This happens sometimes with combiner teams, where the first one or two figures fall short of the standards of the rest of the team. You can see it a little bit on Tantrum, where the metallic orange is a bit of a mismatch to the rest of the teams glossy red and silver and gold. But Rampage sticks out like a sore thumb with the semigloss red and flat light-orange, not to mention the size difference compared to the others, where he's a smidge larger and blockier in beast mode
I’m sure their sizes were set from the start. But yeah seeing the material improvements over the course of the release really shows just how much money this set was raking in. I also appreciate the fact that later sets included fixes for previous sets.
They should try something like this for Devastator, instead of integrating or partsforming pieces that had to be removed on the original, make those parts into new characters! In particular, the fore arms could be new members and the head can be done by bringing Dirt Boss back from Animated.
Seeing this makes me think it would've been cool to see what could Predaking look line in Legacy someday, now that Thorilla dispite only appearing in Cang Toys' probably my favorite besides Rampage,Headstrong, and Divebomb. Also.. My original TF combiner idea: Titanus Maximalus, who's based on Cang Toys' Predaking. 1. Leo Prime/Lio Convoy - Torso 2. Optimus Primal - Lower half of the Torso 3. Cheetor - Right Arm 4. Airazor - Left Arm 5. Rhinox - Right Leg and 6. Bonecrusher/Big Horn - Left Leg Thoughts?
