@@jackson-rq6uwI'm liking the gargoyles's twinblade though. It took me about 4 or 5 tries to beat them with a spirit summon to keep them off me and lobbing rocks at them with meteor, magic boosted physic, magic boost talisman, and an int helmet. I almost beat one of them without the spirit summon the first time but rolled away instead of rolled towards them and got taken out by a follow up.

Cleared all items, bosses and mobs of all three lower areas last week and to be honest I'd just recommend doing Ranni's quest as it takes you to two of them and should you need to visit the third one just let Fia hug you twice in a row to start her quest. Following the path you showed is just very tedious. In addition I find it bad that you're lacking certain map pieces that just openly lie at the start of every section, for a guide you should have those.
I did some digging and it seems you can’t access that part of the river through that entrance. You’re able to make it to the boss that “guards” it but you end up on the ground level of where the Wing of Astel is and there’s no way to climb up to it and open it.
5:31 I laughed so hard that you couldn’t believe, i had loot there just hours ago and I didn’t care for the reward till a i saw s video about how great it is , then i searched it and watched the whole video just to find out I already had looted it
I literally stopped using Moonveil for this after the poise nerf….. the poise damage for the weapon arts is simply awesome. Two times of that and most enemies will be open for a critical.
Actually, ypu can get here from the Ainsel River Well in Liurnia of the Lakes after killing a Golem. Significantly easier than going through boss fights and other regions.
If I'm not wrong, the Ainsel River can be separated in two, the lower level, which as you said can be accessed from the river well with the golem, and the upper level, and that one can only be reached through either Ranni's questline or the way shown in the video. The weapon is reached from the upper level only.
I've been looking for the hole to Nokom the eternal city for a week now 🤣 30 seconds in and I found it thanks I'll be back for the rest of the video in time lol
I'd have to look into it but I thought the other way to get here involved doing a questline that takes just as long or longer. Altenratively I think you can get here from the sewers below the holy city, but that also takes a while.
You can get here without killing Radahn, if you wrong-warp to nokron, pick up the blade that Ranni needs, and then Renni’s Rise is opened and you can warp to Ansel main with the transporter. The way in the vid is waaaaaaaaaaay too long
@@ScottLufkin Wrong warping is a glitch, apparently existed in all souls games before as well. One method has been patched, the easiest method still works as far as I know. You should look it up, speedrunners use this to skip basically everything and go straight into Farum Azula
@Andrew well, your mind about this doesn’t matter, since the speedrun community approves of this (in the any% category), so it counts towards records. There are also glitchless categories, where your point is obviously valid. Also, it’s unclear if this wrong-warp is an actual glitch or not, since it has always existed, and From knows about it. Yet they didn’t patch it recently (except for the wrong warp with the fall). Maybe it’s intended behavior, or they just don’t care since it has zero impact on PvP, only on offline experience.
@@CrunchyFluids The moveset is very bad though for a greatsword and the R2's are incredibly slow. It's probably the worst implementation of the Moonlight Greatsword in a From game. It's strong only in the sense that it has R2 lasers, but the buff takes 3.5 seconds to cast which is an eternity and the sword is not especially strong without it. Listen it gets a lot of hype on RUclips and other places, and if you 100% build to maximize its damage with talismans and whatnot, yes it can hit very hard. But the tradeoff is a complete lack of versatility as you're locked into a terrible moveset and are a bonafide one trick pony. It's just not that good. This isn't a reason not to use it, by any means. But I personally wouldn't classify it as a top tier weapon, better than average, sure. There's just no hiding from the moveset unfortunately, and try firing those lasers on an incline or uneven ground. Abysmal tracking and free aiming. Also, where are you getting that the DMGS buffs your spells from?
I have some graces in the lower section so I thought I didn't have to run through all that, I can get right under the chest but there's no way up without going your way....
That's the Draconic Tree Sentinal armor...you get it in faramazula right before fighting Maliketh, the Draconic Tree Sentinal is guarding the entrance to Maliketh
That’s another part of the Ainsel river, which doesn’t connect to this part. You need to get to Ainsel main, which is only possible with the transporter in Renni’s Rise, or this route ik the video
This is better than the DMGS. The R2's are too slow and the moveset is abysmal. The DS3 version is better. Good luck buffing your sword against another player, you'll get annihilated in the eternity it takes to fire off. And if it drops off against a tougher boss you're fucked.

You don’t have to. I picked this up after beating Morgrot (the end-boss of stormveil castle), and you can even pick this up earlier, since you can unlock the Perfurmer’s Grotto site of grace to wrong-warp, without beating any boss at all.
@@cornykova9902 you can’t access it until beating rahdan, which is mid game. The sword is in nokron upper level which is only accessible through rahdan.
@@Steve.Maverick I haven’t beaten Radahn yet, and I’m wielding the Wing of Astel, picked up the Mimic Tear ashes, and only need to beat Astel in the Lake of Rot to progress Ranni’s questline. You can wrong-warp into upper Nokron by using the Siofra River Bank and Perfurmer’s Grotto site of grace, so you end up in front of the Mimic Tear boss fight, which you can tackle at any level. From there, you can just rush and pick up the item needed to progress Ranni’s questline, unlock Renni’s Rise and transport to Ainsel River.
The starting classes are a base framework, they have no bearing on anything but the beginning of the game. You can build any stats you want. It only matters in a 100% min max sense if you're going to stop at a certain level to focus on PVP.
It's incredibly strong. Really love the part when he forgets to mention about Crucible Knight waiting at the second coffin. Best guide ever 🥴
LMFAO bro said “just find a hole somewhere on the map and teleport there underground”
if you do the Ranni questline, it skips half of these steps,
you can get to the Ainsel River main a lot faster - still have to kill Radahn though
Came here to say this. The portal at the top of Renna's Rise goes directly to the last area.
this skips the gargoyle fight in particular, totally worth it to do this quest lol

Apparently it does disgusting heavy attack damage, since the sword and the magic attack are calculated as separate instances of damage that can stack
All the explosions stack as well. I use it to gib anything with a large hitbox. Can easily hit 2k+ damage in a single attack.
