I am confused about how you are sticking to 8 hours of eating window when you start your dinner time at the end of the 8 hours. (9-5 and you eat at 5).

Thank you so much for these videos Jennifer! I have put on a lot of weight in the last few years and was feeling very overwhelmed with all of the different diets! I especially felt this way because I already struggle with meal planning and staying on budget while feeding my 4 kids! I love that you have shown eating “regular” food in reasonable portions within your eating window. It feels so doable!! I’ve been at it for about a week and am feeling so encouraged!

Your food looks so good. I'm so happy your father is on the mend. What a praise!
I've been intermittent fasting since May and I've lost a total of 19 pounds. My window is shorter due to a slow metabolism. I usually go with a 18:6 to a 20:4. I'm amazed at my energy. I never realized I struggled with chronic fatigue until I started IF. I'll be doing this for the rest of my life. Thank you for the encouraging videos that planted the seed and changed my life.

So happy to hear your Dad is getting better quickly. Wonderful to see how you adapt so naturally and stay calm. Good for you.
We always eat dinner at 5pm, always have, so that helps. I sometimes go 15 hours, some times 16. Then there are the shopping days in which I can go 20 hrs. Just depends if I stay busy. Weight exercising helps tremendously. Do that before I eat in the morning. Still trying to get a schedule, I think that would better.

I started intermittent fasting in June in combination with Keto and going to the gym. Overall, as of this morning, I’ve lost 51 pounds. It did take some adjusting as I don’t eat my first meal until 11:00 and my last meal ends as 7:00 but now, it’s become second nature. So glad to hear your father is recovering well!

Intermittent fasting has been great for me! I'm a snacker and an emotional eater, And this has helped me identify true hunger and manage my eating. I do 16/8 and I find it very easy. It has helped me lose the weight I've been hoping to lose! I'm not too strict with it- if for some reason I'm truly hungry on a given day then I don't worry about sticking to the timetable.

So happy to hear the great news about your dad! I have a question regarding IF. I've been doing it now for about 6 weeks. My weight has fluctuated 5 lbs according to my scale (which may or may not be accurate). Some days I'm down 2 lbs the next up 3 lbs from my original weight. I'm plant-based and eat a very healthy diet. My doctor and I are still trying to get my thyroid healthy but I can't understand how I haven't lost more weight. I also work out 3 mornings a week. I've read many comments on here and it seems like everyone is losing. I'm definitely going to continue IF for the other benefits but I am very frustrated. BTW - I'm about to turn 60😱

When things have gotten extra busy or stressful or out of whack, IF has reduced stress (fewer decisions, less work) and has provided extra energy and mental calmness and clarity. It gives me less to think about, not more. I also don't worry too much about what I eat in my window -- and I usually want both sweets and nutrient dense foods. With IF, there's room for both without going overboard or feeling restricted.

Hi Jennifer love your channel - I’m also an avid Francophile. I’ve been watching quite a few videos and podcasts around intermittent fasting specifically lowering insulin levels. There are a number of credible doctors and scientists who strongly advocate the intake of 30-40grams of protein at each meal. Take a look at Drs Ben Birken, Gabrielle Lyon and Peter Attilia’s videos. I have a quiche cooking in the oven as we speak, one of my favourite breakfasts. Love from Sydney Australia.

Hi Jennifer. I am at a loss to know why I can't lose weight even when I mainly eat an 18:6 schedule and always healthy. I have been under enormous amounts of stress for years and I can only presume this is the reason...I also do not have a huge amount of weight to lose...10-20lb. Does anyone else have this problem?

    • @Gryn651
      @Gryn651 2 года назад

Jason Fung addresses this. The amount of food you are eating likely needs to decrease or you may need to play around with your fasting times and intervals. Maybe starting your fast earlier in the day or shifting to 19:5 or having one day where you increase your eating window so your body is confused”; hope that helps.

Jennifer helpful as always! So real and I wish your Father well in his recovery. Can I just ask after your day ‘slipped’ to later eating at night - what did you do the next day? Did you revert to early breakfast (cutting the fast short) or did you breakfast later then eat early to get back into routine (cutting your eating window)? Curious as I would do the latter but wonder how you get back on track yourself. I’m still in weight losing mode having list two stone over the last 12 months. Success entirely down to watching your videos. Thankyou ❤

Thanks for this one Jennifer. I have 3 days a week when I work outside the home very early and I am unable to eat while I work. The other days I am free to craft my own schedule. I have struggled to find a consistent fasting routine. How did you adjust back to an early morning? It would mean not sticking to the 16:8 plan.

I was not aware that your dad is recovering from an accident but happy to hear that he is recovering well. I love your intermittent fasting what you eat in a day updates. My family and I are traveling to England for a vacation this Sunday and my if schedule will change for that time. I am curious to know how you continued with the eating times after day two where you had a later breakfast and dinner. Thank you and lot`s of love, Miriam

Jennifer, I liked your meal ideas. I am happy to hear that your dad continues to improve, the power of prayer! You look much more rested, which is also good news.

My intermittent fasting got destroyed by my unusual schedule, I'm hoping to get back into it in the next few weeks, but no two days are alike so we'll see!

I'm so glad to hear the good report on your dad! Great news! You inspired me to start IF. I just started, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes. :-)
