MEMBERSHIP MATTERS LESSON 3
A UNIFYING MEMBER
(Ephesians 4:1-3)
Introduction: Membership is about loving one another,
belonging to one another, and being active in a local congregation.
1. CONSIDER ONE ANOTHER (Hebrews 10:24):
A. It’s about love (Ephesians 1:15-16, 1 Peter 4:8).
B. It’s about good works (Hebrews 10:24, Ephesians 4:1-3).
2. CANCEL THE GOSSIP (Romans 1:29-31):
A. It’s about the tongue (James 3:6).
B. It’s about the talebearer (Proverbs 11:13).
3. COVER THEIR SINS (Proverbs 10:12):
A. It’s about you and God (Matthew 6:14-15).
B. It’s about you and God’s people (Colossians 3:12-13).
