Very helpful video. It only took 45 mins from start to finish, including fitting a new head unit. Just a note, the control panel (heating etc) comes off the large plastic fascia so I did not need to undo the metal peg for the heating controls.
A tip for removing the little wire cable connected to the heater controls: Turn the heat setting to full cold. This gives the metal wire the most slack and comes off / fits back easier.
This is an amazing video, thank you so much! I read some other terrible instructions but they didn't mention unclipping the far end of the temperature control wire, so I was trying in vain for ages to detach the green bit near the dash. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video, had to re-watch it a couple of times but found it so helpful when changing ,my radio, would not have been able to do it without you.
If you need the parts they can be bought here - at the moment we are doing free shipping! www.justaudioshop.com/Ford-Fiesta-Triple-Dash-Car-Stereo-Fitting-Kit-Fascia-Panel-Wiring-Aerial_p_86.html
Had two separate attempts at this. The problem I had was in removing the last panel, ie, the one covering the console to the left of the drivers feet. Undid all the screws but it would not come off. Afraid of using force and breaking it. So gave up. Wondering what I am doing wrong.
Had my car put in the garage for repair and unfortunately my radio needed the code on return. Thanks to this video I was able to get the serial on my player. Two screws spare somehow though... oops.
The question is what kind of multimedia device can I fit in there? I want to have those touch screen players everyone is upgrading to but I don't know what are the dimensions...
Right so bare with. I’ve got a mk6 and currently the only option I’ve got when skipping a song, is to open my phone and change it while driving. Is there anything I can buy to essentially give me a ‘skip song’ button option to my car/radio??... (cheap)
I do appreciate that someone went through the trouble to post this but in all seriousness, why does it have to be so annoying to change these things over? I would try this but i'm terrified i'll break something.
This helped me a lot! BUT: i need to know how that red cable (out of Fiesta) is called. I want to install my old Panasonic CQ-DFX683N, but that only has a 14pin connection and doesnt fit with that red one...could you help with this?
Thanks for the video. I am just having problem in unscrewing the panel that has to be removed to remove heater controls. I keep trying but the screw does not come off. Can you please help on this?
I mean ofcourse, you can use other things but they are brilliant because they never scratch the dash board - I'm sure there are other versions of the product under different names but Bojo are the originals.
Hi Thank you for the video I'm hoping I won't need it. I have lost the keycode for my radio and really don't want to have to take all of this off to get the serial number. Is there a better way to get the serial number ? Many Thanks
Hi great video. Can I ask for your advice the heater dial 3rd from the left. Windscreen dial. Mine is just going around and not changing from screen to floor or straight at you it's stuck. When I turn it it seems that it's to loose and just goes around. What do you think the fix solution is would I have to do everything in your video?
+Keir Gill Mine too, but i have so much problems with it. 2002 1.4 16V 80HP After first three months driving it clutch died, after another 2 months one valve stopped working... But if everything works (which is never in my car) than it's really fun to drive, in "sport mode" driving isn't really slow.
Hi, I'm not very car literate so I'm not sure what this means but at 5.50 you said something about barring does this mean only certain stereos will work in the car?
Hi, I have a Ford Fusion 2 (53). The stereo is very similar, I have managed to unhook all the clips etc. I am trying to remove the fascia to replace the stereo. The 3 dials for heating control are attached the same way they are in this fiesta video. I am unsure how I remove the heater matrix cable and the other two cables for the dials, the air conditioning cable too. I can't quite get the plastic fascia to pull away from the dash to get my hands in to reach the cables. Any tips? Thanks
took me 2 hours in total , well happy now , cheers for help , lots screws etc heater plug was hardest to pull of well happy think i damaged my heater selector for windscreen etc who cares thou lol
Glad it helped if you need any parts the kit is here - www.justaudioshop.com/Ford-Fiesta-Triple-Dash-Car-Stereo-Fitting-Kit-Fascia-Panel-Wiring-Aerial_p_86.html
i can get the whole thing dismantled but im struggling to get the actual CD Player out...its getting caught at the bottom on that black plastic thing at the back, any ideas on how to get it out?
Florijan69 420 , Hi man, since you did it I have just a little question: in the video in min 4.01 you can see a little cord to remove. I didnt understand what is used for? What is it? Can I do some damage to the car? Thanks a lot
If i remember correctly this cable controlls speed of Fans. Correct me someone if im wrong. You can brake it but i dont think you will just follow what he does in video. It tooked me 2 hrs to finish. Good luck bro its not that hard as it looks like ^^
I used a screwdriver. It was fine and didn't scratch the dash. There is enough space to use anything vaguely flat to be honest, e.g. a lollipop stick, or maybe even a couple of credit cards taped together.
I have a ford fusion 2 and it's the same cd player are the wires in the back the same if so what would I need to do to get a bluethooth speaker installed?
Im struggling on the part at 4.00 when you unclip the heater cable. On your video it looks loose (the black clip) but on my car its very stiff, should it come free if i pull harder or will it break?
Hey thanks for the video! Does any one know if the Ariel and the clip that attatched onto the tripple stereo is universal and will attatch to a double din fiesta st stereo?
The fitment is the same, hwoever, if you are putting anything other than a triple dash radio in there (a factory one) you may struggle due to the fitments being different
Hi, My car got the same radio but I want to keep it, and just install an USB reader who can be fix with the triple dash and pass through the glove box. Do you think it's possible? ( sorry for my english , french writer.. )
Great video but I have a problem : once I remove the last 4 screws that keep the radio attached to the board, I pull on the radio block and... it's stuck!! I feel a resistance, and I can't find why the radio won't come. It seems to come so easily on the video, but on my car it's like a cable or something is keeping it from going. Has someone already encountered this difficulty? Thanks!
I think I experienced the same thing, did the mod this afternoon. I think it was because I wasn't pulling straight. I just wiggled it a bit and it came out without a problem. There was nothing else holding it in place :)
Julien Schelling I just tried and it was as simple as that! When I removed the screws the radio moved down a little bit and then it was stuck. Thank you man you saved my day!
Hi I've ordered your part for the double din conversion and can't seem to get in contact with you via your website email or by phone. I haven't received any details of when it may turn up or if it has even been shipped. Please could you give me some insight into where it is and how long I will be waiting?
well to all you men who wont try this, ive managed to do this tonight , I only struggled at the bit of putting it back together the green thing behind the heater control on the dash didn't line up right , so will try again tomoro ... any ideas to line it up @ just simple tips?
No, I don't think it will be there either. You may have to go to your owners manual - if not there contact your main dealer and they should be able to supply it.
hi guys, enybody knows: in the video in min 4.01 you can see a little cord to remove. I didnt understand what is used for? What is it? Can I do some damage to the car? Thanks a lot
Here, here, no way I'm doing all that. I've got a cd stuck in the player and it can stay there and I'll listen to the radio instead. besides I'll lose all them screws I know and won't know where to put them all back. Nightmare!
thanks for this pal. you make it look so simple but I just know this will take me hours and alot of swearing. all I need is the code for the stereo so I can get it unlocked after battery was removed during repairs. Anyone know if there's an easier way or indeed if this method will even achieve what I need. cheers
Kieran Hogan Very much appreciated Kieran. Thankfully I worked it out later that day and all is well, it was exactly as you just said. But cheers all the same.
or you could use the cd player thats already in the car i still use CD if you don't want to mess around with an FM transmitter you can put mp3's on a cd
ebay 99p gets u a new code, i had the same issues after replacing battery. u just need the serial number of the radio. 2 buttons of the radio (cant remember which) will get it to you. give it to the ebay seller and they will send u the code. mine now works a treat

