Because she IS "ten feet tall and bullet-proof" with a super-soul. Nothin' againt Tommy, Gilbey, and Jason but I think they were scared of her; she would have stolen the spotlight EVERY night.
I'll concede to your point, Snowy. It does depend on how you're looking at it. It's cowardly in one aspect, but in the other aspect, it's one of the most difficult instincts to overcome - the need instinct of survival. In a way it balances out. In a way, you're attempting to overcome all of life's hell condensed to one pull of a trigger. So is it the cowardly way out or is it the fastest way to get dealt all the hell of life at once?
Thats kinda funny cause it's a part of what I love about the performance. Shes like shes haunted in the first bit in the calm haunted voice in the beginning. Then the song takes that high beat and it becomes crazy, the song and she expresses the song that way. I've been to one of her concerts and it really gets you moving along with her ;) But of course people have different opinions.
For the most part, I too think they're crappy old people. I feel that way about a lot of "classic" bands and most likely wouldn't walk across the street for a free show. 1. it's ART, 2. She killed the song voice performance wise! 3. Many famous singers would suck at that song.... so give credit my god! 4. She wanted to have a contrast from the start to the end especially considering the artists she's covering in that song. If she was to move in the beggining It would have been detractive to the overall show she was setting the mood the first minute of the song.
Dilana is 1000 times better than Adam Lambert. Lambert tries to act all rock. When i see him i think that he is extremely see through, he has no heart nor soul. he does stuff that are 'ROCK' but when you are a rockstar you make things ROCK. Dilana is so much better. She can sing her soul out without it feeling like its too much. I admit that Lambert does have pipes when he tones shit down. She SCREAMS when its necessary while he SQUEELS while its not. Lambert 'acts' rock. DILANA IS ROCK.

Kurt was amazing. Not only was he able to transform rock from the 80's into the 90's, but he was clairvoyant. He could see into the future of rock. And when he saw this performance, he had no choice but to stop the pain. Thanks, dilana, you killed Kurt with this wretched performance. Her voice doesn't fit the depressing optimism in Nirvana's original. Kurt was twice the musician this very manly sounding woman will ever be.
she does have an original called supersoul which is pretty good.
Some of the other singers have orginals too and theyre really good too.
