They Met in a Taxi is a 1936 American comedy film directed by Alfred E. Green and starring Chester Morris, Fay Wray and Raymond Walburn.
A cab driver takes in a young woman who claims to be a reluctant bride, and becomes involved in the search for a stolen necklace.
Fantastic movie. They simply don't make great movies like this anymore. Thank you.
THIS IS THE KIND OF MOVIE I LOVE AND HAPPINESS IS FINDING IT ON U TUBE. AND ON THANKSGIVING DAY! 11--23--2023 AT 6: 49 PM. AND I AM HAPPY. EVEN IF SO HAPPY TO BE ALIVE!!❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Delightful, well written and expertly directed film!!Never saw Fay Wray in anything but King Kong!!Chester Morris was great and Lionel Stander was an excellent character actor!!Thanks for posting!
Wonderful movie. Smart story and script. Excellent acting.
Definitely a Screen Gem! Chester Morris never disappoints - who doesn't love Fay Wray, and a great supporting cast. Pure entertainment. Thank you RS&T.
"never disappoints" (yawn)
What a delightful film. I thoroughly enjoyed, the whole cast and script!!
Could feel the camaraderie, some people who had difficulties in life, stood up for each other.
This was a charming movie!!! Thank you so much for sharing it! Great actors and funny script! I just love these old classics!🌸
Thank you so much for posting this delightful film! I am a fan of Chester Morris - did you know he won an Academy Award Nomination earlier in his career? I had never seen this movie before and wouldn't have had it not been for your generous posting. So thank you again!
Didn’t know that but I love Chester Morris too!
Nominated for Alibi.
So fun! Thank you and for all the wonderful, entertaining films you’ve so generously shared.
Thank you. First time seeing this film. Truley a mystery movie without someone getting killed! And plenty of comedy to go along with it. The actor who played Fingers played a shady character in the Danny Kaye movie, the Kid from Brooklyn or something like that. 😊
What a great Movie !
Fay Wray (WOW!), the Butler from Hart to Hart, and John Wayne's buddy, Ward Bond !
Good luck with all your endeavors. I have enjoyed this channel very much, and appreciate your hard work and dedication. Peace and blessings.
🥰 Thank you 🥰Two movies in one day 🎥🎞 Always good to see two favorites , Fay Wray and Chester Morris 🥰 Thank you for the time and movies you have given us 👍💖❤ Best Wishes 🙏💝❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🤍🖤❤
Wow. Fay Wray was gorgeous! LOVED the close-ups! Just wished that this was a better print but SO grateful that you posted this movie! Thanks.
She was incredible. Her mouth was so scrumptious. Did I mention that she was incredible? Nov. 6, 2023. St. Joseph, MO, USA
Her nickname should've been BACON because she's over there sizzling'....
@@cornbreadthedog King Kong had the same opinion about her!!!😜😛🤪😋
Thoroughly enjoyed this gem 💎
oh oh two lovable idols together
Thank you so much. It is an absolute screen gem.
Fingers is Max from Hart to Hart.(Lionel Standr). this was shortly before he was blacklisted in 1947 (he worked uncredited for several yrs.
Passenger: "I wanna go to the Holy Cross cemetery~ you know a shortcut?"
Cabbie: "Sure- suicide!" (Best line so far and I'm only 3min. in.)
Great one liners.
Thanks for posting.
The one-liners are fantastic, I agree! I wonder if I try them out on people today what would happen! Some of the one-liners would probably get me arrested!😂
Chester Morris was wonderful in this. Everyone was great. I've not seen this before.
27:36 Chester with the Pig Latin! “Falling for your line, like an ump-chay!” 🤣
I love this guy !
What awesome Gem ! Good quality also ! Thank you so very much for sharing! God Bless you and your family 😊❤
What a GREAT film!
The actor that played "Fingers" was in many westerns in the 60's.
I appreciate the films you choose!
⭐⭐THANKS!⭐⭐
Lionel Stander in westerns,think again.
As Keith Harvey says, 'Lionel Stander in westerns? Think again.' **Stander was in a string of films and TV appearances from 1931 onward, a total of 135. Westerns? Naaah. His style was consistent, always slightly gruff and crude. I can tolerate Stander in a movie, but I wouldn't watch it just for him alone.
It's a nice little movie.
Loved it!
Sweet movie. Wonderful channel.
I love all the snappy comebacks and slang! And my man Lionel Stander, always good to see him.
Thank you for bringing these movies. I love everything about them!!
What a convoluted plot, but enjoyable to see Chester Morris as a taxi cab driver 🚕
Super!!!!
Great stuff!!! TY😊
Thanks for posting this Wonderful old movie. I enjoyed it very much. ❤❤❤
A beautiful gem; like the one Fay's character just lifted off you....
LOL. He's a tough guy who's falling for a dizzy dame. Soon he'll stop being allergic to weddings and baby carriages. LOL.
Nice movie, thank you!
early Ward Bond...not credited, at least I didn't see him listed.
Beautiful, beautiful picture, I knew it when I read the title , I enjoyed it all the way, thanks for the download!!!!!! God bless u.
Lionel Stander is playing the sort of part that would be played by Frank Jenks.
Great characters, and story.
Chester morris is a cab driver who takes in a young woman who claims to be a reluctant bride and becomes enmeshed in a search for a stolen necklace!! What a gem ! Chester morris ( Boston blackie) fay Wray ( King Kong) and Lionel stander ( hart to hart) in one movie 🎥! Chester never disappoints! -dames don’t fool me- he says!! Hahaha 😆 😂😂😂!
Exactly! Love them all!
Cute movie
This was a great comedy with smooth acting. I rate this a 9.
Great❤movie!
Thank you😅
This channel is great!
Do you think you could upload Remember Last Night (1935) if you could find it?
Loved this, thank you so much ! Really gorgeous film . / That actor that played Fingers is surely the same as who was in Hart to Hart, about 40 years later, as the 'home-help' man ? Can anyone confirm ? thank you.
Yes, that's him. You can look him up on the IMDb.
What A GEM
I enjoyed this; Thank-You!
Thankyou 🎉
"never disappoints" - I'm so weary of that meme/phrase. Surely there are many other, less worn out ways, of expressing one's admiration?
This one was so much fun to watch!
Fay Ray what a Godess i mean princess❤❤❤❤❤
Fun to see a young Lionel Stander and Fay before she met Kong.
After Kong!
Thank you ❤ 1936 roaming lady , 1938 smashing the spy ring
Do you have a file?
No but I'll keep searching for them.
❤❤🎉
The guy sounds like Bugs Bunny. His regional accent and manner was no doubt taken by Mel Blanc as a model for the cartoon character.
It's mixed identity,my mothere has a son that looks like me 😂
Rate 6.6

Cute movie 🎥 🍿 🍿 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🦩
What is wrong with this woman ? She keeps on throwing everything. Spoiled brat. Also he could have gone out to work no need to gard her. Or he is afraid she will run away and he won't get the 50 bucks ?
Absolutely fantastic movie, with amazing actors! This film should have won all kinds of awards!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
great fun, and Fay Wray ❤❤❤❤ 🎬🎥🤩
thanks for posting this🎥🎥🎥
Great movie, these old gems always entertain. There's always a few things that stick out, for one the dialogue is non stop kind of takes your breath away. The other thing is that there always seem to be a trip in the story, in this one things got rolling so fast the taxi deal just kind of got forgotten about.
Great little move in a charming time in America. Men and women needed each others and were happy to love each others
Excellent writing- delightful comedy!
