Was riding in a residential when I had a big German shepherd hustling to cut me off as I’m coming to a stop sign. Before getting to the stop sign I did the slow down then speed up technique taught to me in my riding course. Love this thing!!
Good to see a guy enjoying the Z. Have a '22 black and blue 900. Little jet for under 10k. Smooth, powerful and almost 50 mpg. I ride with a dude on an MT10. They call them empty 10's. Ultimately, downgraded to the mt07 as too much power was making me ride faster everywhere . i feel with the mt07 i found a sweet spot.
@@trailrider1980 the z900 makes a Dyno tested 66 ft lb of torque at 8 k rpm The MT09 makes 63 at 7k, but only for a peak of torque exactly at 7K rpm. I guess the only con with the Z900 is that its does not come stock with an quickshifter. You can only go for an aftermarket quickshifter for this bike. This seems particularly strange considering the MT 09 ( which is the Z900 main competitor) comes stock today with an quickshifter. Having said that this is an supercool bike.

@@ScoutsOut ohh hell yea one of my work mates has a z400 and he made me go out with him and sit on the bike lol good times
@@goldhawke1105 nice, I enjoy the z400 it’s a perfect beginner and still fun for experienced riders
Your constant giggling makes me want a Z900. Giggles are the gauge of fun factor.😁
haha yea man I couldn't stop grinning. I was trying to talk about the bike but I was just having way to much fun lol
thats was the best review i have ever seen on a motobike..if you come to Israel the beers on me..
thanks man I appreciate that L'chaim!
Ended up with this as a first bike. 😅
Haha man is it a blast! Be careful with it and enjoy!
@@ScoutsOut absolutely will be safe! Putting it on power mode!
@@greatgalladehow has it been as a first bike?
@@SWTVENOM not bad I've had fun. I've been more cautious

His ass has more room to play with?
😂😂😂
WTF 😂😂😂😂😂
lol yup, I sure like moving my ass all over the bike
I have seen used z900s at tempting prices 5500-6500. Mt09s hold their value better. I had an mt09 as well but have never ridden the z900... seems like a good bike.
The z900 was fun, tons of great owner. I really want to try an mt09 now or 10
@@ScoutsOut mt09 gets power sooner, its torquier... i sold it and got a 2018 gsxs1000 and that was even faster and very torquey too. Best bike i have owned and my mt09 had custom suspension and full exhaust but the gsxs1000 was more stable and faster while feeling more composed. Ultimately, downgraded to the mt07 as too much power was making me ride faster everywhere . i feel with the mt07 i found a sweet spot.
Makes sense, and probly why I always gravitate to the smaller bikes, I love my r7
@@trailrider1980 the z900 makes a Dyno tested 66 ft lb of torque at 8 k rpm
The MT09 makes 63 at 7k, but only for a peak of torque exactly at 7K rpm.
Everywhere else along the torque (and HP) Dyno curve, the z900 makes more torque and power
www.motorcycle.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/900-nakeds-shootout-torque-dyno.png
This is a different Dyno run but you can see the MT09 can only bests the z900 for about 300 rpm
Yea thats annoying especially knowing its already drive by wire, but guess they are pinching pennies to keep the price reasonable
"The engine takes up every width of this motorcycle." 🤔
Haha yes it does and provides much enjoyment for that size lol
random wrong way driver lol damnit you got me wanting to go buy this bike today lol
Lol yea that was funny, sry bro lol I couldn't get the grin off my face that thing was so much fun
If this came with cruise control and quickshifter id be all over it.
Yea would that be nice!
Fricken really fricken considering buying a fricken z900 fricken motorfrickencycle....
Yes, that was my crutch word for that vid 😞
Had a zx10 years ago like this better
Yea agreed, especially for day to day riding
Terrible review. You should have started with a walk around review before you even rode the machine.
Thanks greg I’ll do that next time bud, happy holidays
