It is personal opinion, we've had the French bed, U-shaped lounge and like the freedom of an island bed, we didn't want singles. But something has to give with the extra bedroom space and it is slightly smaller worktop space. Just bought a Delaware and separate shower away from bathroom, so that is a plus. Not a fan of U-shaped lounges either, so yes, each to their own personal choice. Have viewed many vans and then it's spoiled by a small fridge or three burners.
Wouldn't that rear overhang scrape going up inclines? I would also worry about the rear swing out in tight turns. Fiat running gear puts me off. Nice bed though:-)
Lots of bitching in the comments, we have a 2012 apache and it’s fantastic, build quality is spot on. Very impressed. Has the quality gone down hill after 2012?
Not the van I expected poor quality GPS, faulty electrics (clicking and rear indicators flash when locked need to go back one week later fault we'll known about, tape falling of the pipe under engine compartment wood chipping in lockers, and the manual is worthless spent days trying to get fridge working on gas, sticky tape to swinging arm and rear compartment has ridges to it. TV and GPS take ages before being able to use. MPG 24.5MPG for those wanting this info. Bought from Brownhills Newark don't recommend purchasing from these guys after and before service poor. Bought new 2018
Mi Dean - oh ...this is a very disappointing read - Autotrail used to build a quality product that could take quite a bashing !! - The Apache 700 and Dakota’s for example. The build specification is faster production now to keep the price low- something has give ? 👍
@@grahammartin9223 Our first van was an Elddis Autoquest 180, small tanks and combined shower and loo, not great. But they have upped their game we newer ones, we looked inside an Elddis recently and it was loads better, but it is still a flimsy build quality.
@@chrisscannell5635 We have just traded in our Dakota 2007 for a Delaware 2012. We couldn't fault the Dakota for comfort, but hope that we'll be just as happy with the Delaware. From a female point of view though, the curtains and finish internally are better quality in the Dakota, I don't like the curtains and the locker handles in the Delaware. The Dakota handles are superior by far. I knew someone who bought a brand new Comanche and had nothing but trouble with it from the off.
We've just traded in our Dakota 2007 for a Delaware 2012. I like the Tracker but there were many other features we preferred on the Delaware, but will move to a smaller van in a few years probably. Autotrail have always had problems with doors and handles, we have had to adjust screws on the loo handle and it came off in my hand recently. I think it's down to using too short screws and poor quality doors. But we still love Autotrails.
Very nice review. I can't help thinking that island beds are a huge waste of space in motorhomes but I am only voicing a personal opinion.

You'll be infinitely better off build-quality-wise with a Corado.
Lol iv got one of those. I'm happy with it
Based on what? You have one and of course it must be the best, because that’s what you bought?
you show me nothin!
Problems continue what a waste of money
