Hi Greg, great video, different aerial angles and clearly demonstrated what the sea-doo launch control options are. Brilliants and Many thks !

That was fun to watch! While flushing mine today, I hit the throttle to put it in Forward. Then, with 90 seconds to play, trimmed VTS all the way down. The nozzle was aimed down. Then trimmed to the middle position on the display. The nozzle still appeared slightly down. Then all the way up on the display and the nozzle appeared to be straight through as it would be if the ski didn't have VTS. I thought the mid position on the display would be straight through. I've only had the ski four months and 15.6 hours so I'm still getting the feel of it. Thanks for posting this video!

That’s interesting, have you got the RXT? No worries, thanks for tuning in

@@livinginwake I had the RXT X300 triple black ordered. Six months in, the dealer had a FishPro Sport. Wife talked me into it. Three weeks later the RXT arrived. I still might trade up to it. The 170 hp FishPro tops out at 58 mph and is pretty sporty. I want more!

Explorer 170 for me. Looks like a lot of fun but, the maintenance is way higher because of the turbo charger not to mention the fuel.

Regarding trim, i am not sure either but i was told trim up as it lifts the ski out the water and therefore reduces the drag, increasing the speed. Makes sense, not sure which is right but thought id share that info, i think in really flat conditions its probably not as critical.

Makes sense, you might be right there. As you say, flat water, pump will stay engaged, cheers mate

Keep it about even. You might be reducing drag, but you're also limiting the amount of time the impeller is in the water.

Sweet review man! Cool to get a better understanding

Hi - Cheers for the Vid. My understanding is launch control works by automatically adjusting the VTS as the ski speeds up. It starts by setting the VTS all the way down so initially the pump stay in the water then as you accelerate through about 20-30 kph, will raise the VTS back to the position you previously selected. i.e. as N.V mentions you'd want to trim neutral or up to reduce drag at speed by minimising the amount of hull contact. I've noticed when I don't use launch control , in sports mode, my RXT X leaps out of the water and loses 'traction' several time (porpoising). While with Launch control on it stays attached to the lake (Taupo) and gives way better acceleration.

Cheers. I have mucked around a bit since and it does seem to help with trim up a bit. But hard to know if I’m honest as it always seems fast! Hey what’s your top speed on the RX out of interest?
