He's from Minneapolis, his first big song was "Gampo", but I suggest listening to "Bar Breaker" and dude absolutely kills it on stage too, dude knows how to work a crowd like few others.
My guy is from the powderhorn neighborhood in mpls, MN. In the late 80s early 90s. High murder rate.. Police where also super fucked in that area. Lots of corruption and ass whoopings from them. But he reps his hood hard. And he really didn't have a 1 song that made him. His performance is what makes fans. If you find somthing of his that you like, then your going to love all of his music. All your reviews so far are his faster paced party songs. Which are fire. But when you get into the songs where he really pours himself into, it's going to give you chills. Enjoys your journey down the prof rabbit hole.
Best live shows ever with prof! He was rapping in a blow up kids pool while crowd surfing around the venue. It was very memorable!

I didn't know prof until couple days ago when this squad goals video was an Ad for the video I was watching. I can't believe this guy has been going unknown for almost a decade. He can rap, he can write, and he's a damn creative artist.

So I got woke to him with the song “No” but I have gone back and listened to a lot of his older stuff and you should check out “bar breaker”, Andre the Giant and so many more! He is so real in his live stuff in the hotel. If you want to know his struggle watch flower boy while he is in the hotel. It is very intense.
Prof’s entire catalog is amazing and only gets better as time goes on. His 4 newest songs are possibly the best of his career so far, and if you haven’t yet, check em out.

So glad you liked Prof's song. I recently discovered him. His beats and melodies instantly draw me in. People around me dont seem to appreciate such hard/catchy lyrics. Personally, I cant get enough. Prof's music just puts me in a good mood.

You can go back well over a decade on prof. If you go back to Project Gampo- circa 2007 you can find some classics such as Rocket Man, Gold Teeth, Run Game, and Bubble Up. Fast forward a couple years and you’ll get the Kaiser Von Powderhorn mixtapes (I, II, and III) with such songs as Shoot Shoot Kill, Animal, Rules, Terminator, Me Boi, and Moron. Then King Gampo came out, followed by Liability, Pookie Baby, and Powderhorn Suites. He has a style that is unmatched and is undoubtedly one of the best to ever come out of the twin cities underground scene. Rhymesayers signed him for a while after he opened for Atmosphere and Grieves for several tours. His early stuff is by far my favorite but every album drops fire in one form or another. A live show cannot be missed, the hype is turned up so high, I can’t think of a better live rap act.

Prof...my first listen I was the same way. I couldn't understand what was going on at first, PROF is such a strange mix of sounds and his flow changes up so much...not to mention the videos, his dancing and acting is movie worthy.

one thing no one seems to really gets about this particular video, with the flashback scene, is that there is a rumor Mr Rogers was a war veteran, a navy seal. thats what's goin on there. This video is basically about a bunch of rumors about mr rogers, all of which are false. one was that he was covered in tattoos, one was that he was on a bunch of drugs, and one was that he was a war vet who killed a bunch of people. to say again, all of those rumors are false, in case anyone grew up hearing those like i did.

Check out bar breaker. He's from Minneapolis. He was part of brother Ali's label rhyme sayers what was removed from the label for some reason. Bar breakers a great song, his newest video is hilarious. There's not really any bad songs that he's made.
