Nice! I know you likely think that missing the "n" mora is a big deal, but I (Japanese learner for over 5 years) didn't notice it at all! The "n" mora gets often blended with the neighboring mora, so it ends up not being explicitly pronounced, like in "jibun no"(1:41), "konna"(2:03) and "jibun ni"(2:04), which makes those sound quite natural! My only gripes that I have are that the "R" sounds (ra, ri, ru, re, ro), "wa", and the last "wo" are pronounced incorrectly. the "a" sound in all of the sounds (but especially "wa") is a bit too far "forwards" for Japanese, and they sound like US English "a" as in "back", instead of US English "a" as in "bra" (sometimes, should be ⟨a⟩, though). The last "wo" gets pronounced like "wo", when it really should be the same as "o", like the first "wo" was pronounced. For the "R" sounds, they're weird. the Japanese "R" sounds are some of the hardest sounds we use, and they change in context, so occasionally they sound close enough, like in "nagare"(1:08) and "mawari"(1:30), which can use the voiced alveolar lateral flap ⟨ɺ⟩, like a combination of English "L" and "R", but are quite hilariously incorrect like in "guruguru" (1:14) and "kuro" (2:02), which should use voiced alveolar tap ⟨ɾ⟩, which is like the "tt" sound in "better". Either way, though, good job! I've just been listening to this on repeat while writing this!
i’m attributing most of this to my newbie status using chipspeech. the only reason i mentioned the “n” sounds is cuz i had to explicitly separate them with the previous vowel (“konna” becomes “ko on na”, etc.) otherwise it would be off-beat. but yeah the improper vowels was something i also noticed. i _probably_ could fix it, but i would need to learn how chipspeech syntax works for specific sounds. i guess that’s what happens when you make an english-first TTS program try to speak another language lol
