Just got the same exact car. I love it. Upgraded from a 2021 S after hitting a deer. As someone mentioned you have the wrong rims but it looks like you got that situation fixed. I love the black accents especially the mirrors.
Nice! Glad to hear you love it also. I’m pleasantly surprised with it. Probably going to purchase an intake soon. The black accents was what sold me. I don’t like the silver on the other models, and really don’t like the red on the GLI
Awesome! So glad to hear it, and thank you for checking it out. I absolutely love GLIs this model I didn’t care for all the red accents though. I was on the fence for the ‘24 GLi or the ‘25 Sport, but I’m very pleased with the MPG
@@TheNerdLogicGarage yeah, it’s funny. I got the Passat for the stick and the MPGs, but when I had to replace it due to a fuel pump that spread metal shavings through the entire fuel system -at 155k miles- I wanted to replace it with the closest experience of torque that I had gotten used to. The GLIhad the stick, the torque, and a sunroof (which I did want). To my surprise I found out after I bought it that it was formerly owned by someone who modified it, including a tune. Alas, the car was so fun to drive, I kept it. Of course the MPGs are a bit lower now. Yes, it can get 35 MPG-but… it has about 320 HP and 350 ft lbs of torque (after the upgraded clutch)…and that is not a recipe for good mileage. Still, if something goes wrong with this car I know exactly what will be replacing it.
I have a 2019 Jetta. I drove it to Atlantic City and back from the Philadelphia 🎉suburbs and got 46 mpg, 80 mph with the air on. An amazing car. My best has been 55 mpg. I paid $16500 new and got a 6 year warranty, thanks to dieselgate. The car zooms, short shifting the 8 speed auto. Not sure if the 1.5 is any better. No cvt thank you. 16" wheels are fine. Thanks for your review, I have been praising my car for 5 years.
Thanks for watching! So far I’ve gotten to a max of 47mpg on cruise control between 80-83mph and the AC on lowest setting. Glad to hear you have similar MPGs. These cars have definitely stepped up their game both aesthetically and economically. I’m excited to have this car and put it through its paces.
@jtc411 Thank you for watching the review first and foremost. Secondly, I made some calls and got in touch with both the dealer and VW corporate, and I’m getting the 17s tomorrow!
I'm pretty sure the 2025 and 2024 sports have similar upgrades compared to the s which included the 17 inch rims, aluminum pedals, limited slip front axle, and a lighter colored headliner
I've heard that the Sport model of Jetta is a bit lower than the other models which is nice. Not sure if it's actually true though, I haven't looked much into it.
Somebody in one of the comments said .06” lol so even if it is you wouldn’t be able to tell. I will say it’s lower than stock Honda civic sport models.. so that’s a plus. lol
So i literally bought a brand new 24’jetta Sport cause of gas mileage and 120mi round trip to Ocala 😂 I used to drive a jeep 😅 but it was a awkward transition but I’ve grown to really like it. Also I’m confused why you sport has 16’s ? Mine came with the 17’ black machined
That’s great that it works out for you. I’ve already had 2 GLis so for another one, and another $10k tacked on top wasn’t what I wanted. Thanks for watching the video. 🤙🏼
No it’s actually quite comfortable. Nothing is really affected by it being a “sport” it’s just got the 17” wheels instead of 16s, black headliner, and black grille/black side mirror caps. It’s more of an appearance package than a performance package.
@@johan_criollo you know I thought I read that somewhere but couldn’t find that info to confirm it. .06 is negligible though, can’t even tell. Maybe half an inch would be noticeable but not .06.
I’ve had multiple Jettas before including a few GLIs and they’re fairly reliable. Much more so than other cars out there. This is a brand new ‘25 so I can’t speak for long term in this specific model but my others I had over 70k miles and no issues. These new ones are so much better looking that the mk5s and mk6s

That’s including the newest model of the GLi and I know that it’s a tribute to the original Jetta GLis I just personally don’t like it on the new ones. I’m not even a fan of the silver accents on the SE and SEL of the 25s. I got this sport because it reminds me of the MKIV Boser hoods and the lightbars on front and back are awesome. Wasn’t much of a review. More of a walk around. Need to know how the NVH/wind noise inside the cabin is. You can tell VW isn’t doing well, the cost cutting is crazy. Going back to the old style key with no push button start? Wild. No physical on the HVAC is annoying. Same setup as the Tiguan which I hated. Tiguan had crazy wind noise at 70 mph inside cabin.
Well I’m not Car & Driver, and I’ve got an actual job. It’s a review from an owners point of view. I guess the newer Tiguans have that issue because my ‘19 didn’t, neither does my ‘23 Atlas. The Jetta is light, but the doors and seals are solid. I drive 80mph for 70+ miles and never have any wind issues or annoying tire noise. Hope that answers your questions. 🤙🏼

Im not playing dumb and it wasn’t for “views” lol just an honest overlook by myself. The dealership says it came from factory like that, but with QC I can’t see that actually happening.
