SENIAC YOU FOOL!! To solve the high rent problem create small zoning like 2/2 or 3/3 and zone it with low rent housing. I don't really know if this will be a permanent solution but it will be a solution nonetheless. Maybe create low rent housing near the university because students would live there , i don't know if the game is that realistic yet 😅 but it looks cool but make sure the zoning is not large make it as small as possible and you have to do each one individually.... I know it's a pain but it's worth it. Make sure to designate large and proper areas. @SeniacTWO when it comes to upgrading roads, if you turn off just the cell length snapping but keep on geometry then you can get it centered rather than having to pick a side of the road

I do wish you placed the metro station at the bus station directly so it felt like one hub station, i also wish you had placed the station right on the university campus i know its not that far but i feel like those are two examples of potential high volume stations, and could be end points for lines! If you had intercity bus lines to that bus station with the metro stop right there i bet it would get A TON of use even just for people moving in! :) im all for subway line overkill though lol I really hope after they finish, addressing all of the performance issues and other visual issues like snow, not accumulating on the road, I hope they work on Sim interaction. For example, I want to see them deliver things to the door on the post office, or see someone get in the ambulance, or for these yards it would be cool if they have the workers actually working on the train so all the tracks have a purpose. At this point in the game clearly they have other things they need to work on so the game is playable at all, like transport fever 2 as the game progresses and they continue to make it more efficient. It would be nice to see those small details Incorporated. It would be cool if the trains actually parked on the spare lines instead of spawning randomly. it could also be cool if there’s high crime that are train might have graffiti on it and need to be cleaned, another cool idea would be to have vehicle maintenance be a factor with how often the train needs to return to the depot.
workaround on those electrical bottlenecks can be to place a substation in other side/part of town by road and power it by highpower cables.. then i been able to route power around and stop bottlenecking
The height of the subway stations are -20m I believe and you were laying track at -30m. That is why your tracks were not lining up and the ones you did line up had a slope to them.
Enjoying watching your videos. About your subway/Metro.. Remember that your subway/Metro should also be able to go back to where they spawn (for service). You put oneway track only out. But Metro/Subway can't go back.. If you make city zones you can ban heavy trafic. Maybe that will eese the trafic
Tornadoes seldom hit urban downtowns in real life. The skyscrapers disrupt the airflow. If you think about it, most tornado destruction footage you've ever seen is in small rural towns, right?
Tornado was the opportunity to create 6 lane roads in the high density building area. Anyways the high density building areas can't be supported with 2 or 4 lanes, and unground parkings should utilised for the entire blocks which means several of them.
you realky should minimize highway into major road reliance, why do all the cars have to enter and exit from one point, please make cars able to flow into parts of the city more freely
I agree. One help is to be on information mode for transportation, uncheck all the buildings, vehicles, networks etc you don't want to see and things become much clearer. But yeah. Underground mode is hell.

You need to make those streets wider in the downtown area. Preferably six lane or eight lane roads.

I think you need to disable parking on some of your main roads, its really stopping some of the roads flowing.
