I also love Ireland too, IM very patriotic no matter how long we have left the emerald isle!!!. Left Ireland, & went to London for 3 yrs. We were blessed to past Haymarket st high commissioner, & was told we had a free passage out to NZ..my husband worked on their farm, & we were lucky as NZ is a real agricultural country!!! Arrived here in 1974 in October. We were given the choice of flying out here, or travel on the Greek ship we took the latter, & had a wonderful voyage on a lovely big ship, with nearly 4000 passengers and crew. Had a brilliant time, with 3 children then thought adrian was ill, as he didn't like the Greek food. But we had a doc on board, who attended to him. He had bleeding gums, with flesh like putty... TG he survived until we reach Auckland port!!!. We docked in loss Palmas in Italy, took a horse & trap into the shops. Then on to Capetown, where there was great unrest there, with a huge crowd in the square staring at us white people... We didn't stay long, & made our way back to the ship!!!. Next stop we had, was in freemantel in Australia. We took the train into Perth, had a lovely time looking at the shops. Then we went onto Melbourne the beaches are so lovely there with white sand so lovely!!!. We were so lucky that we didn't miss our ship, as the horn was blowing load, & we were running. Can you imagine being left behind with only a few pound in our pocket. As much as my roots are deep in Ireland, the decision we made at that time was the very best for educating our children. Yes we had a wonderful life here, & was able to save enough money within 3 yrs to build a house, with a mortgage & a 2nd loan. We have been home many yrs on holidays, up Ireland every time the memories I have growing up there, was simply magic❤ slainte ita Camilla Smith from Oldcastle co Meath. So what, they are Irish artists performing them, some of the greatest, such as Luke Kelly, Finbar Furey etc.
@@elclappington8845 It was a statement of fact, so what.
O Dany Boy?
Cé mhéad teach tábhairne atá i mBaile Átha Cliath amháin?
Furey Brothers?
Love The Fureys and met them a few times
I saw them play Live twice brilliant ⭐️

Willie McBride is not an Irish song, it is Australian written by Australian Eric Bogle. Dennis Moore.
Technically Eric Bogle was Scottish