Nice one,no messing about video ,taken many older stereos out and seeing this has made me put the job off lol
Thank you so much for this video, had to re-watch it a couple of times but found it so helpful when changing ,my radio, would not have been able to do it without you.
Thank you for your video! You are the best! My uncle have this car and I like to substitute the Radio! thank you
Great video and still relevant in 2021
Thank you very much, mate! I installed a new radio in the car in about 3-4 hours. Awesome! :)
what an akward design by Ford! why do they make it so akward and complicated
excelent vid only thing i would say is that the screw down by the clutch pedal on the pannel for the heater control is a pop of clip doesnt unscrew
Thanks man. Probably just saved me a couple of hundred bucks.
No problem!
Can I fit an AUX adapter to this radio? I don't want to have to cut the triple dash to fit a standard car stereo, it looks pretty horrible.
Thank You so much. Was getting to be a pig. Now i can finally get the unit out and decipher the code for the four pin code.
Thanks for this good video. It helps me a lot to change the old radio to a new one.
No Problem - We have parts aswell if required at www.justaudioshop.com
Super Video 10 Minuten war ich fertig mit umbauen
Just done this to my car, this video helped a lot,
Thanks ive got it all out now having a mare with the fan direction knob cannot see where to put it back into!
I might try this. . . going to replace the factory front speakers today, and then maybe a headunit when I'm feeling braver. . . thanks for video

Thx justsimpletips. Do all the 2002 fiesta cars have the same letter to get the code for stereo? Save me taking all the dash off Great video

Really helpful video , me and my dad just finished installing my new radio in my car , thanks
this will be very helpful, your so quick with a screw driver lol, I'm useless, hands shake about.

Well done mate. Great job and well emplaned.
I'm having the same problem, where does the fan direction knob go? In to the dial is easy, but can't see where it actually goes in the car.
Thanks
Thanks for the video. I am just having problem in unscrewing the panel that has to be removed to remove heater controls. I keep trying but the screw does not come off. Can you please help on this?
Will this work with the Ford Fusion?
This was a recommended video to watch but there's the cubby on the top of the dash that makes it different.
Hi can you put a aux lead input onto the the factory triple radio.thanks Luke
I mean ofcourse, you can use other things but they are brilliant because they never scratch the dash board - I'm sure there are other versions of the product under different names but Bojo are the originals.

Is this at all possible without the Bojo trim tool? They're very pricey for something i'll use once

What's the measurements of this fascia? Need to know because thinking of purchasing a double din car stereo, thanks.

Shall I disconect the battery first
I know, Unfortunately most new cars are getting harder to remove the radio!
Is there a AUX INPUT anywhere ?
You'll have to purchase a head unit with an AUX in on it. You'll need a converter kit PC2-80-4 to go from Ford's setup to the new Stereo unit
Lee M i know its been a fackin year m8 but buy a fm transmitter its easy an simple
Great video, kept putting it off, but it was a piece of piss in the end. The heater direction control was the fiddly bit imo.
