Well, if you must know, I first heard the cat/table comparison from my math teacher 11 years ago when he was explaining math "logic". I was copying simply him. The fact that another person had the same idea from the 500 000 that have watched this vid so far doesn't surprise me. Biggest redemption arc in gaming history. Love playing it.
Not really. It's got maybe half of what they promised that sold people on it and barely in the way they said it would. When you play it you can feel it's just a bunch of content slapped on top of each other with little rhyme or reason. It took years to get into a playable state. And it's made the the gaming industry complacent with releasing a broken mess that takes 3_ years before it's worth playing. Now when a game releases and it's shit people say "oh but look at No Man's Sky it could get good!" when this game is pretty far from being good. It's passable.

It amazes me how people still think theres lots of planets, even the maker of this.
Theres 255 different planets in total which were copy/pasted trillions of times all with identical hills, decorationsm, animals, resource locations, ships and ship names, EVERYTHING is 255.

A lot of people are saying that the game doesn't work on Windows 10.
The game does work perfectly for Windows 10 on steam, however as of now if you want online features like sharing your creations, you need an origin account created in 2013 or earlier

$80-$100 dollars in Australia for any retail game. Fucking hate this country sometimes.
$60 is the price point. 60 USD is about 80 AUD and 47 British pounds is also 80 USD.. So at 80 dollars you're paying the same as everyone else it's just your dollar is weaker.. But at 100 dollars you're getting ripped off.
madingo02 Precisely my point. EB Games, basically GameStop (it could even be the same company, if I recall correctly), marks up the prices of high-profile releases to astronomical and ridiculously high numbers just because they know people will buy it anyway.
Call Of Duty Ghosts (of all things) still sells at my local EB for $90, I've seen plenty of that over the years in other EB Games stores. Simply because its a big name. Dark Souls III is still $85 ($100 on release day), and the annual Fifa and Madden games sell like cocaine during the Purge.
For pretty much my whole life, I've bought games secondhand at $30-$40, because games and consoles are so terribly expensive here. Top that off with my inherently cautious nature, I've only ever had about 20 or so games throughout my life.
And good luck finding a R4 in Australia unless you're willing to brave the labyrinthine city of Melbourne. There used to be trade stores, too, where you could just take in games you were sick of and trade them for anything at the shop as long as your game worked.
Now, if you want to get a game via trade, you have to go to EB Games, sacrifice two games and then pay at least $20 on top of that to get the one game you want. And that's for a game at DISCOUNT PRICE.
EB Games are con artists, and I hate them despite the fact that I have to love them. Where else am I supposed to buy games? Its fucking Australia, 60% of the population doesn't know the difference between the Gameboy and 3DS.

Another developer might pick up the concept of No Mans Sky and turn it into something as huge as Minecraft. Procedural generation is still in it's infancy and deserves some credit because it's a very complicated subject to get right. That said your parody pretty much nailed all the problems.
Check out Elite Dangerous. It's got the multiplayer stuff.
