All sensing, perceiving,thinking, feeling,imagining, are changing experiences. All changing experiences are illusions. All illusions have no inherent reality in it, but they all seems real, why? It's because consiousness is always there to give reality to all this experiences. We(consciousness) are the Reality that experiences all this Illusions .

They're just stories, but at the same time, we can still play with them - so why not play with a new story that breeds something that moves us closer (in conscious awareness, etc) towards the Creator as opposed to further away from Creator/the illusion of seperateness from Creator. Now I understand why you're called New Realities. Interesting.
If we move from the theoretical to the experiential the picture may become clearer. Mystics have been communicating with each other and with non-physical beings for probably thousands of years. Mother Mary has made countless appearances and has communicated directly with countless devotees. The same with Jesus, Krishna, and many others. We seem to be fixated on space ships for some reason. To me it seems clear that for those who are open and aware, communication with non-physical beings is going on all the time. Also, the higher beings seem to have no problem communicating with humans if they want to. If we invite that to happen, it probably will at some point. Whether extraterrestrials are interested in becoming "physical" beings in order to make themselves known is a question. Why would they go to all that trouble?
Dr. Chopra..., I think your work is beyond brilliant. I've followed you for 30 years or more. I am your age. When you state that everything but the present is a story, I just have one question? When a person is in extreme physical pain, such as one who has late stage pancreatic cancer or one is being tortured, escape from the present is impossible, isn't it? Also, I got a good laugh when you made this observation about Rumi. He preached about silence of the tongue, but he never stopped talking.
I am not the good doctor, but Ramana Maharishi, Ram Dass, many Zen masters and many enlightened sages embraced their suffering. Ajahn Brahm once mentioned how a Buddhist monk upon hearing he has cancer from doctor just plain laughed out. Of course, talk is cheap. The other day a car came crashing onto me headon and I swerved at the last minute. Sure these may be "illusions" but damn they are some damn good illusions which make us test our faith, question God and the Universe to nudge us into Awakening. I for one wouldn't want to be in so much pain in my deathbed no matter how "Good" is the illusion.

It’s interessting to realise that these so called stories mean nothing to one of the two people speaking and rightfully so in my opinion:) These stories as Deepak calls it are just play of senses which can be amusing and fun in their limited nature. Kids show us what we are supposed to do, which is just play because that is one of the paths evolution has carved for us to move forward. Even lightheartedness allows us to uncling and unstuck every moment, which is the dance with the limitless. Think of the laughing maitreya, he knows that all he sees in front of him is just play be it with a certain purpose. The other speaker is seriously focused on looking into popups of the senses as a way to what really? It seems to me that doing the finite while expecting the infinite is a little absurd..The vast majority of Western people seem unable to step out of the prepackaged marketed concept because of a hardwired materialist vision. Unlearning of play is a huge part of Western upbringing and now school system all over the world. So, perhaps the platform of ‘intuition’ would be an appropriate starting ground for re-learning how to jive spontaniously with life, to tap into the limitless nature of everything without that constant grind of thought and conceptlabeling in the background. Also how restricted is it to put anything into word?!Haha anyway, thanks always for sharing mr Chopra!

@@anotheru7858 sure it does... Hitler was powerful and smart but his consciousness was low ( I think he calibrated around 40 on the consciousness scale ) Einstein calibrated at 499, he was also smart and also influenced the world, but in a very different way.
