched the only ones like Little bear. I stopped recognizing the shows after Shimmer and Shine

I'm 15 too and I still watch old 2000s Noggin shows on RUclips with no shame about it, lol. It sucks they had to dumb down their shows now because their audience doesn't learn nothing from it anymore, so I'm annoyed every time my sister thinks the things they show in the shows now are important like friendship. Times change and I hate it! Sigh...

Other shows I watched growing up besides lots of Mutt & Stuff were: Some Dino Dan, Some Yo Gabba Gabba, and definitely SOME Wallykazam, followed by Lots of Dora the Explorer, Lots of Peppa Pig, Lots of Bubble Guppies, and LOTS of Team Umizoomi (which will forever give Me my childhood nightmares every time I listen to the Theme Song)

I loved watching Nick Jr and Playhouse Disney shows when I was a kid.
I watched wow wow wubbzy in 2006 when I was little and when I was 11 or 9 in 2015 i forgot I got my first computer and started watching it again to bring back my 2006 childhood
i think i watched Nick Jr from 2009-2013. the late 2000s and very early 2010s must have been an absolute golden era with all these iconic shows, like Wonder Pets, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Yo Gabba Gabba, Ni Hao Kai Lan, Olivia, Fresh Beat Band, Dino Dan, TEAM UMI ZOOMI, Bubble Guppies, and Moose and Zee being the mascots
2013 was when i started getting bored of Nick Jr with Peter Rabbit and Lalaloopsy and _barfs_ Paw Patrol. by 2014 i firmly stopped watching, though some shows did mildly interest me and i'd try to watch 1 episode of them here and there (Dora and Friends, Fresh Beat Band of Spies, Shimmer and Shine)
2016-2018 looks like a dark era because lots of iconic shows ended, and the few shows that did debut don't seem to show very much promise. Blues Clues & You looks cool though

I stopped watching Nick Jr in 2017 because of all the new things that happened that year but returned to watching Nick Jr 2 years later around the time Blue’s Clues and You! aired because of nostalgia.

From my daughter Maria: Ha! Ryan's Mystery Playdate is my favorite Nick Jr. show and Ryan is also my favorite RUclipsr! But if you think I'm 5, 4 or 3 years old, no, I'm 8 years old but I love Ryan!
When I was very young, my grandma had special Dora the Explorer birthday discs made for me and my two brothers. And guess what, when I got older, I realized that throughout the episode on my disc, Dora pronounced my first name wrong many times. I get it that Dora is Spanish in all and my first name is Italian but my first name isn’t that hard to say and I’m kinda strict about how my name is pronounced (over the past two years, I’ve learned to laugh it off because everyone makes mistakes) Other than complaining about Dora mispronouncing my name, that disc is a part of my golden childhood and something I’ll keep in my childhood memories.

At some point there was Thomas and Friends.or as my counsins call it (Thomas the Choo Choo train. Teletubbies was also on at a certain time as well. My counsins who are 3 and 5 watched that on Nick jr as well.I loved noggin. I started out with Pbs kids and playhouse disney. But I quickley died out of Playhouse. I started watching Noggin at around 3 and half. I loved it. It was sad days when they took off blues clues.
When i was watching Nick Jr in 2014-2015 it was going well until some of my favorite shows were canceled in late 2015, but it was still good in 2016, but the more was canceled in late 2016 then in early 2017, then all of it was canceled, but i kept watching until 2021 😢😢😢😢😢
You forgot something. In March 2018, Nick Jr went through a serious rebrand, causing the channel to have a completely different art style, and the block name changed to “Nick Jr on Nick”. However the name was quickly reverted back after just 3 months for unknown reasons.
He's not going over the rebrands.

On 4:18, I kept thinking I'm not sure if Little Bear was supposed to officially end on November 7, 2003 to make it true. On the Noggin app, it said that it was supposed to end on June 2001 I think. I don't know why but this has always been confusing for a long time.
