I don’t listen to rap but I really like this song. The only other rap song I like is 6 foot 7 foot by insane clown posse. I dunno if I’m retarded or something
@@haydenwilliamson6747 Nah you are only closed minded, because there are tons of good rap songs. Trap songs aren't hip-hop imo. Those are just club songs that have no real substance to them. Underground hip-hop is some of the best music out there.
He's from Minneapolis, his first big song was "Gampo", but I suggest listening to "Bar Breaker" and dude absolutely kills it on stage too, dude knows how to work a crowd like few others.
My guy is from the powderhorn neighborhood in mpls, MN. In the late 80s early 90s. High murder rate.. Police where also super fucked in that area. Lots of corruption and ass whoopings from them. But he reps his hood hard. And he really didn't have a 1 song that made him. His performance is what makes fans. If you find somthing of his that you like, then your going to love all of his music. All your reviews so far are his faster paced party songs. Which are fire. But when you get into the songs where he really pours himself into, it's going to give you chills. Enjoys your journey down the prof rabbit hole.
Mr. Rogers was a war vet that legit brought light to segregation when he brought Mr. Postman on and shared the pool together. In that note i feel like there is an underlying healing tone to using Mr. Rogers. We all need another unifier, like SQUAD GOALS!!!!
I didn't know prof until couple days ago when this squad goals video was an Ad for the video I was watching. I can't believe this guy has been going unknown for almost a decade. He can rap, he can write, and he's a damn creative artist. He's like the very definition of not taking yourself too serious. His songs and videos are hilarious and I've been drinking his shit non stop. Damn where the fuq this guy came from
My son says he sounds like Eminem in most of his songs. My reply was Eminem can rap and he’s mildly funny. Prof is better at both plus has a unique style, can sing his ass off, can dance, produce and who the hell knows what else. My son be trippin and is grounded.
Bar Breaker is a good one from him, with a great video, and a beat produced by Aesop Rock. Chitty Bang is another, recent fire track, and also Light Work
Prof is such an underrated artist I'm glad I see someone covering him and doing a reaction video for his music. Hope to see you cover more and Prof to get the props and Respect he deserves 👉🤛🇨🇦
Prof’s entire catalog is amazing and only gets better as time goes on. His 4 newest songs are possibly the best of his career so far, and if you haven’t yet, check em out. Minneapolis, MN, dude goes hard. And the first song I heard from him was Lightwork. As far as I know that was his first big hit that actually got his name beyond MN, but I could be wrong.
So glad you liked Prof's song. I recently discovered him. His beats and melodies instantly draw me in. People around me dont seem to appreciate such hard/catchy lyrics. Personally, I cant get enough. Prof's music just puts me in a good mood.
The part where he is having a ptsd flashback is pretty much a meme , because his character in the vid looks like/is Mr Rogers and there has been a false rumor circling for a very long time that Mr Rogers was a Navy Seal sniper in Vietnam .
Love me prof!! He is amazing and is so interactive with his fans!! Check out his whole liability album. Gampo, Andre the giant, gasoline. He has so many amazing songs. Such an underrated artist!
I'm glad to see somebody react to this song. This was the first one of his I heard and I was glad to know people were still trying to be themselves in their art.
Prof is from Southside Minneapolis. I've been listening to him for probably 10 years. He's finally getting more play. Powderhorn Suites is top to bottom fire.
So I got woke to him with the song “No” but I have gone back and listened to a lot of his older stuff and you should check out “bar breaker”, Andre the Giant and so many more! He is so real in his live stuff in the hotel. If you want to know his struggle watch flower boy while he is in the hotel. It is very intense.
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣 this reaction had me fucking rolling. I didn't know if you'd like this. I was thinking damn Shaka Shine going to cut my requests off after this one . Great reaction man 🤣🤣💯💯💯
I remember when I first heard prof and laughed and wondered how something so funny sounded so hard. Great reaction, it made me double back and laugh a ton more...
Dude, I just discovered Prof, I LOVE your reaction. You do so much better than the other reactors. You're a great psychological breakdown. New subscriber. 💅
You can go back well over a decade on prof. If you go back to Project Gampo- circa 2007 you can find some classics such as Rocket Man, Gold Teeth, Run Game, and Bubble Up. Fast forward a couple years and you’ll get the Kaiser Von Powderhorn mixtapes (I, II, and III) with such songs as Shoot Shoot Kill, Animal, Rules, Terminator, Me Boi, and Moron. Then King Gampo came out, followed by Liability, Pookie Baby, and Powderhorn Suites. He has a style that is unmatched and is undoubtedly one of the best to ever come out of the twin cities underground scene. Rhymesayers signed him for a while after he opened for Atmosphere and Grieves for several tours. His early stuff is by far my favorite but every album drops fire in one form or another. A live show cannot be missed, the hype is turned up so high, I can’t think of a better live rap act.
The fuck it up line you have to think about it. He said if you could throw it at me i would grab it and fuckit up. That line is so hard delivered smooth.
" my squad goals " ... ( goals I have set for my crew ) Money, boats, planes, weed, women - hoes he is telling you right off where your money for his new album is going . ... [ not to ONLY him - but to his crew as well ]
PROF is the shit! I’ve been listen to him since 2011-12, and I love to see him blowing up and getting the positive notoriety he deserves. Glad he made it onto your radar 🔥
i got stoned and went down a hole of people reacting to Prof, because no one expects it. 90% of the reaction videos start with the reviewer restarting the video and saying "hold up, i wasnt ready for that." in all the videos ive watched today, this is the most thoughtful and knowledgeable "reactor" i've seen. good content, my dude! one thing no one seems to really gets about this particular video, with the flashback scene, is that there is a rumor Mr Rogers was a war veteran, a navy seal. thats what's goin on there. This video is basically about a bunch of rumors about mr rogers, all of which are false. one was that he was covered in tattoos, one was that he was on a bunch of drugs, and one was that he was a war vet who killed a bunch of people. to say again, all of those rumors are false, in case anyone grew up hearing those like i did.
the song that made prof first blow up was probably "Horses In The Ghetto," but "Bar Breaker" is the one that really got him attention. the Bar Breaker video is no longer on youtube, tho, for some reason. If you can find it, do a video on Bar Breaker
Prof has a video of him doing it in person - just not live. It is his own voice and I was surprised to learn that. Also, he ends up accidentally laughing while rapping the song. It's funny.
Check out bar breaker. He's from Minneapolis. He was part of brother Ali's label rhyme sayers what was removed from the label for some reason. Bar breakers a great song, his newest video is hilarious. There's not really any bad songs that he's made.
Prof...my first listen I was the same way. I couldn't understand what was going on at first, PROF is such a strange mix of sounds and his flow changes up so much...not to mention the videos, his dancing and acting is movie worthy.
