Hi guys, gunsmith who's worked in ye olde local gun shop before (US Navy small arms/crew served weapons instructor and armorer as well for whatever that's worth); this is by far the best "budget" gun you can possibly buy, very impressed with it and Taurus righting their ship recently. Stay safe!
Solid Review no funny business straight to the point , crazy amount of information . I will Subscribe and watch this channel hit the Million Subscribers by this time next year .
Great review as always. Taurus could steal the market with a shorter stroke trigger. No idea why they think the break should be against the rear of the trigger guard. Makes it tough for big hands. Second strike aint worth it. 50 years of shooting 9mm I never had a round that required a 2nd strike. G2C and G3C are great values.
The G Series a good quality and reliable guns. But Taurus wasn't always that good with quality control. But they have definitely stepped it up with the g series.
@@tokenlovingood i have even the old versions of taurus and love em i think the ones youve heard are just black propaganda's , you know how we always say sht bout product other race make, but the G series claiming they are U.S.A made but they are definitely not we tend to say are good
@@floydblack7115They're assembled in Georgia now so I'm sure they're inspecting all the parts that they get from Brazil. The rest of what you said is just stupid.
Great review, I have a g2c several months many rounds through it absolutely love it just picked up the G3 that looks identical gold on bottom black on top haven't shot it yet looking forward to it
Thanks for the compliment! The Dagger is definitely on the list of future reviews. It might be a while because I still have the PDP, the 856, and this G3 to get through 500 round reviews of and I'm not monetized so everything is out of pocket 😅
they sell that thing here in philippines for around $550-$600 . registration process can go from 1 month - 3 months and price can go up if you wanted the gun be released in just few days .
Hmm, that must be a change that Taurus has implemented. I just double-checked mine and it's definitely polymer...I pulled back the spring and checked all the parts of it. Thanks for watching!
To me no safety on a gun = less safe. God forbid if someone is able to wrestle your weapon away from you, with no safety everyone knows how to pull a trigger but no everyone knows how to disengage a safety. But that is my personal opinion and I respect yours. That said I have this exact gun on layaway. Some g3's I have seen have a slightly different, bigger back sight. The back sight on this one leaves no option to adjust for elevation and that bothers me. Hopefully they are all on the mark as far as elevation because if one has to spend more money replacing things on it it becomes not such a good deal
Get the newer version with the better sights. The steel sight on the old version makes adding a red dot a pain, and if you are not looking for a red dot the newer versions sights are still better.
Correct, there's not one that pops up or anything. The chamber indicator is just the witness hole at the base of the barrel where you can see the casing if there's one there. Thanks for watching!
Personally I prefer it that way. I always think in a hypothetical fight if the mag release gets bumped you still have one round you can use, and thats better than having a loaded weapon in your hand but its nonfunctional bc the mag dropped out. Thanks for watching!
Taken right from the manufacturer websites: Barrel length - Glock 19: 4.02" . Taurus G3: 4.00" . That's a 0.02" difference, about as thick as 5 sheets of paper. (Glock 17 is about 0.5" longer at 4.49"). Overall length - Glock 19: 7.36". Taurus G3: 7.28". Less than 0.1" difference. (Glock 17 is 0.75" longer at 8.03") Overall height - Glock 19: 5.04". Taurus G3: 5.20" . (Glock 17 is almost 0.5" taller at 5.47") So no, not exactly the size of a G17. Its almost exactly the size of a G19, as stated. Thanks for watching though
@realpracticaltactical Guy edit your video more closely, 2.05 of the video you say it's the size of a glock 17 , you said glock 17 , you said glock 17 get the point listen again 🤔 to what you said, you didn't say glock 19 , you clearly said glock 17 , you made a mistake own it.
Yeah, not a fan of the slide coating. It’s not a huge deal because of the price, but I can literally whack it, lightly, with my knuckle and it leaves a mark lol. There’s a custom shop near my house. Gonna see what the cost is for cerakoting.
It's good against corrosion so far, but yeah it marks up so easily. Cerakote would be a good option; my local smith charges 85 I believe for a slide and they do the stripping and reassembling
@@realpracticaltactical Hmm, gonna need to find a place like that. The one near my house doesn’t do disassembly/re-assembly, but they only charge $45. But since I’ve never fully dissembled a slide before, I’m a little paranoid to try it lol.

Hard to beat that kinda recommendation. Thanks for watching!
Bought my G3 T.O.R.O about a month ago and i absolutely love it!!! Its my EDC now!
Good to hear! I did a TORO conversion on this and added suppressor height sights, and it's been rock solid the whole time

Agree with you about that trigger. I would trade the second strike for a shorter crisper trigger in a heartbeat. Thanks for watching!
Taurus are good quality reliable guns and are priced properly
I have to admit I was one of those people who was really down on Taurus, but recent experiences have really changed my mind. Thanks for watching!

Taurus G3 is great
Thanks for watching!
Nice review I have the Taurus g3. I paid $286.00 plus tax. I’m planning on putting the Taurus th9c on layaway.

It's been great so far, I know you'll love it. Thanks for watching!
Your reviews are some of the clearest table reviews I've seen. Thanks!
And chance you want to compare the G3 to a PSA Dagger?
Thanks for the compliment! The Dagger is definitely on the list of future reviews. It might be a while because I still have the PDP, the 856, and this G3 to get through 500 round reviews of and I'm not monetized so everything is out of pocket 😅
I have the G3TORO and its a great weapon. $350 background check and taxes. I like the safety trigger and the manual safety. Feels and shoots great
I upgraded this to a TORO slide too. Thanks for watching!
The 17 round mag that came with my G3 is a Mecgar mag. I bought a second 17 round mag from Taurus and that is a Mecgar mag too. 🤷
Thanks for the grate review I really like the taurus g3 series they have come a long way in quality 👌
Totally agree! Thanks for watching!

CORRECTION - The Guide Rod is NOT Polimer. It's STEEL.. I've Got the G3 & G3C.. You CANT Beat em for the money. Both work Quite well..

I have the Taurus g3 I’m getting the th9c next.

How about G3 vs SD9VE
Great idea! SD9VE prices are appealing right now (summer 2023) too. I'll put the idea into the queue. Thanks for watching!
I put a little gun oil on the outside of the slide makes a difference

It also doesn’t have the loaded indication mechanism

What about the g3 being able to fired without the mag being in. How do you feel about that?
Personally I prefer it that way. I always think in a hypothetical fight if the mag release gets bumped you still have one round you can use, and thats better than having a loaded weapon in your hand but its nonfunctional bc the mag dropped out. Thanks for watching!
