Actually, they don't do it to push you. Although Istanbul has a large population, its surface area is small and a lot of tourists come due to the exchange rate, so everyone has to be fast. At first you think they are rude, but then you get used to it. When I was living in Istanbul, I was spending 2-3 hours to go somewhere. I was always late somewhere. Now I live in Izmir, the exact opposite of Istanbul, everyone is very calm, very slow, they think a lot when making decisions, people constantly apologize to each other.

Istanbul is a metropolis, chaos prevails because it is very crowded. People aren't pushing you on purpose, it's just too crowded :),
Also, as a Turk, I don't understand this cheesecake thing at all. Although there are dozens of famous desserts in Turkish cuisine, it is very strange that a Spanish dessert is internationally famous in Turkey just because it looks beautiful. :)

Haha, it is like "Banana cake" for breakfast here in Thailand. Tourists think it is Thai thing, but in reality it is only offered by Thai to tourists because they think that Westerners think it is a Thai breakfast. 🙂

@@Son96601 I won't nsay that it never eaten, but definately not as a breakfast. Maybe sometimes for a dessert at lunch/supper, but even that is rare.
